1 Chronicles 11

English: Then all Israel gathered themselves to David unto Hebron, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേലെല്ലാം ഹെബ്രോനിൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ അസ്ഥിയും മാംസവും അല്ലോ.

English: And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, you were he that led out and brought in Israel: and the LORD your God said unto you, You shall feed my people Israel, and you shall be ruler over my people Israel.

Malayalam: മുമ്പെ ശൌൽ രാജാവായിരുന്ന കാലത്തും നീയായിരുന്നു നായകനായി യിസ്രായേലിനെ നടത്തിയതു: നീ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ മേയ്ക്കയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമെന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടുമുണ്ടു.

English: Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരൊക്കെയും ഹെബ്രോനിൽ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു; ദാവീദ് ഹെബ്രോനിൽവെച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അവരോടു ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്തു; ശമൂവേൽമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു പോലെ അവർ ദാവീദിനെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായിട്ടു അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തു.

English: And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ദാവീദും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും യെബൂസ് എന്ന യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു ചെന്നു. അവിടെ ദേശനിവാസികളായ യെബൂസ്യർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, You shall not come here. Nevertheless David took the castle of Zion, which is the city of David.

Malayalam: യെബൂസ് നിവാസികൾ ദാവീദിനോടു: നീ ഇവിടെ കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും ദാവീദ് സീയോൻ കോട്ട പിടിച്ചു; അതു ആകുന്നു ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരം.

English: And David said, Whosoever strikes the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദാവീദ്: ആരെങ്കിലും യെബൂസ്യരെ ആദ്യം തോല്പിച്ചാൽ അവൻ തലവനും സേനാധിപതിയും ആയിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ സെരൂയയുടെ മകൻ യോവാബ് ആദ്യം കയറിച്ചെന്നു തലവനായിത്തീർന്നു.

English: And David dwelt in the castle; therefore they called it the city of David.

Malayalam: ദാവീദ് ആ കോട്ടയിൽ പാർത്തതു കൊണ്ടു അതിന്നു ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരം എന്നു പേരായി.

English: And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ നഗരത്തെ മില്ലോ തുടങ്ങി ചുറ്റും പണിതു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു; നഗരത്തിന്റെ ശേഷമുള്ള ഭാഗം യോവാബ് കേടുതീർത്തു.

English: So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.

Malayalam: സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതിനാൽ ദാവീദ് മേല്ക്കുമേൽ പ്രബലനായിത്തീർന്നു.

English: These also are the chief of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, and with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

Malayalam: ദാവീദിന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പ്രധാന വീരന്മാർ ആവിതു: യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം അവനെ രാജാവാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലുമായി രാജത്വം സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവന്റെ പക്ഷം മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചു.

English: And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had; Jashobeam, an Hachmonite, the chief of the captains: he lifted up his spear against three hundred slain by him at the same.

Malayalam: ദാവീദിന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്ന വീരന്മാരുടെ സംഖ്യയാവിതു: മുപ്പതുപേരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായി ഒരു ഹഖമോന്യന്റെ മകനായ യാശോബെയാം; അവൻ മുന്നൂറുപേരുടെ നേരെ കുന്തം ഓങ്ങി ഒരേ സമയത്തു അവരെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighty men.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ശേഷം അഹോഹ്യനായ ദോദോവിന്റെ മകൻ എലെയാസാർ; അവൻ മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.

Malayalam: ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ പസ്-ദമ്മീമിൽ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു കൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവിടെ ദാവീദിനോടു കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവിടെ യവം നിറഞ്ഞ ഒരു വയൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; പടജ്ജനം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോയി.

English: And they set themselves in the midst of that parcel, and delivered it, and slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great deliverance.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവർ ആ വയലിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിന്നു അതിനെ കാത്തു ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; യഹോവ അവർക്കു വലിയോരു ജയം നല്കി.

English: Now three of the thirty captains went down to the rock to David, into the cave of Adullam; and the host of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.

Malayalam: ഒരിക്കൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ സൈന്യം രെഫയീംതാഴ്വരയിൽ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മുപ്പതു തലവന്മാരിൽ മൂന്നുപേർ പാറയിങ്കൽ അദുല്ലാംഗുഹയിൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു.

English: And David was then in the hold, and the Philistines' garrison was then at Bethlehem.

Malayalam: അന്നു ദാവീദ് ദുർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നു; ഫെലിസ്ത്യർക്കു അക്കാലത്തു ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമിൽ ഒരു കാവൽപ്പട്ടാളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!

Malayalam: ബേത്ത്ളേഹെംപട്ടണവാതിൽക്കലെ കിണറ്റിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളം എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാൻ ആർ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരും എന്നു ദാവീദ് ആർത്തിപൂണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the three brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but David would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ ആ മൂന്നു പേരും ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ പാളയത്തിൽകൂടി കടന്നുചെന്നു ബേത്ത്ളേഹെംപട്ടണവാതിൽക്കലെ കിണറ്റിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളംകോരി ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ദാവീദോ അതു കുടിപ്പാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ യഹോവെക്കു നിവേദിച്ചു ഒഴിച്ചു:

English: And said, My God forbid it me, that I should do this thing: shall I drink the blood of these men that have put their lives in jeopardy? for with the jeopardy of their lives they brought it. Therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three might.

Malayalam: ഇതു ചെയ്‍വാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവം എനിക്കു സംഗതി വരുത്തരുതേ; തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പോയ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ രക്തം ഞാൻ കുടിക്കയോ? അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചല്ലോ അതു കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്നു അതു കുടിപ്പാൻ മനസ്സായില്ല; ഇതാകുന്നു ഈ മൂന്നു വീരന്മാർ ചെയ്തതു.

English: And Abishai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the three: for lifting up his spear against three hundred, he slew them, and had a name among the three.

Malayalam: യോവാബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അബീശായി മൂവരിൽ തലവനായിരുന്നു; അവൻ മുന്നൂറുപേരുടെ നേരെ കുന്തം ഓങ്ങി, അവരെ കൊന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ ആ മൂവരിൽവെച്ചു കീർത്തിപ്രാപിച്ചു;

English: Of the three, he was more honourable than the two; for he was their captain: nevertheless he attained not to the first three.

Malayalam: ഈ മൂവരിൽ രണ്ടുപേരെക്കാൾ അധികം മാനം അവൻ പ്രാപിച്ചു അവർക്കു നായകനായ്തീർന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ മറ്റെ മൂവരോളം വരികയില്ല.

English: Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.

Malayalam: കബ്സേലിൽ ഒരു പരാക്രമശാലിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവും വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്തു അവൻ മോവാബിലെ അരീയേലിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരെ സംഹരിച്ചതല്ലാതെ ഹിമകാലത്തു ഒരു ഗുഹയിൽ ചെന്നു ഒരു സിംഹത്തെയും കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

Malayalam: അവൻ അഞ്ചുമുഴം പൊക്കമുള്ള ദീർഘകായനായോരു മിസ്രയീമ്യനെയും സംഹരിച്ചു; ആ മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നെയ്ത്തുകാരന്റെ പടപ്പുതടിപോലെ ഒരു കുന്തം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇവനോ ഒരു വടിയുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു കുന്തം പിടിച്ചു പറിച്ചു കുന്തംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among the three mighty men.

Malayalam: ഇവ യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവു ചെയ്തു, മൂന്നു വീരന്മാരിൽവെച്ചു കീർത്തി പ്രാപിച്ചു.

English: Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard.

Malayalam: അവൻ മുപ്പതു പേരിലും മാനമേറിയവനായിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും മറ്റേ മൂവരോളം വരികയില്ല. ദാവീദ് അവനെ അകമ്പടിനായകനാക്കി.

English: Also the valiant men of the armies were, Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

Malayalam: സൈന്യത്തിലെ വീരന്മാരോ യോവാബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അസാഹേൽ, ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമ്യനായ ദോദോവിന്റെ മകൻ എൽഹാനാൻ,

English: Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,

Malayalam: ഹരോർയ്യനായ ശമ്മോത്ത്, പെലോന്യനായ ഹേലെസ്,

English: Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abiezer the Antothite,

Malayalam: തെക്കോവ്യനായ ഇക്കേശിന്റെ മകൻ ഈരാ, അനാഥോത്യനായ അബീയേസേർ,

English: Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,

Malayalam: ഹൂശാത്യനായ സിബെഖായി, അഹോഹ്യനായ ഈലായി, നെതോഫാത്യനായ മഹരായി,

English: Maharai the Netophathite, Heled the son of Baanah the Netophathite,

Malayalam: നെതോഫാത്യനായ ബാനയുടെ മകൻ ഹേലെദ്,

English: Ithai the son of Ribai of Gibeah, that pertained to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

Malayalam: ബെന്യാമീന്യരുടെ ഗിബെയയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള രീബായിയുടെ മകൻ ഈഥായി, പരാഥോന്യനായ ബെനായാവു,

English: Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,

Malayalam: നഹലേഗാശിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഹൂരായി, അർബ്ബാത്യനായ അബീയേൽ,

English: Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,

Malayalam: ബഹരൂമ്യനായ അസ്മാവെത്ത്, ശയൽബോന്യനായ എല്യഹ്ബാ,

English: The sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite,

Malayalam: ഗീസോന്യനായ ഹശേമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ, ഹരാർയ്യനായ ശാഗേയുടെ മകൻ യോനാഥാൻ,

English: Ahiam the son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal the son of Ur,

Malayalam: ഹരാർയ്യനായ സാഖാരിന്റെ മകൻ അഹീയാം, ഊരിന്റെ മകൻ എലീഫാൽ,

English: Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,

Malayalam: മെഖേരാത്യനായ ഹേഫെർ, പെലോന്യനായ അഹീയാവു, കർമ്മേല്യനായ ഹെസ്രോ,

English: Hezro the Carmelite, Naarai the son of Ezbai,

Malayalam: എസ്ബായിയുടെ മകൻ നയരായി,

English: Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibhar the son of Haggeri,

Malayalam: നാഥാന്റെ സഹോദരൻ യോവേൽ, ഹഗ്രിയുടെ മകൻ മിബ്ഹാർ,

English: Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, the armour bearer of Joab the son of Zeruiah,

Malayalam: അമ്മോന്യനായ സേലെക്, സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ യോവാബിന്റെ ആയുധവാഹകനായ ബെരോത്യൻ നഹ്രായി,

English: Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,

Malayalam: യിത്രീയനായ ഈരാ, യിത്രീയനായ ഗാരേബ്,

English: Uriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,

Malayalam: ഹിത്യനായ ഊരീയാവു, അഹ്ളായിയുടെ മകൻ സാബാദ്, രൂബേന്യരുടെ സേനാപതിയും

English: Adina the son of Shiza the Reubenite, a captain of the Reubenites, and thirty with him,

Malayalam: മുപ്പതുപേർ അകമ്പടിയുള്ളവനുമായി രൂബേന്യനായ ശീസയുടെ മകൻ അദീനാ,

English: Hanan the son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,

Malayalam: മയഖയുടെ മകൻ ഹാനാൻ, മിത്ന്യനായ യോശാഫാത്ത്,

English: Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jehiel the sons of Hothan the Aroerite,

Malayalam: അസ്തെരാത്യനായ ഉസ്സീയാവു, അരോവേർയ്യനായ ഹോഥാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരയ ശാമാ,

English: Jediael the son of Shimri, and Joha his brother, the Tizite,

Malayalam: യെയീയേൽ, ശിമ്രിയുടെ മകനായ യെദീയയേൽ തീസ്യനായി അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യോഹാ, മഹവ്യനായ എലീയേൽ,

English: Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,

Malayalam: എൽനാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ യെരീബായി, യോശവ്യാവു, മോവാബ്യൻ യിത്തമാ,

English: Eliel, and Obed, and Jasiel the Mesobaite.

Malayalam: എലീയേൽ, ഓബേദ്, മെസോബ്യനായ യാസീയേൽ എന്നിവർ തന്നേ.
