Exodus 2

English: And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ലേവികുടുംബത്തിലെ ഒരു പുരുഷൻ പോയി ഒരു ലേവ്യകന്യകയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

English: And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

Malayalam: അവൾ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. അവൻ സൌന്ദര്യമുള്ളവൻ എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു അവനെ മൂന്നു മാസം ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചു.

English: And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with bitumen and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.

Malayalam: അവനെ പിന്നെ ഒളിച്ചുവെപ്പാൻ കഴിയാതെ ആയപ്പോൾ അവൾ ഒരു ഞാങ്ങണപ്പെട്ടകം വാങ്ങി, അതിന്നു പശയും കീലും തേച്ചു, പൈതലിനെ അതിൽ കിടത്തി, നദിയുടെ അരികിൽ ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ ഇടയിൽ വെച്ചു.

English: And his sister stood far off, to know what would be done to him.

Malayalam: അവന്നു എന്തു ഭവിക്കുമെന്നു അറിവാൻ അവന്റെ പെങ്ങൾ ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു.

English: And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോന്റെ പുത്രി നദിയിൽ കുളിപ്പാൻ വന്നു; അവളുടെ ദാസിമാർ നദീതീരത്തുകൂടി നടന്നു; അവൾ ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ ഇടയിൽ പെട്ടകം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അതിനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ ദാസിയെ അയച്ചു.

English: And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

Malayalam: അവൾ അതു തുറന്നാറെ പൈതലിനെ കണ്ടു: കുട്ടി ഇതാ, കരയുന്നു. അവൾക്കു അതിനോടു അലിവുതോന്നി: ഇതു എബ്രായരുടെ പൈതങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to you a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?

Malayalam: അവന്റെ പെങ്ങൾ ഫറവോന്റെ പുത്രിയോടു: ഈ പൈതലിന്നു മുലകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു എബ്രായസ്ത്രീയെ ഞാൻ ചെന്നു വിളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരേണമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.

Malayalam: ഫറവോന്റെ പുത്രി അവളോടു: ചെന്നു കൊണ്ടു വരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. കന്യക ചെന്നു പൈതലിന്റെ അമ്മയെ വിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

English: And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give you your wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

Malayalam: ഫറവോന്റെ പുത്രി അവളോടു: നീ ഈ പൈതലിനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി മുലകൊടുത്തു വളർത്തേണം; ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ശമ്പളം തരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. സ്ത്രി പൈതലിനെ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി മുലകൊടുത്തു വളർത്തി.

English: And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

Malayalam: പൈതൽ വളർന്നശേഷം അവൾ അവനെ ഫറവോന്റെ പുത്രിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടു പോയി, അവൻ അവൾക്കു മകനായി: ഞാൻ അവനെ വെള്ളത്തിൽ നിന്നു വലിച്ചെടുത്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവൾ അവന്നു മോശെ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

English: And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

Malayalam: ആ കാലത്തു മോശെ മുതിർന്നശേഷം അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവരുടെ ഭാരമുള്ള വേല നോക്കി, തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ഒരു എബ്രായനെ ഒരു മിസ്രയീമ്യൻ അടിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

English: And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

Malayalam: അവൻ അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും നോക്കീട്ടു ആരും ഇല്ലെന്നു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ മിസ്രയീമ്യനെ അടിച്ചു കൊന്നു മണലിൽ മറവുചെയ്തു.

English: And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smite you your fellow?

Malayalam: പിറ്റേ ദിവസവും അവൻ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ രണ്ടു എബ്രായ പുരുഷന്മാർ തമ്മിൽ ശണ്ഠയിടുന്നതു കണ്ടു, അന്യായം ചെയ്തവനോടു: നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ അടിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said, Who made you a prince and a judge over us? intend you to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: നിന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രഭുവും ന്യായാധിപതിയും ആക്കിയവൻ ആർ? മിസ്രയീമ്യനെ കൊന്നതുപോലെ എന്നെയും കൊല്ലുവാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ കാര്യം പ്രസിദ്ധമായിപ്പോയല്ലോ എന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞു പേടിച്ചു.

English: Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

Malayalam: ഫറവോൻ ഈ കാര്യം കേട്ടാറെ മോശെയെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അന്വേഷിച്ചു. മോശെ ഫറവോന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോയി, മിദ്യാൻ ദേശത്തു ചെന്നു പാർത്തു; അവൻ ഒരു കിണറ്റിന്നരികെ ഇരുന്നു.

English: Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

Malayalam: മിദ്യാനിലെ പുരോഹിതന്നു ഏഴു പുത്രിമാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ വന്നു അപ്പന്റെ ആടുകൾക്കു കുടിപ്പാൻ വെള്ളം കോരി തൊട്ടികൾ നിറെച്ചു.

English: And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഇടയന്മാർ വന്നു അവരെ ആട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു: അപ്പോൾ മോശെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു അവരുടെ ആടുകളെ കുടിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that all of you are come so soon to day?

Malayalam: അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനായ റെഗൂവേലിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ: നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്നു ഇത്രവേഗം വന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

Malayalam: ഒരു മിസ്രയീമ്യൻ ഇടയന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ വിടുവിച്ചു, ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വെള്ളം കോരിത്തന്നു ആടുകളെ കുടിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that all of you have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ പുത്രിമാരോടു: അവൻ എവിടെ? നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിട്ടേച്ചു പോന്നതെന്തു? ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാൻ അവനെ വിളിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

Malayalam: മോശെക്കു അവനോടുകൂടെ പാർപ്പാൻ സമ്മതമായി; അവൻ മോശെക്കു തന്റെ മകൾ സിപ്പോറയെ കൊടുത്തു.

English: And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

Malayalam: അവൾ ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു: ഞാൻ അന്യദേശത്തു പരദേശി ആയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു അവന്നു ഗേർശോം എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

English: And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

Malayalam: ഏറെ നാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു മിസ്രയീംരാജാവു മരിച്ചു. യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ അടിമവേല നിമിത്തം നെടുവീർപ്പിട്ടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അടിമവേല ഹേതുവായുള്ള നിലവിള ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ എത്തി.

English: And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Malayalam: ദൈവം അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു; ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടും യാക്കോബിനോടും തനിക്കുള്ള നിയമവും ഓർത്തു.

English: And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

Malayalam: ദൈവം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു; ദൈവം അറിഞ്ഞു.
