Genesis 50

English: And Joseph fell upon his father's face, and wept upon him, and kissed him.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യോസേഫ് തന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ മുഖത്തു വീണു കരഞ്ഞു അവനെ ചുംബിച്ചു.

English: And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father: and the physicians embalmed Israel.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ തന്റെ അപ്പന്നു സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം ഇടുവാൻ യോസേഫ് തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ വൈദ്യന്മാരോടു കല്പിച്ചു; വൈദ്യന്മാർ യിസ്രായേലിനു സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം ഇട്ടു.

English: And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ നാല്പതു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞു; സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം ഇടുവാൻ അത്ര ദിവസം വേണ്ടി വരും. മിസ്രയീമ്യർ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുപതു ദിവസം വിലാപം കഴിച്ചു.

English: And when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spoke unto the house of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,

Malayalam: അവന്നായുള്ള വിലാപകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ യോസേഫ് ഫറവോന്റെ ഗൃഹക്കാരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്നോടു ദയ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഫറവോനോടു:

English: My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have dug for me in the land of Canaan, there shall you bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray you, and bury my father, and I will come again.

Malayalam: എന്റെ അപ്പൻ: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ മരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ കനാൻ ദേശത്തു എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി വെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന കല്ലറയിൽ തന്നേ നീ എന്നെ അടക്കേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു. ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ പോയി എന്റെ അപ്പനെ അടക്കി മടങ്ങി വരുവാൻ അനുവാദത്തിന്നു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉണർത്തിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury your father, according as he made you swear.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ അപ്പൻ നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചതു പോലെ നീ പോയി അവനെ അടക്കുക എന്നു ഫറവോൻ കല്പിച്ചു.

English: And Joseph went up to bury his father: and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt,

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് അപ്പനെ അടക്കുവാൻ പൊയി; ഫറവോന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും കോവിലധികാരികളും

English: And all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father's house: only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen.

Malayalam: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ പ്രമാണികളും യോസേഫിന്റെ കുടുംബം ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും പിതൃഭവനവും അവനോടുകൂടെ പോയി; തങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളെയും ആടുമാടുകളെയും മാത്രം അവർ ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു വിട്ടേച്ചുപോയി

English: And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company.

Malayalam: രഥങ്ങളും കുതിരയാളുകളും അവനോടുകൂടെ പോയി; അതു എത്രയും വലിയ കൂട്ടമായിരുന്നു.

English: And they came to the threshing floor of Atad, which is beyond Jordan, and there they mourned with a great and very sore lamentation: and he made a mourning for his father seven days.

Malayalam: അവർ യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെയുള്ള ഗോരെൻ-ആതാദിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവിടെവെച്ചു എത്രയും ഗൌരവമായ പ്രലാപം കഴിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ ഏഴു ദിവസം തന്റെ അപ്പനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലാപം കഴിച്ചു.

English: And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond Jordan.

Malayalam: ദേശനിവാസികളായ കനാന്യർ ഗോരെൻ-ആതാദിലെ വിലാപം കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഇതു മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ മഹാവിലാപം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു ആബേൽ-മിസ്രയീം എന്നു പേരായി; അതു യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ ആകുന്നു.

English: And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them:

Malayalam: അവൻ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നതു പോലെ പുത്രന്മാർ അവന്നു ചെയ്തു.

English: For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അവനെ കനാൻ ദേശത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി, മമ്രേക്കു സമീപം അബ്രാഹാം ഹിത്യനായ എഫ്രോനോടു നിലത്തോടു കൂടെ ശ്മശാനഭൂമിയായി ജന്മം വാങ്ങിയ മക്ക്പേലയെന്ന നിലത്തിലെ ഗുഹയിൽ അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു.

English: And Joseph returned into Egypt, he, and his brethren, and all that went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father.

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് അപ്പനെ അടക്കിയശേഷം അവനും സഹോദരനും അവന്റെ അപ്പനെ അടക്കുവാൻ കൂടെ പോയിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരും മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.

English: And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will possibly hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him.

Malayalam: അപ്പൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു യോസേഫിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ കണ്ടിട്ടു: പക്ഷേ യോസേഫ് നമ്മെ ദ്വേഷിച്ചു, നാം അവനോടു ചെയ്ത സകലദോഷത്തിന്നും നമ്മോടു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Your father did command before he died, saying,

Malayalam: അവർ യോസേഫിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: അപ്പൻ മരിക്കും മുമ്പെ: നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ നിന്നോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്തു; അവർ ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമവും പാപവും നീ ക്ഷമിക്കേണം എന്നു യോസേഫിനോടു പറവിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: So shall all of you say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray you now, the trespass of your brethren, and their sin; for they did unto you evil: and now, we pray you, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father. And Joseph wept when they spoke unto him.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ ദ്രോഹം ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറയിച്ചു. അവർ യോസേഫിനോടു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ കരഞ്ഞു.

English: And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be your servants.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ചെന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വീണു: ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു അടിമകൾ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നുവോ?

English: But as for you, all of you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നേരെ ദോഷം വിചാരിച്ചു; ദൈവമോ, ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ ബഹുജനത്തിന്നു ജീവരക്ഷ വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിനെ ഗുണമാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.

English: Now therefore fear all of you not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spoke kindly unto them.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളെയും പോറ്റി രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തി.

English: And Joseph dwelt in Egypt, he, and his father's house: and Joseph lived an hundred and ten years.

Malayalam: യോസേഫും അവന്റെ പിതൃഭവനവും മിസ്രയീമിൽ പാർത്തു, യോസേഫ് നൂറ്റിപ്പത്തു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: And Joseph saw Ephraim's children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son of Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph's knees.

Malayalam: എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ മൂന്നാം തലമുറയിലെ മക്കളെയും കണ്ടു; മനശ്ശെയുടെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ മക്കളും യോസേഫിന്റെ മടിയിൽ വളർന്നു.

English: And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യോസേഫ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു: ഞാൻ മരിക്കുന്നു;എന്നാൽ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദർശിക്കയും ഈ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു താൻ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടും യാക്കോബിനോടും സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and all of you shall carry up my bones from behind.

Malayalam: ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദർശിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ ഇവിടെനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യോസേഫ് യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

English: So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt.

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് നൂറ്റിപ്പത്തു വയസ്സുള്ളവനായി മരിച്ചു. അവർ അവന്നു സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം ഇട്ടു അവനെ മിസ്രയീമിൽ ഒരു ശവപ്പെട്ടിയിൽ വെച്ചു.
