English: And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up your loins, and take this box of oil in yours hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

Malayalam: എലീശാപ്രവാചകൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകശിഷ്യനെ വിളിച്ചു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നീ അരകെട്ടി ഈ തൈലപാത്രം എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്കു പോക.

English: And when you come thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

Malayalam: അവിടെ എത്തിയശേഷം നിംശിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്തിന്റെ മകൻ യേഹൂ എവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നോക്കി അകത്തു ചെന്നു അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു ഉൾമുറിയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോക.

English: Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus says the LORD, I have anointed you king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ തൈലപാത്രം എടുത്തു അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ഒഴിച്ചു: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായി അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു വാതിൽ തുറന്നു താമസിക്കാതെ ഓടിപ്പോരിക.

English: So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകനായ ആ യൌവനക്കാരൻ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്കു പോയി.

English: And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to you, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To you, O captain.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവിടെ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ പടനായകന്മാർ മരുമിച്ചു ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു: നായകാ, എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു ഒരു കാര്യം അറിയിപ്പാനുണ്ടു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരിലുംവെച്ചു ആരോടു എന്നു യേഹൂ ചോദിച്ചു. നിന്നോടു തന്നേ, നായകാ എന്നു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

Malayalam: അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു മുറിക്കകത്തു കടന്നു; അപ്പോൾ അവൻ തൈലം അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ഒഴിച്ചു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായിട്ടു അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And you shall strike the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ രക്തത്തിന്നും യഹോവയുടെ സകലദാസന്മാരുടെയും രക്തത്തിന്നും ഈസേബെലിനോടു ഞാൻ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ യജമാനനായ ആഹാബിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെ നീ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയേണം.

English: For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisses against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

Malayalam: ആഹാബ്ഗൃഹം അശേഷം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകേണം; യിസ്രായേലിൽ ആഹാബിന്നുള്ള സ്വതന്ത്രനും അസ്വതന്ത്രനുമായ പുരുഷപ്രജയെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

English: And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ആഹാബ്ഗൃഹത്തെ നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും അഹീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബയെശയുടെ ഗൃഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആക്കും.

English: And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

Malayalam: ഈസേബെലിനെ യിസ്രെയേൽ പ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ചു നായ്ക്കൾ തിന്നുകളയും; അവളെ അടക്കം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല. പിന്നെ അവൻ വാതിൽ തുറന്നു ഓടിപ്പോയി.

English: Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to you? And he said unto them, All of you know the man, and his communication.

Malayalam: യേഹൂതന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു വന്നപ്പോൾ ഒരുത്തൻ അവനോടു: എന്താകുന്നു വിശേഷം? ആ ഭ്രാന്തൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നതെന്തിന്നു? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ആ പുരുഷനെയും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞകാര്യത്തെയും അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spoke he to me, saying, Thus says the LORD, I have anointed you king over Israel.

Malayalam: എന്നാറെ അവർ: അതു നേരല്ല; നീ ഞങ്ങളോടു പറയേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു അവൻ: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായിട്ടു അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നാദിയായി ഇന്നിന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ അവൻ എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ അവർ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വസ്ത്രം എടുത്തു കോവണിപ്പടികളിന്മേൽ അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ വിരിച്ചു. കാഹളം ഊതി: യേഹൂ രാജാവായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ നിംശിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്തിന്റെ മകൻ യേഹൂ യോരാമിന്നു വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി. യോരാമും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും അരാംരാജാവായ ഹസായേൽനിമിത്തം ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിനെ കാവൽ ആക്കി സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

Malayalam: അരാംരാജാവായ ഹസായേലിനോടുള്ള യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അരാമ്യർ തനിക്കു ഏല്പിച്ച മുറിവുകൾക്കു യിസ്രെയേലിൽവെച്ചു ചികിത്സചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു യോരാംരാജാവു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ യേഹൂ: നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമ്മതമെങ്കിൽ യിസ്രെയേലിൽ ചെന്നു ഇതു അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആരും പട്ടണം വിട്ടുപോകാതെ സൂക്ഷിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യേഹൂ രഥം കയറി യിസ്രെയേലിലേക്കു പോയി; യോരാം അവിടെ കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. യോരാമിനെ കാണ്മാൻ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അഹസ്യാവും അവിടെ വന്നിരുന്നു.

English: And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

Malayalam: യിസ്രെയേലിലെ ഗോപുരമുകളിൽ ഒരു കാവൽക്കാരൻ നിന്നിരുന്നു; അവൻ യേവഹൂവിന്റെ കൂട്ടം വരുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഞാൻ ഒരു കൂട്ടത്തെ കാണുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ യോരാം: നീ ഒരു കുതിരച്ചേവകനെ വിളിച്ചു അവരുടെ നേരെ അയക്കേണം; അവൻ ചെന്നു: സമാധാനമോ എന്നു ചോദിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus says the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What have you to do with peace? turn you behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he comes not again.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ ഒരുത്തൻ കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു ചെന്നു: സമാധാനമോ എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. സമാധാനം കൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു എന്തു കാര്യം? തിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ പുറകിൽ വരിക എന്നു യേഹൂ പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ കാവൽക്കാരൻ: ദൂതൻ അവരുടെ അടുക്കലോളം ചെന്നിട്ടും മടങ്ങിവരുന്നില്ല എന്നു അറിയിച്ചു.

English: Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus says the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What have you to do with peace? turn you behind me.

Malayalam: അവൻ മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു അയച്ചു; അവനും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: സമാധാനമോ എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. സമാധാനംകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു എന്തു കാര്യം? തിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ പുറകിൽ വരിക എന്നു യേഹൂ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and comes not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ കാവൽക്കാരൻ: അവനും അവരുടെ അടുക്കലോളം ചെന്നിട്ടു മടങ്ങിവരുന്നില്ല; ആ ഓടിക്കുന്നതു നിംശിയുടെ മകനായ യേഹൂ ഓടിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഭ്രന്തനപ്പോലെയല്ലോ അവൻ ഓടിച്ചുവരുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ യോരാം: രഥം പൂട്ടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; രഥം പൂട്ടിയശേഷം യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവായ യോരാമും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അഹസ്യാവും താന്താന്റെ രഥത്തിൽ കയറി യേഹൂവിന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു, യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തിങ്കൽവെച്ചു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു.

English: And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of your mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

Malayalam: യേഹൂവിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ യോരാം: യേഹൂവേ, സമാധാനമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു യേഹൂ: നിന്റെ അമ്മയായ ഈസേബെലിന്റെ പരസംഗവും ക്ഷുദ്രവും ഇത്ര അധികമായിരിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം എന്തു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യോരാം രഥം തിരിച്ചു ഓടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു അഹസ്യാവോടു: അഹസ്യാവേ, ഇതു ദ്രോഹം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and stroke Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

Malayalam: യേഹൂ വില്ലുകുലെച്ചു യോരാമിനെ ഭുജങ്ങളുടെ നടുവെ എയ്തു; അമ്പു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം തുളഞ്ഞു മറുപുറം കടന്നു; അവൻ രഥത്തിൽ ചുരുണ്ടു വീണു.

English: Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and you rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

Malayalam: യേഹൂ തന്റെ പടനായകനായ ബിദ്കാരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: അവനെ എടുത്തു യിസ്രെയേല്യനായ നാബോത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളക; ഞാനും നീയും ഒരുമിച്ചു അവന്റെ അപ്പനായ ആഹാബിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ കുതിരയേറി പോകുമ്പോൾ:

English: Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, says the LORD; and I will requite you in this portion, says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the portion of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

Malayalam: നാബോത്തിന്റെ രക്തവും അവന്റെ മക്കളുടെ രക്തവും ഇന്നലെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു സത്യം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഈ നിലത്തുവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പകരം വീട്ടുമെന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ ഈ അരുപ്പാടു അവന്നു വിരോധമായി ഉണ്ടായെന്നു ഓർത്തുകൊൾക; അവനെ എടുത്തു യഹോവയുടെ വചന പ്രകാരം തന്നേ ഈ നിലത്തിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളക.

English: But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Strike him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ അഹസ്യാവു ഇതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉദ്യാനഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വഴിയായി ഓടിപ്പോയി. യേഹൂ അവനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു: അവനെയും രഥത്തിൽ വെട്ടിക്കളവിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അവർ യിബ്ളെയാമിന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള ഗൂർകയറ്റത്തിങ്കൽവെച്ചു അവനെ വെട്ടി; അവൻ മെഗിദ്ദോവിലേക്കു ഓടിച്ചെന്നു അവിടെവെച്ചു മരിച്ചുപോയി.

English: And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his tomb with his fathers in the city of David.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ അവനെ രഥത്തിൽവെച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു കെണ്ടുപോയി ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ കല്ലറയിൽ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു.

English: And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

Malayalam: ആഹാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോരാമിന്റെ പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ ആയിരുന്നു അഹസ്യാവു യെഹൂദയിൽ രാജാവായതു.

English: And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

Malayalam: യേഹൂ യിസ്രായേലിൽ വന്നതു ഈസേബെൽ കേട്ടിട്ടു തന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ മഷിയെഴുതി തലചീകി മിനുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു കിളിവാതിൽക്കൽകൂടി നോക്കി.

English: And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

Malayalam: യേഹൂ പടിവാതിൽ കടന്നപ്പോൾ അവൾ: യജമാനനെ കൊന്നവനായ സിമ്രിക്കു സമാധാനമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖം കിളിവാതിൽക്കലേക്കു ഉയർത്തി: ആരുള്ളു എന്റെ പക്ഷത്തു? ആരുള്ളു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാറെ രണ്ടുമൂന്നു ഷണ്ഡന്മാർ പുറത്തേക്കു നോക്കി.

English: And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

Malayalam: അവളെ താഴെ തള്ളിയിടുവിൻ എന്നു അവൻ കല്പിച്ചു. ഉടനെ അവർ അവളെ താഴെ തള്ളിയിട്ടു; അവളുടെ രക്തം ചുവരിന്മേലും കുതിരകളിന്മേലും തെറിച്ചു; അവൻ അവളെ ചവിട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.

Malayalam: അവൻ ചെന്നു ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനം ചെയ്തശേഷം: ആ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളെ ചെന്നു നോക്കി അടക്കം ചെയ്‍വിൻ; അവൾ രാജകുമാരിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

Malayalam: അവർ അവളെ അടക്കം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ചെന്നാറെ അവളുടെ തലമണ്ടയും കാലുകളും കൈപ്പത്തികളും അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും കണ്ടില്ല.

English: Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

Malayalam: അവർ മടങ്ങിവന്നു അവനോടു അതു അറിയിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: യിസ്രെയേൽ പ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ചു നായ്ക്കൾ ഈസേബെലിന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകളയും;

English: And the carcass of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

Malayalam: അതു ഈസേബെൽ എന്നു പറവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം ഈസേബെലിന്റെ പിണം യിസ്രെയേൽപ്രദേശത്തു വയലിലെ ചാണകം പോലെ ആകും എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവ തിശ്ബ്യനായ എലീയാവു എന്ന തന്റെ ദാസൻ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം തന്നേ ഇതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
