2 Samuel 4

English: And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.

Malayalam: അബ്നേർ ഹെബ്രോനിൽവെച്ചു മരിച്ചു പോയതു ശൌലിന്റെ മകൻ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ധൈര്യം ക്ഷയിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്യരൊക്കെയും ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോയി.

English: And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ശൌലിന്റെ മകന്നു പടനായകന്മാരായ രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഒരുത്തന്നു ബാനാ എന്നും മറ്റവന്നു രേഖാബ് എന്നും പേർ. അവൻ ബെന്യാമീന്യരിൽ ബെരോത്യനായ രിമ്മോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു; ബെരോത്ത് ബെന്യാമീനിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടതായി വിചാരിച്ചുവരുന്നു.

English: And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and were sojourners there until this day.)

Malayalam: ബെരോത്യർ ഗിത്ഥയീമിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോയി, ഇന്നുവരെയും അവിടെ പരദേശികളായി പാർക്കുന്നു.

English: And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

Malayalam: ശൌലിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാഥാന്നു രണ്ടു കാലും മുടന്തായിട്ടു ഒരു മകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; യിസ്രെയേലിൽനിന്നു ശൌലിന്റെയും യോനാഥാന്റെയും വർത്തമാനം എത്തിയ സമയം അവന്നു അഞ്ചു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ധാത്രി അവനെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു ഓടി; അവൾ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ഓടുമ്പോൾ അവൻ വീണു മുടന്തനായിപ്പോയി. അവന്നു മെഫീബോശെത്ത് എന്നു പേർ.

English: And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.

Malayalam: ബെരോത്യർ രിമ്മോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ രേഖാബും ബാനയും വെയിൽ മൂത്തപ്പോഴേക്കു ഈശ്-ബോശെത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നെത്തി; അവൻ ഉച്ചസമയത്തു ആശ്വസിച്ചു കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

English: And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they stroke him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.

Malayalam: അവർ കോതമ്പു എടുപ്പാൻ വരുന്ന ഭാവത്തിൽ വീട്ടിന്റെ നടുവിൽ കടന്നു അവനെ വയറ്റത്തു കുത്തി; രേഖാബും സഹോദരനായ ബാനയും ഓടിപ്പോയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they stroke him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and got them away through the plain all night.

Malayalam: അവർ അകത്തു കടന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ ശയനഗൃഹത്തിൽ കട്ടിലിന്മേൽ കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു: ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ അവനെ കുത്തിക്കൊന്നു തല വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു തലയും എടുത്തു രാത്രി മുഴുവനും അരാബയിൽകൂടി നടന്നു

English: And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul yours enemy, which sought your life; and the LORD has avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

Malayalam: ഹെബ്രോനിൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഈശ്-ബോശെത്തിന്റെ തല കൊണ്ടുവന്നു രാജാവിനോടു: നിനക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കിയ നിന്റെ ശത്രുവായ ശൌലിന്റെ മകൻ ഈശ്-ബോശെത്തിന്റെ തല ഇതാ; ഇന്നു യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്നു വേണ്ടി ശൌലിനോടും അവന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും യഹോവ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

Malayalam: എന്നാറെ ദാവീദ് ബെരോത്യനായ രിമ്മോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ രേഖാബിനോടും അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ബാനയോടും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ സകല ആപത്തിൽനിന്നും വീണ്ടെടുത്ത യഹോവയാണ,

English: When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:

Malayalam: ശൌൽ മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ എന്നെ അറിയിച്ചു താൻ ശുഭവർത്തമാനം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു സിക്ളാഗിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നു. ഇതായിരുന്നു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ വർത്തമാനത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി അവന്നു കൊടുത്ത പ്രതിഫലം.

English: How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ഒരു നീതിമാനെ അവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ മെത്തയിൽവെച്ചു കുലചെയ്താൽ എത്ര അധികം? ഞാൻ അവന്റെ രക്തം നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയാതിരിക്കുമോ?

English: And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the tomb of Abner in Hebron.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാർക്കു കല്പനകൊടുത്തു; അവർ അവരെ കൊന്നു അവരുടെ കൈകാലുകൾ വെട്ടി അവരെ ഹെബ്രോനിലെ കുളത്തിന്നരികെ തൂക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. ഈശ്-ബോശെത്തിന്റെ തല അവർ എടുത്തു ഹെബ്രോനിൽ അബ്നേരിന്റെ ശവക്കുഴിയിൽ അടക്കംചെയ്തു.
