2 Kings 2

English: And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ഏലീയാവെ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്കു എടുത്തുകൊൾവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവു എലീശയോടു കൂടെ ഗിൽഗാലിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

English: And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they went down to Bethel.

Malayalam: ഏലീയാവു എലീശയോടു: നീ ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ചു കൊൾക: യഹോവ എന്നെ ബേഥേലിലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എലീശാ അവനോടു: യഹോവയാണ, നിന്റെ ജീവനാണ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിടുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ ബേഥേലിലേക്കു പോയി.

English: And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Know you that the LORD will take away your master from your head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold all of you your peace.

Malayalam: ബേഥേലിലെ പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യന്മാർ എലീശയുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തുവന്നു അവനോടു: യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനെ നിന്റെ തലെക്കൽനിന്നു എടുത്തുകൊള്ളും എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവൻ: അതേ, ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray you; for the LORD has sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.

Malayalam: ഏലീയാവു അവനോടു: എലീശയേ, നീ ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ചുകൊൾക; യഹോവ എന്നെ യെരീഹോവിലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവൻ: യഹോവയാണ, നിന്റെ ജീവനാണ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിടുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ യെരീഹോവിലേക്കു പോയി.

English: And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Know you that the LORD will take away your master from your head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold all of you your peace.

Malayalam: യെരീഹോവിലെ പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യന്മാർ എലീശയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു: യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനെ നിന്റെ തലെക്കൽനിന്നു എടുത്തുകൊള്ളും എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അതിന്നു അവൻ: അതേ, ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray you, here; for the LORD has sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And they two went on.

Malayalam: ഏലീയാവു അവനോടു: നീ ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ചുകൊൾക; യഹോവ എന്നെ യോർദ്ദാങ്കലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അതിന്നു അവൻ യഹോവയാണ, നിന്റെ ജീവനാണ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിടുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവർ ഇരുവരുംകൂടെ പോയി.

English: And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view far off: and they two stood by Jordan.

Malayalam: പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ അമ്പതുപേർ ചെന്നു അവർക്കെതിരെ ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു; അവർ ഇരുവരും യോർദ്ദാന്നരികെ നിന്നു.

English: And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and stroke the waters, and they were divided here and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവു തന്റെ പുതപ്പു എടുത്തു മടക്കി വെള്ളത്തെ അടിച്ചു; അതു അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും പിരിഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ അവർ ഇരുവരും ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി അക്കരെക്കു കടന്നു.

English: And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you, before I be taken away from you. And Elisha said, I pray you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.

Malayalam: അവർ അക്കരെ കടന്നശേഷം ഏലീയാവു എലീശയോടു: ഞാൻ നിങ്കൽനിന്നു എടുത്തുകൊള്ളപ്പെടുംമുമ്പെ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്തു തരേണം? ചോദിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു എലീശാ: നിന്റെ ആത്മാവിൽ ഇരട്ടി പങ്കു എന്റെമേൽ വരുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, You have asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so unto you; but if not, it shall not be so.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: നീ പ്രയാസമുള്ള കാര്യമാകുന്നു ചോദിച്ചതു; ഞാൻ നിങ്കൽനിന്നു എടുത്തുകൊള്ളപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ നീ എന്നെ കാണുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ നിനക്കു അങ്ങനെ ഉണ്ടാകും; അല്ലെന്നുവരികിൽ ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Malayalam: അവർ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നടക്കുമ്പോൾ അഗ്നിരഥവും അഗ്ന്യശ്വങ്ങളും വന്നു അവരെ തമ്മിൽ വേർപിരിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ ഏലീയാവു ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്കു കയറി.

English: And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

Malayalam: എലീശാ അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു: എന്റെ പിതാവേ, എന്റെ പിതാവേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ തേരും തേരാളികളും എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു, പിന്നെ അവനെ കണ്ടില്ല; അപ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പിടിച്ചു രണ്ടു ഖണ്ഡമായി കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ ഏലീയാവിന്മേൽനിന്നു വീണ പുതപ്പു എടുത്തു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു യോർദ്ദാന്നരികെ നിന്നു.

English: And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and stroke the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted here and thither: and Elisha went over.

Malayalam: ഏലീയാവിന്മേൽനിന്നു വീണ പുതപ്പുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ വെള്ളത്തെ അടിച്ചു: ഏലീയാവിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എവിടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ വെള്ളത്തെ അടിച്ചപ്പോൾ അതു അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും പിരിഞ്ഞു. എലീശാ ഇക്കരെക്കു കടന്നു.

English: And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah does rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

Malayalam: യെരീഹോവിൽ അവന്നെതിരെ നിന്നിരുന്നു പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഏലീയാവിന്റെ ആത്മാവു എലീശയുടെ മേൽ അധിവസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു.

English: And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with your servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray you, and seek your master: lest possibly the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, All of you shall not send.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനോടു: ഇതാ, അടിയങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ അമ്പതു ബലശാലികൾ ഉണ്ടു; അവർ ചെന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനെ അന്വേഷിക്കട്ടെ; പക്ഷേ യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവു അവനെ എടുത്തു വല്ല മലയിലോ താഴ്വരയിലോ എങ്ങാനും ഇട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവൻ: നിങ്ങൾ അയക്കരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനെ അത്യന്തം നിർബ്ബന്ധിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവൻ: എന്നാൽ അയച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അമ്പതുപേരെ അയച്ചു; അവർ മൂന്നുദിവസം അന്വേഷിച്ചിട്ടും അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.

English: And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?

Malayalam: അവൻ യെരീഹോവിൽ പാർത്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവൻ അവരോടു: പോകരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray you, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees: but the water is nil, and the ground barren.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം ആ പട്ടണക്കാർ എലീശയോടു: ഈ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ ഇരിപ്പു മനോഹരമായതെന്നു യജമാനൻ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാൽ വെള്ളം ചീത്തയും ദേശം ഗർഭനാശകവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഒരു പുതിയ തളിക കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അതിൽ ഉപ്പു ഇടുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അതു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

English: And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus says the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

Malayalam: അവൻ നീരുറവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അതിൽ ഉപ്പു ഇട്ടു. ഞാൻ ഈ വെള്ളം പഥ്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി ഇതിനാൽ മരണവും ഗർഭനാശവും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spoke.

Malayalam: എലീശാ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ആ വെള്ളം ഇന്നുവരെ പഥ്യമായിത്തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, you bald head; go up, you bald head.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അവിടെനിന്നു ബേഥേലിലേക്കു പോയി; അവൻ വഴിയിൽ നടക്കുമ്പോൾ ബാലന്മാർ പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു വന്നു അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അവനോടു: മൊട്ടത്തലയാ, കയറി വാ; മൊട്ടത്തലയാ, കയറി വാ; എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

Malayalam: അവൻ പിന്നോക്കം തിരിഞ്ഞു അവനെ നോക്കി യഹോവനാമത്തിൽ അവരെ ശപിച്ചു; അപ്പോൾ കാട്ടിൽനിന്നു രണ്ടു പെൺകരടി ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു അവരിൽ നാല്പത്തിരണ്ടു ബാലന്മാരെ കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവിടംവിട്ടു കർമ്മേൽപർവ്വതത്തിലേക്കു പോയി; അവിടെനിന്നു ശമർയ്യയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.
