Jeremiah 10

English: Hear all of you the word which the LORD speaks unto you, O house of Israel:

Malayalam: യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്ന വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ!

English: Thus says the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ജാതികളുടെ വഴി പഠിക്കരുതു; ആകാശത്തിലെ ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കരുതു; ജാതികൾ അല്ലോ അവ കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കുന്നതു.

English: For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

Malayalam: ജാതികളുടെ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തിയെ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഒരുവൻ കാട്ടിൽനിന്നു വെട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്ന മരവും ആശാരി വാച്ചികൊണ്ടു ചെയ്ത പണിയും അത്രേ.

English: They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Malayalam: അവർ അതിനെ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നുംകൊണ്ടു അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഇളകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ അതിനെ ആണിയും ചുറ്റികയുംകൊണ്ടു ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must essentially be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

Malayalam: അവ വെള്ളരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ തൂണുപോലെയാകുന്നു; അവ സംസാരിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവെക്കു നടപ്പാൻ വഹിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവയെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു പോകേണം; അവയെ ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; ഒരു ദോഷവും ചെയ്‍വാൻ അവെക്കു കഴികയില്ല; ഗുണം ചെയ്‍വാനും അവെക്കു പ്രാപ്തിയില്ല.

English: Forasmuch as there is none like unto you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നിന്നോടു തുല്യനായവൻ ആരുമില്ല; നീ വലിയവനും നിന്റെ നാമം ബലത്തിൽ വലിയതും ആകുന്നു.

English: Who would not fear you, O King of nations? in order to you does it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto you.

Malayalam: ജാതികളുടെ രാജാവേ, ആർ നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടാതെയിരിക്കും? അതു നിനക്കു യോഗ്യമല്ലോ; ജാതികളുടെ സകല ജ്ഞാനികളിലും അവരുടെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളിലും നിന്നോടു തുല്യനായവൻ ആരും ഇല്ല.

English: But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.

Malayalam: അവർ ഒരുപോലെ മൃഗപ്രായരും ഭോഷന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളുടെ ഉപദേശമോ മരമുട്ടിയത്രേ.

English: Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.

Malayalam: തർശീശിൽനിന്നുകൊണ്ടു വന്ന വെള്ളിയും ഊഫാസിൽനിന്നുള്ള പൊന്നും അടിച്ചുപരത്തുന്നു; അതു കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരന്റെയും തട്ടാന്റെയും കൈപ്പണിതന്നേ; നീലവും രക്താംബരവും അവയുടെ ഉടുപ്പു; അവയൊക്കെയും കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരുടെ പണി അത്രേ.

English: But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

Malayalam: യഹോവയോ സത്യദൈവം; അവൻ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവവും ശാശ്വതരാജാവും തന്നേ; അവന്റെ ക്രോധത്താൽ ഭൂമി നടുങ്ങുന്നു; ജാതികൾക്കു അവന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം സഹിപ്പാൻ കഴികയുമില്ല.

English: Thus shall all of you say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

Malayalam: ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും നിർമ്മിക്കാത്ത ദേവന്മാരോ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നും ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽനിന്നും നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരോടു പറവിൻ.

English: He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ ഭൂമിയെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു, തന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്താൽ ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു, തന്റെ വിവേകത്താൽ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിച്ചു.

English: When he utters his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings with rain, and brings forth the wind out of his treasures.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ നാദം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആകാശത്തു വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു അവൻ ആവി കയറ്റുന്നു; മഴെക്കു മിന്നൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കി തന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽനിന്നു കാറ്റു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.

English: Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

Malayalam: ഏതു മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗപ്രായനും പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ലാത്തവനും ആകുന്നു; തട്ടാന്മാരൊക്കെയും വിഗ്രഹംനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; അവർ വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹം വ്യാജമത്രേ; അവയിൽ ശ്വാസവുമില്ല.

English: They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

Malayalam: അവ മായയും വ്യർത്ഥ പ്രവൃർത്തിയും തന്നേ; സന്ദർശനകാലത്തു അവ നശിച്ചുപോകും.

English: The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബിന്റെ ഓഹരിയായവൻ അവയെപ്പോലെയല്ല; അൻ സർവ്വത്തെയും നിർമ്മിച്ചവൻ; യിസ്രായേൽ അവന്റെ അവകാശഗോത്രം; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നാകുന്നു അവന്റെ നാമം.

English: Gather up your wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress.

Malayalam: നിരോധത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവളേ, നിലത്തു നിന്നു നിന്റെ ഭാണ്ഡം എടുത്തുകൊൾക.

English: For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.

Malayalam: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ഈ തവണ ദേശത്തിലെ നിവാസികളെ കവിണയിൽവെച്ചെറിഞ്ഞുകളകയും അവർക്കു പറ്റുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

English: Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous; but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പരിക്കുനിമിത്തം എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! എന്റെ മുറിവു വ്യസനകരമാകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ: അതു എന്റെ ദീനം! ഞാൻ അതു സഹിച്ചേ മതിയാവു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone out of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

Malayalam: എന്റെ കൂടാരം കവർച്ചയായ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കയറു ഒക്കെയും അറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ മക്കൾ എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോയി; അവർ ഇല്ലാതായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി എന്റെ കൂടാരം അടിപ്പാനും തിരശ്ശീല നിവിർക്കുവാനും ആരുമില്ല.

English: For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Malayalam: ഇടയന്മാർ മൃഗപ്രായരായ്തീർന്നു; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ കൃതാർത്ഥരായില്ല; അവരുടെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടം ഒക്കെയും ചിതറിപ്പോയി.

English: Behold, the noise of the bruit has come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.

Malayalam: കേട്ടോ, ഒരു ശ്രുതി: ഇതാ, യെഹൂദപട്ടണങ്ങളെ ശൂന്യവും കുറുക്കന്മാരുടെ പാർപ്പിടവും ആക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു വടക്കുനിന്നു ഒരു മഹാകോലാഹലവുമായി വരുന്നു.

English: O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, മനുഷ്യന്നു തന്റെ വഴിയും നടക്കുന്നവന്നു തന്റെ കാലടികളെ നേരെ ആക്കുന്നതും സ്വാധീനമല്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

English: O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in yours anger, lest you bring me to nothing.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ഇല്ലാതെയായ്പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്നെ കോപത്തോടെയല്ല ന്യായത്തോടെയത്രേ ശിക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

English: Pour out your fury upon the heathen that know you not, and upon the families that call not on your name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.

Malayalam: നിന്നെ അറിയാത്ത ജാതികളുടെമേലും നിന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കാത്ത വംശങ്ങളുടെമേലും നിന്റെ ക്രോധം പകരേണമേ; അവർ യാക്കോബിനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; അവർ അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങി നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
