Acts 19

English: And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

Malayalam: അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് കൊരിന്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പൌലോസ് ഉൾപ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ കൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു എഫെസോസിൽ എത്തി ചില ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ കണ്ടു:

English: He said unto them, Have all of you received the Holy Spirit since all of you believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Spirit.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ പ്രാപിച്ചുവോ എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ഉണ്ടെന്നുപോലും ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto them, Unto what then were all of you baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഏതായിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നാനം എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു പൌലൊസ്: യോഹന്നാൻ മനസാന്തരസ്നാനമത്രേ കഴിപ്പിച്ചു തന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നവനായ യേശുവിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കേണം എന്നു ജനത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Malayalam: ഇതു കേട്ടാറെ അവർ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു.

English: And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied.

Malayalam: പൌലൊസ് അവരുടെ മേൽ കൈവെച്ചപ്പോൾ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു അവരുടെമേൽ വന്നു അവർ അന്യഭാഷകളിൽ സംസാരിക്കയും പ്രവചിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

English: And all the men were about twelve.

Malayalam: ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ എല്ലാം കൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടോളം ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And he went into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പള്ളിയിൽ ചെന്നു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു സംവാദിച്ചും സമ്മതിപ്പിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു മാസത്തോളം പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.

English: But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spoke evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ചിലർ കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു അനുസരിക്കാതെ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഈ മാർഗ്ഗത്തെ ദുഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ വേർതിരിച്ചു, തുറന്നൊസിന്റെ പാഠശാലയിൽ ദിനംപ്രതി സംവാദിച്ചുപോന്നു.

English: And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Malayalam: അതു രണ്ടു സംവത്സരത്തോളം നടക്കയാൽ ആസ്യയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരും യവനന്മാരും എല്ലാം കർത്താവിന്റെ വചനം കേൾപ്പാൻ ഇടയായി.

English: And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

Malayalam: ദൈവം പൌലൊസ് മുഖാന്തരം അസാധാരണയായ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ചെയ്യിക്കയാൽ

English: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ മെയ്മേൽനിന്നു റൂമാലും ഉത്തരീയവും രോഗികളുടെമേൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിടുകയും വ്യാധികൾ അവരെ വിട്ടുമാറുകയും ദുരാത്മാക്കൾ പുപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

English: Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദേശാന്തരികളായി നടക്കുന്ന മന്ത്രവാദികളായ ചില യെഹൂദന്മാർ: പൌലൊസ് പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്ന യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ആണയിടുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യേശുവിന്റെ നാമം ചൊല്ലുവാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞു.

English: And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തവർ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ സ്കേവാ എന്ന ഒരു യെഹൂദന്റെ ഏഴു പുത്രന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are all of you?

Malayalam: ദുരാത്മാവു അവരോടു: യേശുവിനെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; പൌലൊസിനെയും പരിചയമുണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ദുരാത്മാവുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ അവരുടെമേൽ ചാടി അവരെ ഇരുവരെയും കീഴടക്കി ജയിക്കയാൽ അവർ നഗ്നരും മുറിവേറ്റവരുമായി ആ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോയി.

English: And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Malayalam: ഇതു എഫേസൊസിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന സകല യെഹൂദന്മാരും യവനന്മാരും അറിഞ്ഞു; അവർക്കു ഒക്കെയും ഭയം തട്ടി, കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമം മഹിമപ്പെട്ടു

English: And many that believed came, and confessed, and showed their deeds.

Malayalam: വിശ്വസിച്ചവരിൽ അനേകരും വന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവർത്തികളെ ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു അറിയിച്ചു.

English: Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Malayalam: ക്ഷുദ്രപ്രയോഗം ചെയ്തിരുന്ന പലരും തങ്ങളുടെ പുസ്തകങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു എല്ലാവരും കാൺകെ ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു; അവയുടെ വില കണക്കുകൂട്ടിയാറെ അമ്പതിനായിരം വെള്ളിക്കാശു എന്നു കണ്ടു.

English: So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ കർത്താവിന്റെ വചനം ശക്തിയോടെ പരന്നു പ്രബലപ്പെട്ടു.

English: After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

Malayalam: ഇതു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പൌലൊസ് മക്കെദോന്യയിലും അഖായയിലും കൂടി കടന്നു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കും പോകേണം എന്നു മനസ്സിൽ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു: ഞാൻ അവിടെ ചെന്നശേഷം റോമയും കാണേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

Malayalam: തനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നവരിൽ തിമൊഥെയൊസ്, എരസ്തൊസ് എന്ന രണ്ടുപേരെ മക്കെദോന്യയിലേക്കു അയച്ചിട്ടു താൻ കുറെക്കാലം ആസ്യയിൽ താമസിച്ചു.

English: And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.

Malayalam: ആ കാലത്തു ഈ മാർഗ്ഗത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി വലിയ കലഹം ഉണ്ടായി.

English: For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;

Malayalam: വെള്ളികൊണ്ടു അർത്തെമിസ് ദേവിയുടെ ക്ഷേത്രരൂപങ്ങളെ തീർക്കുന്ന ദെമേത്രിയൊസ് എന്ന തട്ടാൻ തൊഴിൽക്കാർക്കു വളരെ ലാഭം വരുത്തി വന്നു.

English: Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, all of you know that by this craft we have our wealth.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരെയും ആ വകയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ട വേലക്കാരെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി: പുരുഷന്മാരേ, നമ്മുടെ സമ്പാദ്യം ഈ തൊഴിൽകൊണ്ടു ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു ബോദ്ധ്യമല്ലോ.

English: Moreover all of you see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഈ പൌലൊസ് എന്നവൻ കയ്യാൽ തീർത്തതു ദേവന്മാർ അല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു എഫെസൊസിൽ മാത്രമല്ല, മിക്കവാറും ആസ്യയിൽ ഒക്കെയും വളരെ ജനങ്ങളെ സമ്മതിപ്പിച്ചു മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടും കേട്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nothing; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.

Malayalam: അതിനാൽ നമ്മുടെ ഈ കാര്യം ആക്ഷേപത്തിൽ ആകുവാൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുമല്ലാതെ അർത്തെമിസ് മഹാദേവിയുടെ ക്ഷേത്രം ഏതുമില്ല എന്നു വരികയും ആസ്യമുഴുവനും ഭൂതലവും ഭജിച്ചുപോരുന്നവളുടെ മാഹാത്മ്യം ഒടുങ്ങിപ്പോകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

Malayalam: അവർ ഇതു കേട്ടു ക്രോധം നിറഞ്ഞവരായി: എഫെസ്യരുടെ അർത്തെമിസ് മഹാദേവി എന്നു ആർത്തു.

English: And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

Malayalam: പട്ടണം മുഴുവനും കലഹം കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു, അവർ പൌലൊസിന്റെ കൂട്ടുയാത്രക്കാരായ ഗായൊസ് അരിസ്തർഹോസ് എന്ന മക്കെദോന്യരെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു രംഗസ്ഥലത്തേക്കു ഒരുമനപ്പെട്ടു പാഞ്ഞു ചെന്നു.

English: And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.

Malayalam: പൌലൊസ് ജനസമൂഹത്തിൽ ചെല്ലുവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചാറെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനെ വിട്ടില്ല.

English: And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.

Malayalam: ആസ്യധിപന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ അവന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർ ആകയാൽ: രംഗസ്ഥലത്തു ചെന്നു പോകരുതു എന്നു അവരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

Malayalam: ജനസംഘം കലക്കത്തിലായി മിക്കപേരും തങ്ങൾ വന്നുകൂടിയ സംഗതി എന്തെന്നു അറിയായ്കയാൽ ചിലർ ഇങ്ങനെയും ചിലർ അങ്ങനെയും ആർത്തു.

English: And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദന്മാർ മുമ്പോട്ടു ഉന്തിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്ന അലക്സന്തരിനെ പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ ചിലർ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു; അലക്സാന്തർ ആംഗ്യം കാട്ടി ജനസമൂഹത്തോടു പ്രതിവാദിപ്പാൻ ഭാവിച്ചു.

English: But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവൻ യെഹൂദൻ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ: എഫെസ്യരുടെ അർത്തെമിസ് മഹാദേവി എന്നു എല്ലാവരും കൂടി രണ്ടു മണിനേരത്തോളം ഏകശബ്ദത്തോടെ ആർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And when the public clerk had appeased the people, he said, All of you men of Ephesus, what man is there that knows not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ പട്ടണമേനവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തെ അമർത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു: എഫെസ്യപുരുഷന്മാരേ, എഫെസോസ് പട്ടണം അർത്തെമിസ് മഹാദേവിക്കും ദ്യോവിൽനിന്നു വീണ ബിംബത്തിന്നും ക്ഷേത്രപലക എന്നു അറിയാത്ത മനുഷ്യൻ ആർ?

English: Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, all of you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

Malayalam: ഇതു എതിർമൊഴിയില്ലാത്തതാകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ തിടുക്കമായി ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ അടങ്ങിപ്പാർക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

English: For all of you have brought here these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.

Malayalam: ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരെ നിങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടികൊണ്ടുവന്നുവല്ലോ; അവർ ക്ഷേത്രം കവർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നവരല്ല, നമ്മുടെ ദേവിയെ ദുഷിക്കുന്നവരുമല്ല.

English: Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them sue one another.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദെമേത്രിയൊസിന്നും കൂടെയുള്ള തൊഴിൽക്കാർക്കും വല്ലവന്റെയും നേരെ ഒരു സംഗതി ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ വിസ്താരദിവസങ്ങൾ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു, ദേശാധിപതികളും ഉണ്ടു; തമ്മിൽ വ്യവഹരിക്കട്ടെ.

English: But if all of you enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

Malayalam: വേറെ കാര്യം ചൊല്ലി ആകുന്നു വാദം എങ്കിൽ ധർമ്മസഭയില്‍ തീർക്കാമല്ലോ.

English: For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.

Malayalam: ഇന്നത്തെ കലഹത്തിന്നു കാരണമില്ലായ്കയാൽ അതു നിമിത്തം നമ്മുടെ പേരിൽ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുവാൻ ഇടയുണ്ടു സ്പഷ്ടം; ഈ ആൾക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ നമുക്കു വക ഒന്നുമില്ലല്ലോ.

English: And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു അവൻ സഭയയെ പിരിച്ചുവിട്ടു.
