Genesis 43

English: And the famine was sore in the land.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ക്ഷാമം ദേശത്തു കഠിനമായി തീർന്നു.

English: And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food.

Malayalam: അവർ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന ധാന്യം തിന്നു തീർന്നപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ അപ്പൻ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഇനിയും പോയി കുറെ ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Judah spoke unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, All of you shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യെഹൂദാ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ മുഖം കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു അദ്ദേഹം തീർച്ചയായി ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: If you will send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food:

Malayalam: നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെ ഞങ്ങളുടെക്കുടെ അയച്ചാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു ആഹാരം വാങ്ങി കൊണ്ടുവരാം;

English: But if you will not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, All of you shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

Malayalam: അയക്കാഞ്ഞാലോ ഞങ്ങൾ പോകയില്ല. നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ല എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ മുഖം കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു അദ്ദേഹം ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And Israel said, Wherefore dealt all of you so ill with me, as to tell the man whether all of you had yet a brother?

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇനിയും ഒരു സഹോദരൻ ഉണ്ടെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു എനിക്കു ഈ ദോഷം വരുത്തിയതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു യിസ്രായേൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they said, The man asked us strictly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have all of you another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവർ: നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇനിയും ഒരു സഹോദരൻ ഉണ്ടോ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം ഞങ്ങളെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ വംശത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു താല്പര്യമായി ചോദിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങൾ ഇതൊക്കെയും അറിയിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെ ഇവിടെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ എന്നു അദ്ദേഹം പറയുമെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and you, and also our little ones.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞങ്ങളും നീയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളും മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ബാലനെ എന്നോടുകൂടെ അയക്കേണം; എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പോകാം.

English: I will be guarantor for him; of my hand shall you require him: if I bring him not unto you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame for ever:

Malayalam: ഞാൻ അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഉത്തരവാദിയായിരിക്കാം; നീ അവനെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ചോദിക്കേണം; ഞാൻ അവനെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവനെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിർത്തുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ സദാകാലം നിനക്കു കുറ്റക്കാരനായിക്കൊള്ളാം.

English: For except we had lingered, surely now we had returned this second time.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങൾ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ രണ്ടുപ്രാവശ്യം പോയി വരുമായിരുന്നു.

English: And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേൽ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഇതു ചെയ്‍വിൻ: നിങ്ങളുടെ പാത്രങ്ങളിൽ കുറെ സുഗന്ധപ്പശ, കുറെ തേൻ, സാംപ്രാണി, സന്നിനായകം, ബോടനണ്ടി, ബദാമണ്ടി എന്നിങ്ങളെ ദേശത്തിലെ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളിൽ ചിലതൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുപോയി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്നു കാഴ്ചവെപ്പിൻ.

English: And take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand; possibly it was an oversight:

Malayalam: ഇരട്ടിദ്രവ്യവും കയ്യിൽ എടുത്തുകൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്ന ദ്രവ്യവും കയ്യിൽ തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ; പക്ഷേ അതു കൈമറിച്ചലായിരിക്കും.

English: Take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെയും കൂട്ടി പുറപ്പെട്ടു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വീണ്ടും ചെല്ലുവിൻ.

English: And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

Malayalam: അവൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മറ്റേ സഹോദരനെയും ബേന്യാമീനെയും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ അയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സർവ്വശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവം അവന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു കരുണ തോന്നിക്കട്ടെ; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവനാകേണമെങ്കിൽ ആകട്ടെ.

English: And the men took that present, and they took double money in their hand and Benjamin; and rose up, and went down to Egypt, and stood before Joseph.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അവർ ആ കാഴ്ചയും ഇരട്ടിദ്രവ്യവും എടുത്തു ബെന്യാമീനെയും കൂട്ടി പുറപ്പെട്ടു മിസ്രയീമിൽ ചെന്നു യോസേഫീന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു.

English: And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and slay, and make ready; for these men shall dine with me at noon.

Malayalam: അവരോടുകൂടെ ബെന്യാമീനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ ഗൃഹ വിചാരകനോടു: നീ ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരെ വീട്ടിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോക; അവർ ഉച്ചെക്കു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതാകയാൽ മൃഗത്തെ അറുത്തു ഒരുക്കിക്കൊൾക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: And the man did as Joseph bade; and the man brought the men into Joseph's house.

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവൻ ചെയ്തു; അവരെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി.

English: And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.

Malayalam: തങ്ങളെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകയാൽ അവർ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു: ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രാവശ്യം നമ്മുടെ ചാക്കിൽ മടങ്ങിവന്ന ദ്രവ്യം നിമിത്തം നമ്മെ പിടിച്ചു അടിമകളാക്കി നമ്മുടെ കഴുതകളെയും എടുത്തുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നാകുന്നു നമ്മെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they came near to the steward of Joseph's house, and they communed with him at the door of the house,

Malayalam: അവർ യോസേഫിന്റെ ഗൃഹവിചാരകന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു, വീട്ടുവാതിൽക്കൽവെച്ചു അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു:

English: And said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food:

Malayalam: യജമാനനേ, ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ വന്നിരുന്നു.

English: And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man's money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങൾ വഴിയമ്പലത്തിൽ ചെന്നു ചാക്കു അഴിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം മുഴുവനും അവനവന്റെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതു ഞങ്ങൾ വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.

Malayalam: ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ വേറെ ദ്രവ്യവും ഞങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു; ദ്രവ്യം ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിൽ വെച്ചതു ആരെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, has given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: നിങ്ങൾക്കു സാമാധാനം; നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം, നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നിക്ഷേപം തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദ്രവ്യം എനിക്കു കിട്ടി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ശിമെയോനെയും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

English: And the man brought the men into Joseph's house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their asses animal food.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നകത്തു കെണ്ടുപോയി; അവർക്കു വെള്ളം കൊടുത്തു, അവർ കാലുകളെ കഴുകി; അവരുടെ കഴുതകൾക്കു അവൻ തീൻ കൊടുത്തു.

English: And they made ready the present against Joseph came at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there.

Malayalam: ഉച്ചെക്കു യോസേഫ് വരുമ്പോഴേക്കു അവർ കാഴ്ച ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചു; തങ്ങൾക്കു ഭക്ഷണം അവിടെ എന്നു അവർ കേട്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് വീട്ടിൽവന്നപ്പോൾ അവർ കൈവശമുള്ള കാഴ്ച അകത്തുകൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വെച്ചു അവനെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

English: And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom all of you spoke? Is he yet alive?

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു കുശലപ്രശ്നം ചെയ്തു: നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞ വൃദ്ധൻ, നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പൻ സൌഖ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവൻ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And they answered, Your servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made reverence.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവർ: ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനായ നിന്റെ അടിയാന്നു സുഖം തന്നേ; അവൻ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു കുനിഞ്ഞു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

English: And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom all of you spoke unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto you, my son.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ തല ഉയർത്തി, തന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മകനും തന്റെ അനുജനുമായ ബെന്യാമീനെ കണ്ടു: നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇളയസഹോദരനോ ഇവൻ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു: ദൈവം നിനക്കു കൃപനല്കട്ടെ മകനേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there.

Malayalam: അനുജനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു യോസേഫിന്റെ മനസ്സു ഇരുകിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ കരയേണ്ടതിന്നു ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു സ്ഥലം അന്വേഷിച്ചു, അറയിൽചെന്നു അവിടെവെച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു.

English: And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ മുഖം കഴുകി പുറത്തു വന്നു തന്നെത്താൻ അടക്കി: ഭക്ഷണം കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

Malayalam: അവർ അവന്നു പ്രത്യേകവും അവർക്കു പ്രത്യേകവും, അവനോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്ന മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു പ്രത്യേകവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു വെച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യർ എബ്രായരോടു കൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയില്ല; അതു മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

English: And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marvelled one at another.

Malayalam: മൂത്തവൻ മുതൽ ഇളയവൻ വരെ പ്രായത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം അവരെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരുത്തി; അവർ അന്യോന്യം നോക്കി ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.

English: And he took and sent portions unto them from before him: but Benjamin's portion was five times so much as any of their's. And they drank, and were merry with him.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു അവർക്കു ഓഹരികൊടുത്തയച്ചു; ബെന്യാമീന്റെ ഓഹരി മറ്റവരുടെ ഓഹരിയുടെ അഞ്ചിരട്ടിയായിരുന്നു; അവർ പാനംചെയ്തു അവനോടുകൂടെ ആഹ്ളാദിച്ചു.
