Acts 17

English: Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:

Malayalam: അവർ അംഫിപൊലിസിലും അപ്പൊലോന്യയിലും കൂടി കടന്നു തെസ്സലൊനീക്കയിൽ എത്തി; അവിടെ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരു പള്ളി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Malayalam: പൌലൊസ് പതിവു പോലെ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു മൂന്നു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ ആധാരമാക്കി അവരോടു വാദിച്ചു.

English: Opening and alleging, that Christ must essentially have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

Malayalam: ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കയും മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതു എന്നും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്ന ഈ യേശുതന്നേ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു തെളിയിച്ചു വിവരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

Malayalam: അവരിൽ ചിലരും ഭക്തിയുള്ള യവനന്മാരിൽ ഒരു വലിയ കൂട്ടവും മാന്യസ്ത്രീകളിൽ അനേകരും വിശ്വസിച്ചു പൌലൊസിനോടും ശീലാസിനോടും ചേർന്നു.

English: But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദന്മാരോ അസൂയപൂണ്ടു, മിനക്കെട്ടുനടക്കുന്ന ചില ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ ചേർത്തു പുരുഷാരത്തെ ഇളക്കി പട്ടണത്തിൽ കലഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കി യാസോന്റെ വീടു വളഞ്ഞു അവരെ ജനസമൂഹത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.

English: And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come here also;

Malayalam: അവരെ കാണാഞ്ഞിട്ടു യാസോനെയും ചില സഹോദരന്മാരെയും നഗരാധിപന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു ഇഴെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു: ഭൂലോകത്തെ കലഹിപ്പിച്ചവർ ഇവിടെയും എത്തി;

English: Whom Jason has received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.

Malayalam: യാസോൻ അവരെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഒക്കെയും യേശു എന്ന മറ്റൊരുവൻ രാജാവു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു കൈസരുടെ നിയമങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രതികൂലമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

English: And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things.

Malayalam: ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു പുരുഷാരവും നഗരാധിപന്മാരും ഭ്രമിച്ചു.

English: And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.

Malayalam: യാസോൻ മുതലായവരോടു ജാമ്യം വാങ്ങി അവരെ വിട്ടയച്ചു.

English: And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉടനെ, രാത്രിയിൽ തന്നേ, പൌലൊസിനെയും ശീലാസിനെയും ബെരോവെക്കു പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു. അവിടെ എത്തിയാറെ അവർ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ പോയി.

English: These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Malayalam: അവർ തെസ്സലോനീക്കയിലുള്ളവരെക്കാൾ ഉത്തമന്മാരായിരുന്നു. അവർ വചനം പൂർണ്ണജാഗ്രതയോടെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടതല്ലാതെ അതു അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയോ എന്നു ദിനംപ്രതി തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ പരിശോധിച്ചു പോന്നു.

English: Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

Malayalam: അവരിൽ പലരും മാന്യരായ യവനസ്ത്രീകളിലും പുരുഷന്മാരിലും അനേകരും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

English: But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.

Malayalam: പൌലൊസ് ബെരോവയിലും ദൈവവചനം അറിയച്ചതു തെസ്സലൊനീക്കയിലെ യെഹൂദന്മാർ അറിഞ്ഞു അവിടെയും വന്നു പുരുഷാരത്തെ ഇളക്കി ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ സഹോദരന്മാർ പൌലൊസിനെ സമുദ്രതീരത്തേക്കു പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; ശീലാസും തിമൊഥെയോസും അവിടെത്തന്നേ പാർത്തു.

English: And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens: and receiving a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus in order to come to him with all speed, they departed.

Malayalam: പൌലൊസിനോടുകൂടെ വഴിത്തുണ പോയവർ അവനെ അഥേനയോളം കൊണ്ടുപോയി; ശീലാസും തിമൊഥെയോസും കഴിയുന്ന വേഗത്തിൽ തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരേണം എന്നുള്ള കല്പന വാങ്ങി മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.

English: Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

Malayalam: അഥേനയിൽ പൌലൊസ് അവർക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ നഗരത്തിൽ ബിംബങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു മനസ്സിന്നു ചൂടുപിടിച്ചു.

English: Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

Malayalam: അവൻ പള്ളിയിൽവെച്ചു യെഹൂദന്മാരോടും ദൈവഭക്തന്മാരോടും ചന്ത സ്ഥലത്തു ദിവസേന കണ്ടവരോടും സംഭാഷിച്ചുപോന്നു.

English: Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seems to be a proclaimer of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.

Malayalam: എപ്പിക്കൂര്യരും സ്തോയിക്കരും ആയ തത്വജ്ഞാനികളിൽ ചിലർ അവനോടു വാദിച്ചു: ഈ വിടുവായൻ എന്തു പറവാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു ചിലരും അവൻ യേശുവിനെയും പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെയും പ്രസംഗിക്ക കൊണ്ടു: ഇവൻ അന്യദേവതകളെ ഘോഷിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നു മറ്റു ചിലരും പറഞ്ഞു

English: And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof you speak, is?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു അരയോപഗക്കുന്നിന്മേൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു: നീ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്ന ഈ നവീനോപദേശം ഇന്നതു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയാമോ?

English: For you bring certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.

Malayalam: നീ ചില അപൂർവ്വങ്ങളെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചെവിയിൽ കടത്തുന്നുവല്ലോ; അതു എന്തു എന്നു അറിവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അഥേനർ ഒക്കെയും അവിടെ വന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശികളും വല്ല പുതുമയും പറകയോ കേൾക്കയോ ചെയ്‍വാനല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നിന്നും അവസരമുള്ളവരല്ല.

English: Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, All of you men of Athens, I perceive that in all things all of you are too superstitious.

Malayalam: പൌലൊസ് അരയോപഗമദ്ധ്യേ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞതു. അഥേനപുരുഷന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാറ്റിലും അതിഭക്തന്മാർ എന്നു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു.

English: For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore all of you ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ചുറ്റിനടന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ പൂജാസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ “അജ്ഞാത ദേവന്നു” എന്നു എഴുത്തുള്ള ഒരു വേദിക്കല്ലു കണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാതെ പൂജിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

English: God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands;

Malayalam: ലോകവും അതിലുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ദൈവം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും നാഥനാകകൊണ്ടു

English: Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things;

Malayalam: കൈപ്പണിയായ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ വാസം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. താൻ എല്ലാവർക്കും ജീവനും ശ്വാസവും സകലവും കൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ ആകയാൽ വല്ലതിന്നും മുട്ടുള്ളവൻ എന്നപോലെ മാനുഷ്യകൈകളാൽ ശുശ്രൂഷ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നില്ല.

English: And has made of one blood all nations of men in order to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Malayalam: ഭൂതലത്തിൽ എങ്ങു കുടിയിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ഒരുത്തനിൽനിന്നു മനുഷ്യജാതിയെ ഒക്കെയും ഉളവാക്കി, അവരുടെ നിവാസത്തിന്നു അതിരുകളും കാലങ്ങളും നിശചയിച്ചു.

English: That they should seek the Lord, if lest by any means they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Malayalam: അവർ ദൈവത്തെ തപ്പിനോക്കി കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു വെച്ചു അവനെ അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ. അവൻ നമ്മിൽ ആർക്കും അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നവനല്ലതാനും.

English: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Malayalam: അവനിലല്ലോ നാം ജീവിക്കയും ചരിക്കയും ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കവിവരന്മാരിലും ചിലർ “നാം അവന്റെ സന്താനമല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by are and man's device.

Malayalam: നാം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്താനം എന്നു വരികയാൽ ദൈവം മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശില്പവിദ്യയും സങ്കല്പവുംകൊണ്ടു കൊത്തിത്തീർക്കുന്ന പൊൻ, വെള്ളി, കല്ലു എന്നിവയോടു സദൃശം എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കേണ്ടതല്ല.

English: And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent:

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അറിയായ്മയുടെ കാലങ്ങളെ ദൈവം ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കാതെ ഇപ്പോൾ എല്ലായിടത്തും എല്ലാവരും മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടേണമെന്നു മനുഷ്യരോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Because he has appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance unto all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.

Malayalam: താൻ നിയമിച്ച പുരുഷൻ മുഖാന്തരം ലോകത്തെ നീതിയിൽ ന്യായം വിധിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു അവനെ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചതിനാൽ എല്ലാവർക്കും അതിന്റെ ഉറപ്പു നല്കിയുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear you again of this matter.

Malayalam: മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ടു ചിലർ പരിഹസിച്ചു; മറ്റുചിലർ: ഞങ്ങൾ ഇതിനെപ്പറ്റി പിന്നെയും നിന്റെ പ്രസംഗം കേൾക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So Paul departed from among them.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ പൌലൊസ് അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നു പോയി

English: Nevertheless certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Malayalam: ചില പുരുഷന്മാർ അവനോടു ചേർന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അവരിൽ അരയോപഗസ്ഥാനിയായ ദിയൊനുസ്യോസും ദമരീസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു സ്ത്രീയും മറ്റു ചിലരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
