Genesis 12

English: Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get you out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, unto a land that I will show you:

Malayalam: യഹോവ അബ്രാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നീ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തെയും ചാർച്ചക്കാരെയും പിതൃഭവനത്തെയും വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ കാണിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തെക്കു പോക.

English: And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing:

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വലിയോരു ജാതിയാക്കും; നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നിന്റെ പേർ വലുതാക്കും; നീ ഒരു അനുഗ്രഹമായിരിക്കും.

English: And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Malayalam: നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും. നിന്നെ ശപിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ ശപിക്കും; നിന്നിൽ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകല വംശങ്ങളും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

English: So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Malayalam: യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അബ്രാം പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ലോത്തും അവനോടുകൂടെ പോയി; ഹാരാനിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അബ്രാമിന്നു എഴുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

English: And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had got in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

Malayalam: അബ്രാം തന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിയെയും സഹോദരന്റെ മകനായ ലോത്തിനെയും തങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സമ്പത്തുകളെയൊക്കെയും തങ്ങൾ ഹാരാനിൽ വെച്ചു സമ്പാദിച്ച ആളുകളെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു കനാൻ ദേശത്തേക്കു പോകുവാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു കനാൻ ദേശത്തു എത്തി.

English: And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.

Malayalam: അബ്രാം ശേഖേമെന്ന സ്ഥലംവരെയും ഏലോൻ മോരെവരെയും ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. അന്നു കനാന്യൻ ദേശത്തു പാർത്തിരുന്നു.

English: And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto your seed will I give this land: and there built he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.

Malayalam: യഹോവ അബ്രാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി: നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കു ഞാൻ ഈ ദേശം കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. തനിക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ യഹോവെക്കു അവൻ അവിടെ ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു.

English: And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he built an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവിടെനിന്നു ബേഥേലിന്നു കിഴക്കുള്ള മലെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ബേഥേൽ പടിഞ്ഞാറും ഹായി കിഴക്കുമായി കൂടാരം അടിച്ചു; അവിടെ അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ആരാധിച്ചു.

English: And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

Malayalam: അബ്രാം പിന്നെയും തെക്കോട്ടു യാത്രചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.

Malayalam: ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായി; ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം കഠിനമായി തീർന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അബ്രാം മിസ്രയീമിൽ ചെന്നുപാർപ്പാൻ അവിടേക്കു പോയി.

English: And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that you are a fair woman to look upon:

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീമിൽ എത്തുമാറായപ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ ഭാര്യ സാറായിയോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഇതാ, നീ സൌന്ദര്യമുള്ള സ്ത്രീയെന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

English: Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see you, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save you alive.

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീമ്യർ നിന്നെ കാണുമ്പോൾ ഇവൾ അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നെകൊല്ലുകയും നിന്നെ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

English: Say, I pray you, you are my sister: that it may be well with me for your sake; and my soul shall live because of you.

Malayalam: നീ എന്റെ സഹോദരിയെന്നു പറയേണം; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം എനിക്കു നന്മവരികയും ഞാൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

English: And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അബ്രാം മിസ്രയീമിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ സ്ത്രീ അതി സുന്ദരി എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ കണ്ടു.

English: The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

Malayalam: ഫറവോന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും അവളെ കണ്ടു, ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അവളെ പ്രശംസിച്ചു; സ്ത്രീ ഫറവോന്റെ അരമനയിൽ പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു.

English: And he pleaded Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and male servants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.

Malayalam: അവളുടെ നിമിത്തം അവൻ അബ്രാമിന്നു നന്മ ചെയ്തു; അവന്നു ആടുമാടുകളും ആൺകഴുതകളും ദാസന്മാരും ദാസിമാരും പെൺകഴുതകളും ഒട്ടകങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.

Malayalam: അബ്രാമിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിനിമിത്തം യഹോവ ഫറവോനെയും അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെയും അത്യന്തം ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this that you have done unto me? why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ അബ്രാമിനെ വിളിച്ചു: നീ എന്നോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? അവൾ നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയെന്നു എന്നെ അറിയിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു?

English: Why said you, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold your wife, take her, and go your way.

Malayalam: അവൾ എന്റെ സഹോദരിയെന്നു എന്തിന്നു പറഞ്ഞു? ഞാൻ അവളെ ഭാര്യയായിട്ടു എടുപ്പാൻ സംഗതി വന്നുപോയല്ലോ; ഇപ്പോൾ ഇതാ, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യ; അവളെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

Malayalam: ഫറവോൻ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്റെ ആളുകളോടു കല്പിച്ചു; അവർ അവനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും അവന്നുള്ള സകലവുമായി പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.
