Genesis 41

English: And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

Malayalam: രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഫറവോൻ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured cattle and well fed; and they fed in a meadow.

Malayalam: അവൻ നദീതീരത്തു നിന്നു. അപ്പോൾ രൂപഗുണവും മാംസപുഷ്ടിയുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശുനദിയിൽ നിന്നു കയറി, ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ ഇടയിൽ മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And, behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and thin; and stood by the other cattle upon the brink of the river.

Malayalam: അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള വേറെ ഏഴു പശു നദിയിൽ നിന്നു കയറി, നദീതീരത്തു മറ്റേ പശുക്കളുടെ അരികെ നിന്നു.

English: And the ill favoured and thin cattle did eat up the seven well favoured and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.

Malayalam: മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള പശുക്കൾ രൂപ ഗുണവും മാംസപുഷ്ടിയുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശുക്കളെ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ ഉണർന്നു.

English: And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.

Malayalam: അവൻ പിന്നെയും ഉറങ്ങി, രണ്ടാമതും ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു; പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളതും നല്ലതുമായ ഏഴു കതിർ ഒരു തണ്ടിൽ നിന്നു പൊങ്ങി വന്നു.

English: And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

Malayalam: അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ നേർത്തും കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റിനാൽ കരിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്ന ഏഴു കതിർ പൊങ്ങിവന്നു.

English: And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

Malayalam: നേർത്ത ഏഴു കതിരുകൾ പുഷ്ടിയും മണിക്കരുത്തുമുള്ള ഏഴു കതിരുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ ഉണർന്നു, അതു സ്വപ്നം എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

Malayalam: പ്രാതഃകാലത്തു അവൻ വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടു മിസ്രയീമിലെ മന്ത്രവാദികളെയും ജ്ഞാനികളെയും എല്ലാം ആളയച്ചു വരുത്തി അവരോടു തന്റെ സ്വപ്നം പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ വ്യാഖ്യാനിപ്പാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

English: Then spoke the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ പാനപാത്രവാഹകന്മാരുടെ പ്രമാണി ഫറവോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഇന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ കുറ്റം ഓർക്കുന്നു.

English: Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker:

Malayalam: ഫറവോൻ അടിയങ്ങളോടു കോപിച്ചു, എന്നെയും അപ്പക്കാരുടെ പ്രമാണിയെയും അകമ്പടിനായകന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ തടവിലാക്കിയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

Malayalam: അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാനും അവനും ഒരു രാത്രിയിൽ തന്നേ സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു; വെവ്വേറെ അർത്ഥമുള്ള സ്വപ്നം ആയിരുന്നു ഓരോരുത്തൻ കണ്ടതു.

English: And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

Malayalam: അവിടെ അകമ്പടി നായകന്റെ ദാസനായ ഒരു എബ്രായ യൌവനക്കാരൻ ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചാറെ അവൻ സ്വപ്നങ്ങളെ വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചു; ഓരോരുത്തന്നു താന്താന്റെ സ്വപ്നത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം പറഞ്ഞുതന്നു.

English: And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.

Malayalam: അവൻ അർത്ഥം പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ തന്നേ സംഭവിച്ചു; എന്നെ വീണ്ടും സ്ഥാനത്തു ആക്കുകയും മറ്റവനെ തൂക്കിക്കളകയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

English: Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ ഫറവോൻ ആളയച്ചു യോസേഫിനെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു. അവർ അവനെ വേഗത്തിൽ കുണ്ടറയിൽനിന്നു ഇറക്കി; അവൻ ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്യിച്ചു, വസ്ത്രം മാറി, ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു.

English: And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it.

Malayalam: ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു: ഞാൻ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു; അതിനെ വ്യാഖ്യനിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; എന്നാൽ നീ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കേട്ടാൽ വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കുമെന്നു നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യോസേഫ് ഫറവോനോടു: ഞാനല്ല ദൈവം തന്നേ ഫറവോന്നു ശുഭമായോരു ഉത്തരം നല്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നദീതീരത്തു നിന്നു.

English: And, behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, well fed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ മാംസപുഷ്ടിയും രൂപഗുണവുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശു നദിയിൽനിന്നു കയറി ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ ഇടയിൽ മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And, behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:

Malayalam: അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ ക്ഷീണിച്ചും മെലിഞ്ഞും എത്രയും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള വേറെ ഏഴു പശു കയറി വന്നു; അത്ര വിരൂപമായവയെ ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എങ്ങും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

English: And the lean and the ill favoured cattle did eat up the first seven fat cattle:

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള പശുക്കൾ പുഷ്ടിയുള്ള മുമ്പിലത്തെ ഏഴു പശുക്കളെ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു;

English: And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

Malayalam: ഇവ അവയുടെ വയറ്റിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടും വയറ്റിൽ ചെന്നു എന്നു അറിവാനില്ലായിരന്നു; അവ മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ വിരൂപമുള്ളവ ആയിരുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഉണർന്നു.

English: And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:

Malayalam: പിന്നെയും ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ കണ്ടതു: നിറഞ്ഞതും നല്ലതുമായ ഏഴു കതിർ ഒരു തണ്ടിൽ പൊങ്ങിവന്നു.

English: And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:

Malayalam: അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ ഉണങ്ങിയും നേർത്തും കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റിനാൽ കരിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്ന ഏഴു കതിർ പൊങ്ങിവന്നു.

English: And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.

Malayalam: നേർത്ത കതിരുകൾ ഏഴു നല്ല കതിരുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു. ഇതു ഞാൻ മന്ത്രവാദികളോടു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ വ്യാഖ്യാനിപ്പാൻ ആർക്കും കഴഞ്ഞില്ല.

English: And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God has showed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യോസേഫ് ഫറവോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഫറവോന്റെ സ്വപ്നം ഒന്നുതന്നേ; താൻ ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നതു ദൈവം ഫറവോന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.

Malayalam: ഏഴു നല്ല പശു ഏഴു സംവത്സരം; നല്ല കതിരും ഏഴു സംവത്സരം; സ്വപ്നം ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

English: And the seven thin and ill favoured cattle that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

Malayalam: അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ കയറിവന്ന മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശുവും കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റിനാൽ കരിഞ്ഞു പതിരായുള്ള ഏഴു കതിരും ഏഴു സംവത്സരം; അവ ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം ആകുന്നു.

English: This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he shows unto Pharaoh.

Malayalam: ദൈവം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നതു ഫറവോന്നു കാണിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു അതാകുന്നു ഞാൻ ഫറവോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു.

English: Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും ബഹു സുഭിക്ഷമായ ഏഴു സംവത്സരം വരും.

English: And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

Malayalam: അതു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം വരും; അപ്പോൾ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ആ സുഭിക്ഷതയൊക്കെയും മറന്നിരിക്കും; ക്ഷാമത്താൽ ദേശം ഒക്കെയും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.

English: And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

Malayalam: പിൻവരുന്ന ക്ഷാമം അതികഠിനമായിരിക്കയാൽ ദേശത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സുഭിക്ഷത അറിയാതെയായിപ്പോകും.

English: And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Malayalam: ഫറവോന്നു സ്വപ്നം രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഉണ്ടായതോ കാര്യം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ദൈവം അതിനെ വേഗത്തിൽ വരുത്തുവാനിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ആകുന്നു.

English: Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ ഫറവോൻ വിവേകവും ജ്ഞാനവുമുള്ള ഒരുത്തനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നു മേലധികാരി ആക്കി വെക്കേണം.

English: Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven abundant years.

Malayalam: അതുകൂടാതെ ഫറവോൻ ദേശത്തിന്മേൽ വിചാരകന്മാരെ ആക്കി, സുഭിക്ഷതയുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരത്തിൽ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ വിളവിൽ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നു വാങ്ങേണം.

English: And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

Malayalam: ഈ വരുന്ന നല്ല സംവത്സരങ്ങളിലെ വിളവൊക്കെയും ശേഖരിച്ചു പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഫറവോന്റെ അധീനത്തിൽ ധാന്യം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കേണം.

English: And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

Malayalam: ആ ധാന്യം മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു വരുവാൻ പോകുന്ന ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴുസംവത്സരത്തേക്കു ദേശത്തിന്നു സംഗ്രഹമായിട്ടിരിക്കേണം; എന്നാൽ ദേശം ക്ഷാമം കൊണ്ടു നശിക്കയില്ല.

English: And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

Malayalam: ഈ വാക്കു ഫറവോന്നും അവന്റെ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കും ബോധിച്ചു.

English: And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

Malayalam: ഫറവോൻ തന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടു: ദൈവാത്മാവുള്ള ഈ മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെ ഒരുത്തനെ കണ്ടുകിട്ടുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God has showed you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are:

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു: ദൈവം ഇതൊക്കെയും നിനക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി തന്നതു കൊണ്ടു നിന്നെപ്പോലെ വിവേകവും ജ്ഞാനവുമുള്ളവൻ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല.

English: You shall be over my house, and according unto your word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than you.

Malayalam: നീ എന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു മേലധികാരിയാകും; നിന്റെ വാക്കു എന്റെ ജനമെല്ലാം അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കും; സിംഹാസനംകൊണ്ടു മാത്രം ഞാൻ നിന്നെക്കാൾ വലിയവനായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.

Malayalam: ഇതാ, മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മേലധികാരി ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു, എന്നും ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

Malayalam: ഫറവോൻ തന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു മുദ്രമോതിരം ഊരി, യോസേഫിന്റെ കൈക്കു ഇട്ടു, അവനെ നേർമ്മയുള്ള വസ്ത്രംധരിപ്പിച്ചു, ഒരു സ്വർണ്ണസരപ്പളിയും അവന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ ഇട്ടു.

English: And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Malayalam: തന്റെ രണ്ടാം രഥത്തിൽ അവനെ കയറ്റി: മുട്ടുകുത്തുവിൻ എന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളിച്ചു പറയിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവനെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും മേലധികാരിയാക്കി.

English: And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു: ഞാൻ ഫറവോൻ ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ കല്പന കൂടാതെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എങ്ങും യാതൊരുത്തനും കയ്യോ കാലോ അനക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Malayalam: ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിന്നു സാപ്നത്ത് പനേഹ് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു; ഓനിലെ പുരോഹിതനായ പോത്തിഫേറയുടെ മകൾ ആസ്നത്തിനെ അവന്നു ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുത്തു. പിന്നെ യോസേഫ് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

English: And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്നു മുപ്പതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു യോസേഫ് ഫറവോന്റെ സന്നിധാനത്തിൽ നിന്നു പറപ്പെട്ടു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

English: And in the seven abundant years the earth brought forth by handfuls.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ സുഭിക്ഷമായ ഏഴു സംവത്സരവും ദേശം സമൃദ്ധിയായി വിളഞ്ഞു.

English: And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു സുഭിക്ഷത ഉണ്ടായ ഏഴു സംവത്സരത്തിലെ ധാന്യം ഒക്കെയും അവൻ ശേഖരിച്ചു പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു; ഓരോ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചുറ്റുവട്ടത്തുള്ള നിലത്തിലെ ധാന്യം സൂക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് കടൽകരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ എത്രയും വളരെ ധാന്യം ശേഖരിച്ചു വെച്ചു; അളപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ലായ്കയാൽ അളവു നിർത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

English: And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.

Malayalam: ക്ഷാമകാലം വരുംമുമ്പെ യോസേഫിന്നു രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാർ ജനിച്ചു; അവരെ ഓനിലെ പുരോഹിതനായ പോത്തിഫേറയുടെ മകൾ ആസ്നത്ത് പ്രസവിച്ചു.

English: And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, has made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.

Malayalam: എന്റെ സകല കഷ്ടതയും എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനം ഒക്കെയും ദൈവം എന്നെ മറക്കുമാറാക്കി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യോസേഫ് തന്റെ ആദ്യജാതന്നു മനശ്ശെ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

English: And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

Malayalam: സങ്കടദേശത്തു ദൈവം എന്നെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, അവൻ രണ്ടാമത്തവന്നു എഫ്രയീം എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

English: And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുണ്ടായ സുഭിക്ഷതയുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ

English: And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം തുടങ്ങി; സകലദേശങ്ങളിലും ക്ഷാമമുണ്ടായി; എന്നാൽ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ആഹാരം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he says to you, do.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോൾ ജനങ്ങൾ ആഹാരത്തിന്നായി ഫറവോനോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; ഫറവോൻ മിസ്രയീമ്യരോടു ഒക്കെയും: നിങ്ങൾ യോസേഫിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുവിൻ; അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുംപോലെ ചെയ്‍വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.
