1 Samuel 3

English: And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.

Malayalam: ശമൂവേൽബാലൻ ഏലിയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ യഹോവെക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു; ആ കാലത്തു യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ദുർല്ലഭമായിരുന്നു; ദർശനം ഏറെ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.

English: And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;

Malayalam: ആ കാലത്തു ഒരിക്കൽ ഏലി തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു കിടന്നുറങ്ങി; കാണ്മാൻ വഹിയാതവണ്ണം അവന്റെ കണ്ണു മങ്ങിത്തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

English: And before the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;

Malayalam: ശമൂവേൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ഇരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിളക്കു കെടുന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പെ ചെന്നു കിടന്നു.

English: That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ശമൂവേലിനെ വിളിച്ചു: അടിയൻ എന്നു അവൻ വിളികേട്ടു ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു: അടിയൻ ഇതാ; എന്നെ വിളിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for you called me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചില്ല; പോയി കിടന്നുകൊൾക എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ പോയി കിടന്നു.

English: And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you did call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.

Malayalam: യഹോവ പിന്നെയും: ശമൂവേലേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. ശമൂവേൽ എഴന്നേറ്റു ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: അടിയൻ ഇതാ; എന്നെ വിളിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചില്ല, മകനേ; പോയി കിടന്നുകൊൾക എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.

Malayalam: ശമൂവേൽ അന്നുവരെ യഹോവയെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം അവന്നു അന്നുവരെ വെളിപ്പെട്ടതുമില്ല.

English: And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you did call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ശമൂവേലിനെ മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യം വിളിച്ചു. അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: അടിയൻ ഇതാ; എന്നെ വിളിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയായിരുന്നു ബാലനെ വിളിച്ചതു എന്നു ഏലിക്കു മനസ്സിലായി.

English: Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call you, that you shall say, Speak, LORD; for your servant hears. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

Malayalam: ഏലി ശമൂവേലിനോടു: പോയി കിടന്നുകൊൾക; ഇനിയും നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചാൽ: യഹോവേ, അരുളിച്ചെയ്യേണമേ; അടിയൻ കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു കൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ശമൂവേൽ തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു ചെന്നുകിടന്നു.

English: And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for your servant hears.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ വന്നുനിന്നു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ: ശമൂവേലേ, ശമൂവേലേ, എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. അതിന്നു ശമൂവേൽ: അരുളിച്ചെയ്യേണമേ; അടിയൻ കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that hears it shall tingle.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ശമൂവേലിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഒരു കാര്യം ചെയ്യും; അതു കേൾക്കുന്നവന്റെ ചെവി രണ്ടും മുഴങ്ങും.

English: In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ അന്നു അവന്റെമേൽ ആദ്യന്തം നിവർത്തിക്കും.

English: For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knows; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്ന അകൃത്യം അവൻ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവരെ ശാസിച്ചമർത്തായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്നു എന്നേക്കും ശിക്ഷവിധിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.

Malayalam: ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു യാഗത്താലും വഴിപാടിനാലും ഒരു നാളും പരിഹാരം വരികയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തോടു സത്യംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to show Eli the vision.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ശമൂവേൽ രാവിലെവരെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങി; രാവിലെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകളെ തുറന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഈ ദർശനം ഏലിയെ അറിയിപ്പാൻ ശമൂവേൽ ശങ്കിച്ചു.

English: Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I.

Malayalam: ഏലി ശമൂവേലിനെ വിളിച്ചു: ശമൂവേലേ, മകനേ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അടിയൻ ഇതാ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, What is the thing that the LORD has said unto you? I pray you hide it not from me: God do so to you, and more also, if you hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto you.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: നിനക്കുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തു? എന്നെ ഒന്നും മറെക്കരുതേ; നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സകലത്തിലും ഒരു വാക്കെങ്കിലും മറെച്ചാൽ ദൈവം നിന്നോടു തക്കവണ്ണവും അധികവും ചെയ്യട്ടേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seems him good.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ ശമൂവേൽ സകലവും അവനെ അറിയിച്ചു; ഒന്നും മറെച്ചില്ല. എന്നാറെ അവൻ: യഹോവയല്ലോ; തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ചെയ്യട്ടേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ശമൂവേൽ വളർന്നു, യഹോവ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നും നിഷ്ഫലമാകുവാൻ ഇടവരുത്തിയില്ല.

English: And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.

Malayalam: ദാൻ മുതൽ ബേർ-ശേബാവരെ ഉള്ള യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും ശമൂവേൽ യഹോവയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തപ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

English: And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവ ശീലോവിൽ വെച്ചു ശമൂവേലിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനത്താൽ വെളിപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ശീലോവിൽവെച്ചു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.
