Isaiah 40

English: Comfort all of you, comfort all of you my people, says your God.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ജനത്തെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പിൻ, ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പിൻ എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Speak all of you comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she has received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.

Malayalam: യെരൂശലേമിനോടു ആദരവോടെ സംസാരിച്ചു; അവളുടെ യുദ്ധ സേവ കഴിഞ്ഞും അവളുടെ അകൃത്യം മോചിക്കപ്പെട്ടും അവൾ തന്റെ സകലപാപങ്ങൾക്കും പകരം യഹോവയുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ഇരട്ടിയായി പ്രാപിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവളോടു വിളിച്ചുപറവിൻ.

English: The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare all of you the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Malayalam: കേട്ടോ ഒരുത്തൻ വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നതു: മരുഭൂമിയിൽ യഹോവെക്കു വഴി ഒരുക്കുവിൻ; നിർജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഒരു പെരുവഴി നിരപ്പാക്കുവിൻ.

English: Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

Malayalam: എല്ലാ താഴ്വരയും നികന്നും എല്ലാമലയും കുന്നും താണും വരേണം; വളഞ്ഞതു ചൊവ്വായും ദുർഘടങ്ങൾ സമമായും തീരേണം.

English: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം വെളിപ്പെടും, സകലജഡവും ഒരുപോലെ അതിനെ കാണും; യഹോവയുടെ വായല്ലോ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു.

English: The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

Malayalam: കേട്ടോ, വിളിച്ചുപറക എന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ പറയുന്നു; എന്തു വിളിച്ചുപറയേണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചു; സകലജഡവും പുല്ലുപോലെയും അതിന്റെ ഭംഗിയെല്ലാം വയലിലെ പൂപോലെയും ആകുന്നു.

English: The grass withers, the flower fades: because the spirit of the LORD blows upon it: surely the people is grass.

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ ശ്വാസം അതിന്മേൽ ഊതുകയാൽ പുല്ലുണങ്ങുന്നു. പൂ വാടുന്നു; അതേ ജനം പുല്ലുതന്നേ.

English: The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Malayalam: പുല്ലുണങ്ങുന്നു, പൂ വാടുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനമോ എന്നേക്കും നിലനില്ക്കും.

English: O Zion, that bring good tidings, get you up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bring good tidings, lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

Malayalam: സുവാർത്താദൂതിയായ സീയോനേ, നീ ഉയർന്ന പർവ്വതത്തിലേക്കു കയറിച്ചെല്ലുക; സുവാർത്താദൂതിയായ യെരൂശലേമേ, നിന്റെ ശബ്ദം ശക്തിയോടെ ഉയർത്തുക; ഭയപ്പെടാതെ ഉയർത്തുക; യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളോടു: ഇതാ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം എന്നു പറക.

English: Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Malayalam: ഇതാ, യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ബലശാലിയായി വരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ഭുജം അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഭരണം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഇതാ, കൂലി അവന്റെ പക്കലും പ്രതിഫലം അവന്റെ കയ്യിലും ഉണ്ടു.

English: He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Malayalam: ഒരു ഇടയനെപ്പോലെ അവൻ തന്റെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തെ മേയിക്കയും കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ ഭുജത്തിൽ എടുത്തു മാർവ്വിടത്തിൽ ചേർത്തു വഹിക്കയും തള്ളകളെ പതുക്കെ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

English: Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Malayalam: തന്റെ ഉള്ളങ്കൈകൊണ്ടു വെള്ളം അളക്കുകയും ചാണുകൊണ്ടു ആകാശത്തിന്റെ പരിമാണമെടുക്കയും ഭൂമിയുടെ പൊടി നാഴിയിൽ കൊള്ളിക്കയും പർവ്വതങ്ങൾ വെള്ളിക്കോൽകൊണ്ടും കുന്നുകൾ തുലാസിലും തൂക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവൻ ആർ?

English: Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor has taught him?

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ മനസ്സു ആരാഞ്ഞറികയോ അവന്നു മന്ത്രിയായി അവനെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കയോ ചെയ്തവനാർ?

English: With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?

Malayalam: അവനെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു ന്യായത്തിന്റെ പാതയെ പഠിപ്പിക്കയും അവനെ പരിജ്ഞാനം പഠിപ്പിച്ചു വിവേകത്തിന്റെ മാർഗ്ഗം കാണിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ആരോടാകുന്നു ആലോചന കഴിച്ചതു?

English: Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he takes up the isles as a very little thing.

Malayalam: ഇതാ ജാതികൾ തുലാക്കൊട്ടയിലെ ഒരു തുള്ളിപോലെയും, തുലാസിലെ ഒരു പൊടിപോലെയും അവന്നു തോന്നുന്നു; ഇതാ, അവൻ ദ്വീപുകളെ ഒരു മണൽതരിയെപ്പോലെ എടുത്തു പൊക്കുന്നു.

English: And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

Malayalam: ലെബാനോൻ വിറകിന്നു പോരാ; അതിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾ ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്നു മതിയാകുന്നില്ല.

English: All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

Malayalam: സകലജാതികളും അവന്നു ഏതുമില്ലാത്തതുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു വെറുമയും ശൂന്യവുമായി തോന്നുന്നു.

English: To whom then will all of you liken God? or what likeness will all of you compare unto him?

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവത്തെ ആരോടു ഉപമിക്കും? ഏതു പ്രതിമയെ നിങ്ങൾ അവനോടു സദൃശമാക്കും?

English: The workman melts a graven image, and the goldsmith spreads it over with gold, and casts silver chains.

Malayalam: മൂശാരി വിഗ്രഹം വാർക്കുന്നു; തട്ടാൻ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതികയും അതിന്നു വെള്ളിച്ചങ്ങല തീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: He that is so impoverished that he has no oblation chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ള പ്രതിഷ്ഠെക്കു വകയില്ലാത്തവൻ ദ്രവിച്ചുപോകാത്ത ഒരു മരക്കണ്ടം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കയും ഇളകാത്ത വിഗ്രഹം കൊത്തിയുണ്ടാക്കി നിർത്തുവാൻ ഒരു ശില്പിയെ അന്വേഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Have all of you not known? have all of you not heard? has it not been told you from the beginning? have all of you not understood from the foundations of the earth?

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടയോ? നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലയോ? ആദിമുതൽ നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? ഭൂമിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങളാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

English: It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:

Malayalam: അവൻ ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തിന്മീതെ അധിവസിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ നിവാസികൾ വെട്ടുക്കിളികളെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ആകാശത്തെ ഒരു തിരശ്ശീലപോലെ നിവർക്കുകയും പാർപ്പാനുള്ള ഒരു കൂടാരത്തെപ്പോലെ വിരിക്കയും

English: That brings the princes to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth as vanity.

Malayalam: പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ഇല്ലാതെയാക്കുകയും ഭൂമിയിലെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

Malayalam: അവരെ നട്ട ഉടനെ, അവരെ വിതെച്ച ഉടനെ അവർ നിലത്തു വേരൂന്നിത്തുടങ്ങിയ ഉടനെ അവൻ അവരുടെ മേൽ ഊതി അവർ വാടിപ്പോകയും ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു താളടിപോലെ പാറിപ്പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: To whom then will all of you liken me, or shall I be equal? says the Holy One.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ആരോടു സദൃശമാക്കും? ഞാൻ ആരോടു തുല്യനാകും എന്നു പരിശുദ്ധനായവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ണു മേലോട്ടു ഉയർത്തി നോക്കുവിൻ; ഇവയെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതാർ? അവൻ അവയുടെ സൈന്യത്തെ സംഖ്യാക്രമത്തിൽ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും അവയെ എല്ലാം പേർ ചൊല്ലി വിളിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവന്റെ വീര്യമാഹാത്മ്യംനിമിത്തവും അവന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ ആധിക്യംനിമിത്തവും അവയിൽ ഒന്നും കുറഞ്ഞു കാണുകയില്ല.

English: Why says you, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ എന്റെ വഴി യഹോവെക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ന്യായം എന്റെ ദൈവം കാണാതെ കടന്നുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു, യാക്കോബേ, നീ പറകയും യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ സംസാരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തു?

English: Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Malayalam: നിനക്കറിഞ്ഞുകൂടയോ? നീ കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലയോ? യഹോവ നിത്യദൈവം; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതികളെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവൻ തന്നേ; അവൻ ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നില്ല, തളർന്നുപോകുന്നതുമില്ല; അവന്റെ ബുദ്ധി അപ്രമേയമത്രേ.

English: He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.

Malayalam: അവൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന്നു ശക്തി നല്കുന്നു; ബലമില്ലാത്തവന്നു ബലം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Malayalam: ബാല്യക്കാർ ക്ഷീണിച്ചു തളർന്നുപോകും; യൌവനക്കാരും ഇടറിവീഴും.

English: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും യഹോവയെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവർ ശക്തിയെ പുതുക്കും; അവർ കഴുകന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ചിറകു അടിച്ചു കയറും; അവർ തളർന്നുപോകാതെ ഓടുകയും ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോകാതെ നടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
