English: My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, തേജസ്സുള്ളവനായി നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ മുഖപക്ഷം കാണിക്കരുതു.

English: For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ പള്ളിയിൽ മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചും പൊന്മോതിരം ഇട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു ഒരുത്തനും മുഷിഞ്ഞ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചോരു ദരിദ്രനും വന്നാൽ

English: And all of you have respect to him that wears the cheerful clothing, and say unto him, Sit you here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand you there, or sit here under my footstool:

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചവനെ നോക്കി: ഇവിടെ സുഖേന ഇരുന്നാലും എന്നും ദരിദ്രനോടു: നീ അവിടെ നിൽക്ക; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്റെ പാദപീഠത്തിങ്കൽ ഇരിക്ക എന്നും പറയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ

English: Are all of you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളിൽ പ്രാമാണമില്ലാതെ ന്യായരഹിതമായി വിധിക്കുന്നവരായില്ലയോ?

English: Hearken, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him?

Malayalam: പ്രിയ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ: ദൈവം ലോകത്തിൽ ദരിദ്രരായവരെ വിശ്വാസത്തിൽ സമ്പന്നരും തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ അവകാശികളുമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളോ ദരിദ്രനെ അപമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: But all of you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

Malayalam: ധനവാന്മാർ അല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു? അവർ അല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളെ ന്യായസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇഴെച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതു?

English: Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which all of you are called?

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നല്ല നാമത്തെ അവർ അല്ലയോ ദുഷിക്കുന്നതു?

English: If all of you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbour as yourself, all of you do well:

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ “കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം” എന്ന തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം രാജകീയന്യായപ്രമാണം നിങ്ങൾ നിവർത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നന്നു.

English: But if all of you have respect to persons, all of you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Malayalam: മുഖപക്ഷം കാണിച്ചാലോ പാപം ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ലംഘനക്കാർ എന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താൽ തെളിയുന്നു.

English: For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തൻ ന്യായപ്രമാണം മുഴുവനും അനുസരിച്ചു നടന്നിട്ടും ഒന്നിൽ തെറ്റിയാൽ അവൻ സകലത്തിന്നും കുറ്റക്കാരനായിത്തീർന്നു.

English: For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you are become a transgressor of the law.

Malayalam: വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചവൻ കുല ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നും കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നീ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും കുല ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ലംഘിക്കുന്നവനായിത്തീർന്നു.

English: So speak all of you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Malayalam: സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താൽ വിധിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ളവരെപ്പോലെ സംസാരിക്കയും പ്രവർത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

English: For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.

Malayalam: കരുണ കാണിക്കാത്തവന്നു കരുണയില്ലാത്ത ന്യായവിധി ഉണ്ടാകും; കരുണ ന്യായവിധിയെ ജയിച്ചു പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു.

English: What does it profit, my brethren, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഒരുത്തൻ തനിക്കു വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറകയും പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ ഉപകാരം എന്തു? ആ വിശ്വാസത്താൽ അവൻ രക്ഷ പ്രാപിക്കുമോ?

English: If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

Malayalam: ഒരു സഹോദരനോ, സഹോദരിയോ നഗ്നരും അഹോവൃത്തിക്കു വക ഇല്ലാത്ത വരുമായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ അവരോടു:

English: And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be all of you warmed and filled; notwithstanding all of you give them not those things which are necessary to the body; what does it profit?

Malayalam: സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോയി തീ കായുകയും വിശപ്പടക്കുകയും ചെയ്‍വിൻ എന്നു പറയുന്നതല്ലാതെ ദേഹരക്ഷെക്കു ആവശ്യമുള്ളതു അവർക്കു കൊടുക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ ഉപകാരം എന്തു?

English: Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ വിശ്വാസവും പ്രവൃത്തികളില്ലാത്തതായാൽ സ്വതവെ നിർജ്ജീവമാകുന്നു.

English: Yea, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഒരുത്തൻ: നിനക്കു വിശ്വാസം ഉണ്ടു; എനിക്കു പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറയുമായിരിക്കും. നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം പ്രവൃത്തികൾ കൂടാതെ കാണിച്ചുതരിക; ഞാനും എന്റെ വിശ്വാസം പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ കാണിച്ചു തരാം.

English: You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Malayalam: ദൈവം ഏകൻ എന്നു നീ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ; കൊള്ളാം; പിശാചുകളും അങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും വിറെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Malayalam: വ്യർത്ഥമനുഷ്യാ, പ്രവൃത്തിയില്ലാത്ത വിശ്വാസം നിഷ്ഫലമെന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു മനസ്സുണ്ടോ?

English: Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

Malayalam: നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ അബ്രാഹാം തന്റെ മകനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ അർപ്പിച്ചിട്ടു പ്രവൃത്തിയാൽ അല്ലയോ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു?

English: See you how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Malayalam: അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയോടുകൂടെ വിശ്വാസം വ്യാപരിച്ചു എന്നും പ്രവൃത്തിയാൽ വിശ്വാസം പൂർണ്ണമായി എന്നും നീ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും അതു അവന്നു നീതിയായി കണക്കിടുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു നിവൃത്തിയായി അവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്നേഹിതൻ എന്നു പേർ പ്രാപിച്ചു.

English: All of you see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യൻ വെറും വിശ്വാസത്താലല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ തന്നേ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നു.

English: Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

Malayalam: അവ്വണ്ണം രാഹാബ് എന്ന വേശ്യയും ദൂതരെ കൈക്കൊൾകയും വേറൊരു വഴിയായി പറഞ്ഞയക്കയും ചെയ്തതിൽ പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ അല്ലയോ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു?

English: For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ ആത്മാവില്ലത്ത ശരീരം നിർജ്ജീവമായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ പ്രവൃത്തിയില്ലാത്ത വിശ്വാസവും നിർജ്ജീവമാകുന്നു.
