2 Chronicles 25

English: Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

Malayalam: അമസ്യാവു വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. അവൻ ഇരുപത്തൊമ്പതു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു യെഹോവദ്ദാൻ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ യെരൂശലേംകാരത്തിയായിരുന്നു.

English: And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.

Malayalam: അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു പ്രസാദമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു; ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയത്തോടെ അല്ലതാനും.

English: Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.

Malayalam: രാജത്വം അവന്നു ഉറെച്ചശേഷം അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ രാജാവിനെ കൊന്ന തന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കു മരണശിക്ഷ നടത്തി.

English: But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെ അവൻ കൊല്ലിച്ചില്ല; അപ്പന്മാർ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ നിമിത്തം മരിക്കരുതു; പുത്രന്മാർ അപ്പന്മാരുടെ നിമിത്തവും മരിക്കരുതു; ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ സ്വന്തപാപം നിമിത്തമേ മരിക്കാവു എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി മോശെയുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിലെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ തന്നേ.

English: Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അമസ്യാവു യെഹൂദയെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി; എല്ലായെഹൂദയും ബെന്യാമീനുമായ അവരെ സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാർക്കും ശതാധിപന്മാർക്കും കീഴെ പിതൃഭവനം പിതൃഭവനമായി നിർത്തി. ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടുള്ളവരെ എണ്ണി, കുന്തവും പരിചയും എടുപ്പാൻ പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠയോദ്ധാക്കൾ മൂന്നു ലക്ഷം എന്നു കണ്ടു.

English: He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.

Malayalam: അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നും ഒരു ലക്ഷം പരാക്രമശാലികളെ നൂറു താലന്ത് വെള്ളി കൊടുത്തു കൂലിക്കു വാങ്ങി.

English: But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with you; for the LORD is not with Israel, to know, with all the children of Ephraim.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഒരു ദൈവപുരുഷൻ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: രാജാവേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സൈന്യം നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പോരരുതു; യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു കൂടെ, എല്ലാ എഫ്രയീമ്യരോടുംകൂടെ തന്നേ ഇല്ല.

English: But if you will go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make you fall before the enemy: for God has power to help, and to cast down.

Malayalam: നീ തന്നേ ചെന്നു യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ധൈര്യം കാണിക്ക; അല്ലാത്തപക്ഷം ദൈവം നിന്നെ ശത്രുവിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വീഴിച്ചേക്കാം; സഹായിപ്പാനും വീഴിപ്പാനും ദൈവത്തിന്നു ശക്തിയുണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give you much more than this.

Malayalam: അമസ്യാവു ദൈവപുരുഷനോടു: എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽപടക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്നു കൊടുത്ത നൂറു താലന്തിന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു ദൈവപുരുഷൻ: അതിനെക്കാൾ അധികം നിനക്കു തരുവാൻ യഹോവെക്കു കഴിയും എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then Amaziah separated them, to know, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അമസ്യാവു അവരെ, എഫ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന പടക്കൂട്ടത്തെ തന്നേ, അവരുടെ നാട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു വേർതിരിച്ചു; അവരുടെ കോപം യെഹൂദെക്കു നേരെ ഏറ്റവും ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവർ അതികോപത്തോടെ തങ്ങളുടെ നാട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and stroke of the children of Seir ten thousand.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം അമസ്യാവു ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു തന്റെ പടജ്ജനത്തെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ഉപ്പുതാഴ്വരയിൽ ചെന്നു സേയീർയ്യരിൽ പതിനായിരംപേരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

English: And other ten thousand left alive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces.

Malayalam: വേറെ പതിനായിരംപേരെ യെഹൂദ്യർ ജീവനോടെ പിടിച്ചു പാറമുകളിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി പാറമുകളിൽനിന്നു തള്ളിയിട്ടു; അവരെല്ലാവരും തകർന്നുപോയി.

English: But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron, and stroke three thousand of them, and took much spoil.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ തന്നോടുകൂടെ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോരാതെയിരിപ്പാൻ അമസ്യാവു മടക്കി അയച്ചിരുന്ന പടക്കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ആളുകൾ ശമർയ്യമുതൽ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോൻ വരെയുള്ള യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളെ ആക്രമിച്ചു മൂവായിരം ആളുകളെ കൊന്നു വളരെ കൊള്ളയിട്ടു.

English: Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അമസ്യാവു എദോമ്യരെ സംഹരിച്ചു മടങ്ങിവന്നശേഷം അവൻ സേയീർയ്യരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവയെ തനിക്കു ദേവന്മാരായി നിർത്തി അവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നമസ്കരിക്കയും അവെക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

English: Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why have you sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of yours hand?

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ കോപം അമസ്യാവിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു അവൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു; നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തജനത്തെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ നീ അന്വേഷിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു അവനോടു പറയിച്ചു.

English: And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Are you made of the king's counsel? forbear; why should you be smitten? Then the prophet ceased, and said, I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not hearkened unto my counsel.

Malayalam: അവൻ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ രാജാവു അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ രാജാവിന്നു മന്ത്രിയാക്കി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ? മതി; നീ വെറുതെ വെട്ടുകൊണ്ടു ചാകുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകൻ മതിയാക്കി: നീ എന്റെ ആലോചന കേൾക്കാതെ ഇതു ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അമസ്യാവു ആലോചന കഴിച്ചിട്ടു യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായി യേഹൂവിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോവാഹാസിന്റെ മകൻ യോവാശിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: വരിക, നാം തമ്മിൽ ഒന്നു നോക്കുക എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

English: And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യോവാശ് യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അമസ്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ: ലെബാനോനിലെ മുൾപടർപ്പു ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: നിന്റെ മകളെ എന്റെ മകന്നു ഭാര്യയായി തരിക എന്നു പറയിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ലെബാനോനിലെ ഒരു കാട്ടുമൃഗം കടന്നുചെന്നു മുൾപടർപ്പിനെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: You says, Lo, you have smitten the Edomites; and yours heart lifts you up to boast: abide now at home; why should you meddle to yours hurt, that you should fall, even you, and Judah with you?

Malayalam: എദോമ്യരെ തോല്പിച്ചു എന്നു നീ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു; വമ്പുപറവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ മനസ്സു നിഗളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വീട്ടിൽ അടങ്ങി പാർത്തുകൊൾക; നീയും യെഹൂദയും വീഴുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഇടപെടുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?

English: But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അമസ്യാവു കേട്ടില്ല; അവർ എദോമ്യദേവന്മാരെ ആശ്രയിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവരെ ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു ദൈവഹിതത്താൽ സംഭവിച്ചു.

English: So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongs to Judah.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യോവാശ് പുറപ്പെട്ടുചെന്നു; അവനും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അമസ്യാവും യെഹൂദെക്കുള്ള ബേത്ത്-ശേമെശിൽവെച്ചു തമ്മിൽ നേരിട്ടു.

English: And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദാ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു തോറ്റു ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോയി.

English: And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യോവാശ്, യെഹോവാഹാസിന്റെ മകനായ യോവാശിന്റെ മകനായി, യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അമസ്യാവെ ബേത്ത്-ശെമെശിൽവെച്ചു പിടിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ മതിൽ എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ പടിവാതിൽമുതൽ കോൺപടിവാതിൽവരെ നാനൂറുമുഴം ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the treasures of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.

Malayalam: അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഓബേദ്-എദോമിന്റെ പക്കൽ കണ്ട എല്ലാപൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും സകലപാത്രങ്ങളും രാജധാനിയിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരവും എടുത്തു ജാമ്യക്കാരെയും പിടിച്ചു ശമർയ്യയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ യെഹോവാഹാസിന്റെ മകൻ യോവാശ് മരിച്ചശേഷം യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യോവാശിന്റെ മകൻ അമസ്യാവു പതിനഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അമസ്യാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ളവൃത്താന്തങ്ങൾ ആദ്യാവസാനം യെഹൂദയിലെയും യിസ്രായേലിലെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.

Malayalam: അമസ്യാവു യഹോവയെ വിട്ടുമാറിയ കാലംമുതൽ അവർ യെരൂശലേമിൽ അവന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി; അതുനിമിത്തം അവൻ ലാഖീശിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോയി: എന്നാൽ അവർ ലാഖീശിലേക്കു അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ആളയച്ചു അവിടെവെച്ചു അവനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: And they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.

Malayalam: അവനെ കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു യെഹൂദയുടെ മൂലനഗരത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു.
