English: Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speaking,

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ സകലദുഷ്ടതയും എല്ലാ ചതിവും വ്യാജഭാവവും അസൂയയും എല്ലാനുണയും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു

English: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that all of you may grow thereby:

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോൾ ജനിച്ച ശിശുക്കളെപ്പോലെ രക്ഷെക്കായി വളരുവാൻ വചനം എന്ന മായമില്ലാത്ത പാൽ കുടിപ്പാൻ

English: If so be all of you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Malayalam: വാഞ്ഛിപ്പിൻ. കർത്താവു ദയാലു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ആസ്വദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

English: To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യർ തള്ളിയതെങ്കിലും ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും മാന്യവുമായ ജീവനുള്ള കല്ലായ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിട്ടു

English: All of you also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളും ജീവനുള്ള കല്ലുകൾ എന്നപോലെ ആത്മികഗൃഹമായി യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ആത്മികയാഗം കഴിപ്പാന്തക്ക വിശുദ്ധപുരോഹിതവർഗ്ഗമാകേ ണ്ടതിന്നു പണിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

English: Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.

Malayalam: “ഞാൻ ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും മാന്യവുമായോരു മൂലക്കല്ലു സീയോനിൽ ഇടുന്നു; അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകയില്ല” എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തിൽ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

Malayalam: വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആ മാന്യതയുണ്ടു; വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവർക്കോ “വീടു പണിയുന്നവർ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ലു തന്നേ മൂലക്കല്ലും ഇടർച്ചക്കല്ലും തടങ്ങൽ പാറയുമായിത്തീർന്നു.”

English: And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: unto which also they were appointed.

Malayalam: അവർ വചനം അനുസരിക്കായ്കയാൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു; അതിന്നു അവരെ വെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: But all of you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, an exclusive people; that all of you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളോ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽനിന്നു തന്റെ അത്ഭുത പ്രകാശത്തിലേക്കു നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചവന്റെ സൽഗുണങ്ങളെ ഘോഷിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു ജാതിയും രാജകീയപുരോഹിതവർഗ്ഗവും വിശുദ്ധവംശവും സ്വന്തജനവും ആകുന്നു.

English: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Malayalam: മുമ്പെ നിങ്ങൾ ജനമല്ലാത്തവർ; ഇപ്പോഴോ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജനം; കരുണ ലഭിക്കാത്തവർ; ഇപ്പോഴോ കരുണ ലഭിച്ചവർ തന്നേ.

English: Dearly beloved, I plead to you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Malayalam: പ്രിയമുള്ളവരേ, പ്രവാസികളും പരദേശികളുമായ നിങ്ങളെ ആത്മാവിനോടു പോരാടുന്ന ജഡമോഹങ്ങളെ വിട്ടകന്നു ജാതികൾ നിങ്ങളെ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർ എന്നു ദുഷിക്കുന്തോറും

English: Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികളെ കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു സന്ദർശനദിവസത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ നടപ്പു നന്നായിരിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

Malayalam: സകല മാനുഷനിയമത്തിന്നും കർത്താവിൻ നിമിത്തം കീഴടങ്ങുവിൻ.

English: Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

Malayalam: ശ്രേഷ്ഠാധികാരി എന്നുവെച്ചു രാജാവിന്നും ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ ദണ്ഡനത്തിന്നും സൽപ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ മാനത്തിന്നുമായി അവനാൽ അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ എന്നുവെച്ചു നാടുവാഴികൾക്കും കീഴടങ്ങുവിൻ.

English: For so is the will of God, that with well doing all of you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഭോഷത്വം മിണ്ടാതാക്കേണം എന്നുള്ളതു ദൈവേഷ്ടം ആകുന്നു.

English: As free, and not using your liberty for a coat of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

Malayalam: സ്വതന്ത്രരായും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ദുഷ്ടതെക്കു മറയാക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായും നടപ്പിൻ.

English: Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരെയും ബഹുമാനിപ്പിൻ; സഹോദരവർഗ്ഗത്തെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ; ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുവിൻ; രാജാവിനെ ബഹുമാനിപ്പിൻ.

English: Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the perverse.

Malayalam: വേലക്കാരേ, പൂർണ്ണഭയത്തോടെ യജമാനന്മാർക്കു, നല്ലവർക്കും ശാന്തന്മാർക്കും മാത്രമല്ല, മൂർഖന്മാർക്കും കൂടെ കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിപ്പിൻ.

English: For this deserves giving of thanks, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തൻ ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മനോബോധം നിമിത്തം അന്യായമായി കഷ്ടവും ദുഃഖവും സഹിച്ചാൽ അതു പ്രസാദം ആകുന്നു.

English: For what glory is it, if, when all of you be buffeted for your faults, all of you shall take it patiently? but if, when all of you do well, and suffer for it, all of you take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ കുറ്റം ചെയ്തിട്ടു അടികൊള്ളുന്നതു സഹിച്ചാൽ എന്തു യശസ്സുള്ളു? അല്ല, നന്മ ചെയ്തിട്ടു കഷ്ടം സഹിച്ചാൽ അതു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദം.

English: For even hereunto were all of you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that all of you should follow his steps:

Malayalam: അതിന്നായിട്ടല്ലോ നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു. ക്രിസ്തുവും നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചു, നിങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ കാൽച്ചുവടു പിന്തുടരുവാൻ ഒരു മാതൃക വെച്ചേച്ചു പോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

Malayalam: അവൻ പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; അവന്റെ വായിൽ വഞ്ചന ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

English: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judges righteously:

Malayalam: തന്നെ ശകാരിച്ചിട്ടു പകരം ശകാരിക്കാതെയും കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടു ഭീഷണം പറയാതെയും ന്യായമായി വിധിക്കുന്നവങ്കൽ കാര്യം ഭരമേല്പിക്കയത്രേ ചെയ്തതു.

English: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes all of you were healed.

Malayalam: നാം പാപം സംബന്ധിച്ചു മരിച്ചു നീതിക്കു ജീവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ തന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു ക്രൂശിന്മേൽ കയറി; അവന്റെ അടിപ്പിണരാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: For all of you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ തെറ്റി ഉഴലുന്ന ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാക്കളുടെ ഇടയനും അദ്ധ്യക്ഷനുമായവങ്കലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
