Deuteronomy 21

English: If one be found slain in the land which the LORD your God gives you to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who has slain him:

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു വയലിൽ ഒരുത്തനെ കൊന്നിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു കാണുകയും അവനെ കൊന്നവൻ ആരെന്നു അറിയാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ നിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും

English: Then your elders and your judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain:

Malayalam: ന്യായധിപതിമാരും പുറത്തു ചെന്നു കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവന്റെ ചുറ്റുമിരിക്കുന്ന അതതു പട്ടണംവരെയുള്ള ദൂരം അളക്കേണം.

English: And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which has not been wrought with, and which has not drawn in the yoke;

Malayalam: കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവന്നു അധികം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ, വേല ചെയ്യിക്കാത്തതും നുകം വെക്കാത്തതുമായ ഒരു പശുക്കിടാവിനെ കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

English: And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley:

Malayalam: ആ പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ ഉഴവും വിതയും ഇല്ലാത്തതും നിരൊഴുക്കുള്ളതുമായ ഒരു താഴ്വരയിൽ പശുക്കിടാവിനെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു അവിടെവെച്ചു പശുക്കിടാവിന്റെ കഴുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളയേണം.

English: And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD your God has chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ലേവ്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അടുത്തു ചെല്ലേണം; അവരെയല്ലോ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്‍വാനും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു; അവരുടെ വാക്കിൻ പ്രകാരം സകലവ്യവഹാരവും അടികലശലും തീർക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

English: And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley:

Malayalam: കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടവന്നു അടുത്ത പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും താഴ്വരയിൽവെച്ചു കഴുത്തൊടിച്ച പശുക്കിടാവിന്മേൽ തങ്ങളുടെ കൈ കഴുകി:

English: And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈകൾ ആ രക്തം ചിന്നീട്ടില്ല, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണു അതു കണ്ടിട്ടുമില്ല.

English: Be merciful, O LORD, unto your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto your people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.

Malayalam: യഹോവ, നീ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം ഇരിപ്പാൻ ഇടവരുത്തരുതേ എന്നു പറയേണം; എന്നാൽ ആ രക്തപാതകം അവരോടു മോചിക്കപ്പെടും.

English: So shall you put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when you shall do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവെക്കു ഹിതമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

English: When you go forth to war against yours enemies, and the LORD your God has delivered them into yours hands, and you have taken them captive,

Malayalam: നീ ശത്രുക്കളോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‍വാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടിട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കയും നീ അവരെ ബദ്ധന്മാരായി പിടിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

English: And see among the captives a beautiful woman, and have a desire unto her, that you would have her to your wife;

Malayalam: ആ ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ സുന്ദരിയായൊരു സ്ത്രീയെ കണ്ടു ഭാര്യയായി എടുപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവളോടു പ്രേമം ജനിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ

English: Then you shall bring her home to yours house, and she shall shave her head, and trim her nails;

Malayalam: നീ അവളെ വീട്ടിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം; അവൾ തലമുടി ചിരെക്കയും നഖം മുറിക്കയും ബദ്ധവസ്ത്രം മാറി

English: And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in yours house, and mourn for her father and her mother a full month: and after that you shall go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be your wife.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ പാർത്തു ഒരു മാസം തന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കയും ചെയ്തശേഷം നീ അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവൾക്കു ഭർത്താവായും അവൾ നിനക്കു ഭാര്യയായും ഇരിക്കേണം.

English: And it shall be, if you have no delight in her, then you shall let her go where she will; but you shall not sell her at all for money, you shall not make merchandise of her, because you have humbled her.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിനക്കു അവളോടു ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാതെയായെങ്കിൽ അവളെ സ്വതന്ത്രയായി വിട്ടയക്കേണം; അവളെ ഒരിക്കലും വിലെക്കു വിൽക്കരുതു; നീ അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവളോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവർത്തിക്കരുതു.

English: If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തി ഇഷ്ടയായും മറ്റവൾ അനിഷ്ടയായും ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരാൾക്കു രണ്ടു ഭാര്യമാർ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കയും അവർ ഇരുവരും അവന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെ പ്രസവിക്കയും ആദ്യജാതൻ അനിഷ്ടയുടെ മകൻ ആയിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

English: Then it shall be, when he makes his sons to inherit that which he has, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ സ്വത്തു പുത്രന്മാർക്കു ഭാഗിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുമ്പോൾ അനിഷ്ടയുടെ മകനായ ആദ്യജാതന്നു പകരം ഇഷ്ടയുടെ മകന്നു ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശം കൊടുത്തുകൂടാ.

English: But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he has: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

Malayalam: തനിക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിലും രണ്ടു പങ്കു അനിഷ്ടയുടെ മകന്നു കൊടുത്തു അവനെ ആദ്യജാതനെന്നു സ്വീകരിക്കേണം; അവൻ അവന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ ആരംഭമല്ലോ; ജ്യേഷ്ഠാവകാശം അവന്നുള്ളതാകുന്നു.

English: If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

Malayalam: അപ്പന്റെയോ അമ്മയുടെയോ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതെയും അവർ ശാസിച്ചാലും അനുസരിക്കാതെയുമിരിക്കുന്ന ശഠനും മത്സരിയുമായ മകൻ ഒരുത്തന്നു ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ

English: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;

Malayalam: അമ്മയപ്പന്മാർ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പട്ടണവാതിൽക്കലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി:

English: And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഈ മകൻ ശഠനും മത്സരിയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാത്തവനും തിന്നിയും കുടിയനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരോടു പറയേണം.

English: And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shall you put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവന്റെ പട്ടണക്കാർ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞുകൊല്ലേണം. ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം; യിസ്രായേലെല്ലാം കേട്ടു ഭയപ്പെടേണം.

English: And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and you hang him on a tree:

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തൻ മരണയോഗ്യമായ ഒരു പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവനെ കൊന്നു ഒരു മരത്തിൽ തൂക്കിയാൽ,

English: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but you shall in any way bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that your land be not defiled, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ശവം മരത്തിന്മേൽ രാത്രിമുഴുവനും ഇരിക്കരുതു; അന്നുതന്നേ അതു കുഴിച്ചിടേണം; തൂങ്ങിമരിച്ചവൻ ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ശാപഗ്രസ്തൻ ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശം നീ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.
