1 Timothy 5

English: Rebuke not an elder, but implore him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;

Malayalam: മൂത്തവനെ ഭർത്സിക്കാതെ അപ്പനെപ്പോലയും ഇളയവരെ സഹോദരന്മാരെപ്പോലെയും

English: The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

Malayalam: മൂത്ത സ്ത്രീകളെ അമ്മമാരെപ്പോലെയും ഇളയ സ്ത്രീകളെ പൂർണ്ണനിർമ്മലതയോടെ സഹോദരികളെപ്പോലെയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്ക.

English: Honour widows that are widows indeed.

Malayalam: സാക്ഷാൽ വിധവമാരായിരിക്കുന്ന വിധവമാരെ മാനിക്ക.

English: But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to show piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.

Malayalam: വല്ല വിധവെക്കും പുത്രപൌത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവർ മുമ്പെ സ്വന്തകുടുംബത്തിൽ ഭക്തി കാണിച്ചു അമ്മയപ്പന്മാർക്കു പ്രത്യുപകാരം ചെയ്‍വാൻ പഠിക്കട്ടെ; ഇതു ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രസാദകരമാകുന്നു.

English: Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusts in God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.

Malayalam: സാക്ഷാൽ വിധവയും ഏകാകിയുമായവൾ ദൈവത്തിൽ ആശവെച്ചു രാപ്പകൽ യാചനയിലും പ്രാർത്ഥനയിലും ഉറ്റുപാർക്കുന്നു.

English: But she that lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.

Malayalam: കാമുകിയായവളോ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയിൽ തന്നേ ചത്തവൾ.

English: And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.

Malayalam: അവർ നിരപവാദ്യമാരായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഇതു ആജ്ഞാപിക്ക.

English: But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Malayalam: തനിക്കുള്ളവർക്കും പ്രത്യേകം സ്വന്ത കുടുംബക്കാർക്കും വേണ്ടി കരുതാത്തവൻ വിശ്വാസം തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു അവിശ്വാസിയെക്കാൾ അധമനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man.

Malayalam: സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ ശ്രുതിപ്പെട്ടു ഏകഭർത്താവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായിരുന്നു അറുപതു വയസ്സിന്നു താഴെയല്ലാത്ത വിധവ

English: Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

Malayalam: മക്കളെ വളർത്തുകയോ അതിഥികളെ സല്ക്കരിക്കയോ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കാലുകളെ കഴുകുകയോ ഞെരുക്കമുള്ളവർക്കു മുട്ടുതീർക്കുകയോ സർവ്വസൽപ്രവൃത്തിയും ചെയ്തു പോരുകയോ ചെയ്തു എങ്കിൽ അവളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം.

English: But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;

Malayalam: ഇളയ വിധവമാരെ ഒഴിക്ക; അവർ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു വിരോധമായി പുളെച്ചു മദിക്കുമ്പോൾ വിവാഹം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കും.

English: Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

Malayalam: ആദ്യവിശ്വാസം തള്ളുകയാൽ അവർക്കു ശിക്ഷാവിധി ഉണ്ടു.

English: And likewise they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but gossiping also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

Malayalam: അത്രയുമല്ല അവർ വീടുതോറും നടന്നു മിനക്കെടുവാനും ശീലിക്കും; മിനക്കെടുക മാത്രമല്ല വായാടികളും പരകാര്യത്തിൽ ഇടപെടുന്നവരുമായി അരുതാത്തതു സംസാരിക്കും.

English: I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ ഇളയവർ വിവാഹം ചെയ്കയും പുത്രസമ്പത്തുണ്ടാക്കുകയും ഭവനം രക്ഷിക്കയും വിരോധിക്കു അപവാദത്തിന്നു അവസരം ഒന്നും കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്കയും വേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

English: For some are already turned aside after Satan.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ ചിലർ സാത്താന്റെ പിന്നാലെ പോയല്ലോ.

English: If any man or woman that believes have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

Malayalam: ഒരു വിശ്വാസിനിക്കു വിധവമാർ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവൾ തന്നേ അവർക്കു മുട്ടുതീർക്കട്ടെ; സഭെക്കു ഭാരം വരരുതു; സാക്ഷാൽ വിധവമാരായവർക്കു മുട്ടുതീർപ്പാനുണ്ടല്ലോ.

English: Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Malayalam: നന്നായി ഭരിക്കുന്ന മൂപ്പന്മാരെ, പ്രത്യേകം വചനത്തിലും ഉപദേശത്തിലും അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കുന്നവരെ തന്നേ, ഇരട്ടി മാനത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യരായി എണ്ണുക.

English: For the scripture says, You shall not suppress the ox that treads out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

Malayalam: മെതിക്കുന്ന കാളെക്കു മുഖക്കൊട്ട കെട്ടരുതു എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തു പറയുന്നു; വേലക്കാരൻ തന്റെ കൂലിക്കു യോഗ്യൻ എന്നും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

English: Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

Malayalam: രണ്ടു മൂന്നു സാക്ഷികൾ മുഖേനയല്ലാതെ ഒരു മൂപ്പന്റെ നേരെ അന്യായം എടുക്കരുതു.

English: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Malayalam: പാപം ചെയ്യുന്നവരെ ശേഷമുള്ളവർക്കും ഭയത്തിന്നായി എല്ലാവരും കേൾക്കെ ശാസിക്ക.

English: I charge you before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

Malayalam: നീ പക്ഷമായി ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെകണ്ടു സിദ്ധാന്തം കൂടാതെ ഇവ പ്രമാണിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തെയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെയും ശ്രേഷ്ഠദൂതന്മാരെയും സാക്ഷിയാക്കി നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep yourself pure.

Malayalam: യാതൊരുത്തന്റെ മേലും വേഗത്തിൽ കൈവെക്കരുതു; അന്യന്മാരുടെ പാപങ്ങളിൽ ഓഹരിക്കാരനാകയുമരുതു. നിന്നെത്തന്നെ നിർമ്മലനായി കാത്തുകൊൾക.

English: Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and yours often infirmities.

Malayalam: മേലാൽ വെള്ളം മാത്രം കുടിക്കാതെ നിന്റെ അജീർണ്ണതയും കൂടെക്കൂടെയുള്ള ക്ഷീണതയും നിമിത്തം അല്പം വീഞ്ഞും സേവിച്ചുകൊൾക.

English: Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Malayalam: ചില മനുഷ്യരുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ വിസ്താരത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ തന്നേ വെളിവായിരിക്കുന്നു; ചിലരുടെ പാപങ്ങളോ ക്രമേണയത്രേ.

English: Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

Malayalam: സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ വെളിവാകുന്നു; വെളിവാകാത്തവയും മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കയില്ല.
