Jeremiah 40

English: The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.

Malayalam: അകമ്പടിനായകനായ നെബൂസർ-അദാൻ യിരെമ്യാവെ രാമയിൽനിന്നു വിട്ടയച്ചശേഷം അവന്നു യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു. ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയവരായ യെരൂശലേമിലെയും യെഹൂദയിലെയും സകലബദ്ധന്മാരുടെയും കൂട്ടത്തിൽ അവനെയും ചങ്ങലകൊണ്ടു ബന്ധിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD your God has pronounced this evil upon this place.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അകമ്പടിനായകൻ യിരെമ്യാവെ വരുത്തി അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഈ അനർത്ഥം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

English: Now the LORD has brought it, and done according as he has said: because all of you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing has come upon you.

Malayalam: അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യഹോവ വരുത്തി നിവർത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയോടു പാപം ചെയ്തു അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ കാര്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കു സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And now, behold, I loose you this day from the chains which were upon yours hand. If it seem good unto you to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto you: but if it seem ill unto you to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before you: where it seems good and convenient for you to go, thither go.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോൾ, ഇതാ, നിന്റെ കൈമേലുള്ള ചങ്ങല ഞാൻ ഇന്നു അഴിച്ചു നിന്നെ വിട്ടയക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടു കൂടെ ബാബേലിൽ പോരുവാൻ നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ പോരിക; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നോക്കും എന്നോടുകൂടെ ബാബേലിൽ പോരുവാൻ അനിഷ്ടം തോന്നിയാലോ പോരേണ്ടാ; ഇതാ, ദേശമൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടവും യോഗ്യവുമായി തോന്നുന്ന ഇടത്തേക്കു പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക.

English: Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go where ever it seems convenient unto you to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.

Malayalam: അവൻ വിട്ടുപോകുംമുമ്പെ അവൻ പിന്നെയും: ബാബേൽരാജാവു യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കു അധിപതിയാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകൻ ഗെദല്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നീ ചെന്നു അവനോടു കൂടെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ പാർക്ക; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള ഇടത്തേക്കു പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അകമ്പടിനായകൻ വഴിച്ചിലവും സമ്മാനവും കൊടുത്തു അവനെ യാത്ര അയച്ചു.

English: Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യിരെമ്യാവു മിസ്പയിൽ അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെദല്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽചെന്നു, അവനോടുകൂടെ ദേശത്തു ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ പാർത്തു.

English: Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

Malayalam: ബാബേൽരാജാവു അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെദല്യാവെ ദേശാധിപതിയാക്കിയെന്നും ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകാത്ത ദേശത്തിലെ എളിയവരായ പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും പൈതങ്ങളെയും അവനെ ഏല്പിച്ചു എന്നും നാട്ടുപുറത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാപടത്തലവന്മാരും അവരുടെ ആളുകളും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ,

English: Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

Malayalam: അവർ മിസ്പയിൽ ഗെദല്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു: നെഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേൽ, കാരേഹിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ യോഹാനാനും യോനാഥാനും തൻ ഹൂമെത്തിന്റെ പുത്രനായ സെരായാവും നെട്ടോഫാഥ്യനായ എഫായിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ, മയഖാഥ്യന്റെ മകനായ യെസന്യാവു എന്നിവരും അവരുടെ ആളുകളും തന്നേ.

English: And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

Malayalam: ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകൻ ഗെദല്യാവു അവരോടും അവരുടെ ആളുകളോടും സത്യം ചെയ്തു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങൾ കല്ദയരെ സേവിപ്പാൻ ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; ദേശത്തു പാർത്തു ബാബേൽരാജാവിനെ സേവിപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നന്നായിരിക്കും;

English: As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but all of you, gather all of you wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that all of you have taken.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്ന കല്ദയർക്കു ഉത്തരവാദിയായി മിസ്പയിൽ വസിക്കും; നിങ്ങളോ വീഞ്ഞും പഴവും എണ്ണയും ശേഖരിച്ചു, പാത്രങ്ങളിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു, നിങ്ങൾ കൈവശമാക്കിയ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ പാർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ.

English: Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ മോവാബിലും അമ്മോന്യരുടെ ഇടയിലും എദോമിലും മറ്റു ദേശങ്ങളിലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാ യെഹൂദന്മാരും ബാബേൽരാജാവു യെഹൂദയിൽ ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പിനെ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകൻ ഗെദല്യാവെ അവർക്കു അധിപതിയാക്കീട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ

English: Even all the Jews returned out of all places where they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.

Malayalam: സകല യെഹൂദന്മാരും അവർ ചിതറിപ്പോയിരുന്ന സകല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും മടങ്ങി യെഹൂദാദേശത്തു ഗെദല്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മിസ്പയിൽ വന്നു വീഞ്ഞും പഴവും അനവധിയായി ശേഖരിച്ചു.

English: Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ കാരേഹിന്റെ മകനായ യോഹാനാനും നാട്ടുപുറത്തു പാർത്തിരുന്ന എല്ലാപടത്തലവന്മാരും മിസ്പയിൽ ഗെദല്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു:

English: And said unto him, Do you certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay you? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.

Malayalam: നിന്നെ കൊന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു അമ്മോന്യരുടെ രാജാവായ ബാലീസ് നെഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലിനെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെദല്യാവോ അവരുടെ വാക്കു വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

English: Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly saying, Let me go, I pray you, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: wherefore should he slay you, that all the Jews which are gathered unto you should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ കാരേഹിന്റെ മകനായ യോഹാനാൻ മിസ്പയിൽവെച്ചു ഗെദല്യാവോടു രഹസ്യമായി സംസാരിച്ചു: ഞാൻ ചെന്നു ആരും അറിയാതെ നെഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലിനെ കൊന്നുകളയട്ടെ; നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ യെഹൂദന്മാരും ചിതറിപ്പോകുവാനും യെഹൂദയിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവർ നശിച്ചുപോകുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, You shall not do this thing: for you speak falsely of Ishmael.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകൻ ഗെദല്യാവു കാരേഹിന്റെ മകൻ യോഹാനാനോടു: നീ ഈ കാര്യം ചെയ്യരുതു; നീ യിശ്മായേലിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഭോഷ്കു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
