2 Chronicles 13

English: Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign over Judah.

Malayalam: യൊരോബെയാംരാജാവിന്റെ പതിനെട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ അബീയാവു യെഹൂദയിൽ രാജാവായി.

English: He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

Malayalam: അവൻ മൂന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു മീഖായാ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ ഗിബെയക്കാരനായ ഊരീയേലിന്റെ മകൾ. അബീയാവിന്നും യൊരോബെയാമിന്നും തമ്മിൽ യുദ്ധം ഉണ്ടായി.

English: And Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour.

Malayalam: അബീയാവു നാലു ലക്ഷം ശ്രേഷ്ഠയുദ്ധവീരന്മാരുള്ളോരു സൈന്യത്തെ അണിനിരത്തി; യൊരോബെയാം അവന്റെ നേരെ എട്ടുലക്ഷം ശ്രേഷ്ഠയുദ്ധവീരന്മാരെ അണിനിരത്തി.

English: And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, you Jeroboam, and all Israel;

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അബീയാവു എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിലെ സെമരായീം മലമുകളിൽ നിന്നുംകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യെരോബെയാമും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും ആയുള്ളോരേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പിൻ.

English: Ought all of you not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിലെ രാജത്വം ഒരു ലവണനിയമത്താൽ ദാവീദിന്നു, അവന്നും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർക്കും തന്നേ, സദാകാലത്തേക്കു നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതല്ലയോ?

English: Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, has risen up, and has rebelled against his lord.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസനും നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനുമായ യൊരോബെയാം എഴുന്നേറ്റു തന്റെ യജമാനനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു.

English: And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them.

Malayalam: നീചന്മാരായ നിസ്സാരന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുകൂടി, ശലോമോന്റെ മകനായ രെഹബെയാമിനോടു ദാർഷ്ട്യം കാണിച്ചു; രെഹബെയാമോ യൌവനക്കാരനും മനോബലമില്ലാത്തവനുമായിരുന്നതിനാൽ അവരോടു എതിർത്തുനില്പാൻ അവന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

English: And now all of you think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and all of you be a great multitude, and there are with your golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ കൈവശമുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ രാജത്വത്തോടു എതിർത്തുനില്പാൻ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ വലിയോരു സമൂഹം തന്നേ; യൊരോബെയാം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവമായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ പൊൻകാളക്കുട്ടികളും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

English: Have all of you not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ യഹോവയുടെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു അന്യദേശങ്ങളിലെ ജാതികളുടെ മര്യാദപ്രകാരം നിങ്ങൾക്കു പുരോഹിതന്മാരെ ആക്കീട്ടില്ലയോ? ഒരു കാളക്കുട്ടിയോടും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരോടും കൂടെ കരപൂരണത്തിന്നു വന്ന ഏവനും ദൈവമല്ലാത്തവെക്കു പുരോഹിതനായ്തീരുന്നു.

English: But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business:

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമോ യഹോവയാകുന്നു; അവനെ ഞങ്ങൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല: യഹോവെക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാരായിട്ടു അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഞങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടു; ലേവ്യരും തങ്ങളുടെ വേല നോക്കിവരുന്നു.

English: And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the showbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but all of you have forsaken him.

Malayalam: അവർ ദിനംപ്രതി രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും യഹോവെക്കു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും പരിമളധൂപവും അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു; കാഴ്ചയപ്പം വിശുദ്ധമേശമേൽ അടുക്കന്നു; പൊൻ നിലവിളക്കും അതിന്റെ ദീപങ്ങളും വൈകുന്നേരംതോറും കത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളോ അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight all of you not against the LORD God of your fathers; for all of you shall not prosper.

Malayalam: ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ തലവനായി ദൈവവും നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മഹാധ്വനികാഹളങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; യിസ്രായേല്യരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു നിങ്ങൾ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ കൃതാർത്ഥരാകയില്ല;

English: But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യൊരോബെയാം അവരുടെ പുറകിൽ വളഞ്ഞുചെല്ലുവാൻ പതിയിരിപ്പുകാരെ അയച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ അവർ യെഹൂദ്യരുടെ മുമ്പിലും പതിയിരിപ്പുകാർ പുറകിലും ആയി.

English: And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദ്യർ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കിയപ്പോൾ പട മുമ്പിലും പുറകിലും കണ്ടു, യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു പുരോഹിതന്മാർ കാഹളം ഊതി, യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാർ ആർത്തുവിളിച്ചു.

English: Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God stroke Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാർ ആർത്തുവിളിച്ചപ്പോൾ ദൈവം യൊരോബെയാമിനെയും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനെയും അബീയാവിനോടും യെഹൂദ്യരോടും തോല്ക്കുമാറാക്കി.

English: And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേല്യർ യെഹൂദ്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഓടി, ദൈവം അവരെ അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു;

English: And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.

Malayalam: അബീയാവും അവന്റെ ജനവും അവരെ കഠിനമായി തോല്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേലിൽ അഞ്ചുലക്ഷം ശ്രേഷ്ഠയോദ്ധാക്കൾ ഹതന്മാരായി വീണു.

English: Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേല്യർക്കു ആ കാലത്തു താഴ്ച വന്നു; യെഹൂദ്യരോ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു ജയംപ്രാപിച്ചു.

English: And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephraim with the towns thereof.

Malayalam: അബീയാവു യൊരോബെയാമിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നുചെന്നു അവന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പിടിച്ചു; ബേഥേലും അതിനോടു ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും യെശാനയും അതിനോടു ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും എഫ്രോനും അതിനോടു ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ.

English: Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD struck him, and he died.

Malayalam: യൊരോബെയാം അബീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്തു ബലം പ്രാപിച്ചില്ല; യഹോവ അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു,

English: But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and brings forth twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.

Malayalam: അവൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി. എന്നാൽ അബീയാവു ബലവാനായ്തീർന്നു; അവൻ പതിന്നാലു ഭാര്യമാരെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പതിനാറു പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.

Malayalam: അബീയാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന്റെ നടപ്പും വാക്കുകളും ഇദ്ദോപ്രവാചകന്റെ ചരിത്രപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
