John 19

English: Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം പീലാത്തൊസ് യേശുവിനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി വാറുകൊണ്ടു അടിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And the soldiers intertwined a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,

Malayalam: പടയാളികൾ മുള്ളുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു കിരീടം മെടഞ്ഞു അവന്റെ തലയിൽ വെച്ചു ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രം ധിരിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they stroke him with their hands.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവേ, ജയ ജയ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ കന്നത്തടിച്ചു.

English: Pilate therefore went forth again, and says unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that all of you may know that I find no fault in him.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് പിന്നെയും പുറത്തു വന്നു: ഞാൻ അവനിൽ ഒരു കുറ്റവും കാണുന്നില്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഇതാ, പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate says unto them, Behold the man!

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യേശു മുൾക്കിരീടവും ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രവും ധരിച്ചു പുറത്തു വന്നു. പീലാത്തൊസ് അവരോടു: ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ഇതാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate says unto them, Take all of you him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

Malayalam: മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ചേവകരും അവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ: ക്രൂശിക്ക, ക്രൂശിക്ക, എന്നു ആർത്തുവിളിച്ചു. പീലാത്തൊസ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി ക്രൂശിപ്പിൻ: ഞാനോ അവനിൽ കുറ്റം കാണുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

Malayalam: യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉണ്ടു; അവൻ തന്നെത്താൻ ദൈവപുത്രൻ ആക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു ആ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം അവൻ മരിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;

Malayalam: ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടിട്ടു പീലാത്തൊസ് ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെട്ടു,

English: And went again into the judgment hall, and says unto Jesus, Whence are you? But Jesus gave him no answer.

Malayalam: പിന്നെയും ആസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ചെന്നു; നീ എവിടെ നിന്നു ആകുന്നു എന്നു യേശുവിനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Then says Pilate unto him, Speak you not unto me? know you not that I have power to crucify you, and have power to release you?

Malayalam: യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല. പീലാത്തൊസ് അവനോടു: നീ എന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? എനിക്കു നിന്നെ ക്രൂശിപ്പാൻ അധികാരമുണ്ടെന്നും, നിന്നെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ അധികാരമുണ്ടെന്നും നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശു അവനോടു:

English: Jesus answered, You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above: therefore he that delivered me unto you has the greater sin.

Malayalam: മേലിൽനിന്നു നിനക്കു കിട്ടീട്ടില്ല എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ മേൽ നിനക്കു ഒരധികാരവും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ലായിരുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഏല്പിച്ചവന്നു അധികം പാപം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend: whosoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.

Malayalam: ഇതു നിമിത്തം പീലാത്തൊസ് അവനെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു. യഹൂദന്മാരോ: നീ ഇവനെ വിട്ടയച്ചാൽ കൈസരുടെ സ്നേഹിതൻ അല്ല; തന്നെത്താൻ രാജാവാക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം കൈസരോടു മത്സരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു ആർത്തു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

Malayalam: ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടിട്ടു പീലാത്തൊസ് യേശുവിനെ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു, കല്ത്തളമെന്നും എബ്രായ ഭാഷയിൽ ഗബ്ബഥാ എന്നും പേരുള്ള സ്ഥലത്തു ന്യായാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു.

English: And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he says unto the Jews, Behold your King!

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ പെസഹയുടെ ഒരുക്കനാൾ ഏകദേശം ആറാം മണിനേരം ആയിരുന്നു. അവൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു ഇതാ നിങ്ങളുടെ രാജാവു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate says unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Malayalam: അവരോ: കൊന്നുകളക, കൊന്നുകളക; അവനെ ക്രൂശിക്ക എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു. നിങ്ങളുടെ രാജാവിനെ ഞാൻ ക്രൂശിക്കേണമോ എന്നു പീലാത്തൊസ് അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു; അതിന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർ: ഞങ്ങൾക്കു കൈസരല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു രാജാവില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവനെ ക്രൂശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

English: And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

Malayalam: അവർ യേശുവിനെ കയ്യേറ്റു; അവൻ താൻ തന്നേ ക്രൂശിനെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു എബ്രായഭാഷയിൽ ഗൊല്ഗൊഥാ എന്നു പേരുള്ള തലയോടിടം എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോയി.

English: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

Malayalam: അവിടെ അവർ അവനെയും അവനോടു കൂടെ വേറെ രണ്ടു ആളുകളെയും ഒരുത്തനെ അപ്പുറത്തും ഒരുത്തനെ ഇപ്പുറത്തും യേശുവിനെ നടവിലുമായി ക്രൂശിച്ചു.

English: And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് ഒരു മേലെഴുത്തും എഴുതി ക്രൂശിന്മേൽ പതിപ്പിച്ചു; അതിൽ: നസറായനായ യേശു യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരുന്നു.

English: This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

Malayalam: യേശുവിനെ ക്രൂശിച്ച സ്ഥലം നഗരത്തിന്നു സമീപം ആകയാൽ അനേകം യെഹൂദന്മാർ ഈ മേലെഴുത്തു വായിച്ചു. അതു എബ്രായ റോമ യവന ഭാഷകളിൽ എഴുതിയിരുന്നു.

English: Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർ പീലാത്തൊസിനോടു: യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവു എന്നല്ല, ഞാൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നത്രേ എഴുതേണ്ടതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു പീലാത്തൊസ്: ഞാൻ എഴുതിയതു എഴുതി എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

Malayalam: പടയാളികൾ യേശുവിനെ ക്രൂശിച്ച ശേഷം അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം എടുത്തു ഓരോ പടയാളിക്കു ഓരോ പങ്കായിട്ടു നാലു പങ്കാക്കി; അങ്കിയും എടുത്തു; അങ്കിയോ തുന്നൽ ഇല്ലാതെ മേൽതൊട്ടു അടിയോളം മുഴുവനും നെയ്തതായിരുന്നു.

English: They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which says, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

Malayalam: ഇതു കീറരുതു; ആർക്കു വരും എന്നു ചീട്ടിടുക എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. എന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അവർ പകുത്തെടുത്തു എന്റെ അങ്കിക്കായി ചീട്ടിട്ടു എന്നുള്ളതിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു ഇതിനാൽ നിവൃത്തി വന്നു. പടയാളികൾ ഇങ്ങനെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തു.

English: Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

Malayalam: യേശുവിന്റെ ക്രൂശിന്നരികെ അവന്റെ അമ്മയും അമ്മയുടെ സഹോദരിയും ക്ളെയോപ്പാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യ മറിയയും മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയയും നിന്നിരുന്നു.

English: When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he says unto his mother, Woman, behold your son!

Malayalam: യേശു തന്റെ അമ്മയും താൻ സ്നേഹിച്ച ശിഷ്യനും നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു: സ്ത്രീയേ, ഇതാ നിന്റെ മകൻ എന്നു അമ്മയോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then says he to the disciple, Behold your mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യനോടു: ഇതാ നിന്റെ അമ്മ എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. ആ നാഴികമുതൽ ആ ശിഷ്യൻ അവളെ തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.

English: After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, says, I thirst.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സകലവും തികഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യേശു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു തിരുവെഴുത്തു നിവൃത്തിയാകുംവണ്ണം: എനിക്കു ദാഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

Malayalam: അവിടെ പുളിച്ച വീഞ്ഞു നിറഞ്ഞോരു പാത്രം വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവർ ഒരു സ്പോങ്ങ് പുളിച്ചവീഞ്ഞു നിറെച്ചു ഈസോപ്പുതണ്ടിന്മേൽ ആക്കി അവന്റെ വായോടു അടുപ്പിച്ചു.

English: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the spirit.

Malayalam: യേശു പുളിച്ചവീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചശേഷം: നിവൃത്തിയായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തല ചായ്ച്ചു ആത്മാവിനെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

English: The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Malayalam: അന്നു ഒരുക്കനാളും ആ ശബ്ബത്ത് നാൾ വലിയതും ആകകൊണ്ടു ശരീരങ്ങൾ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ക്രൂശിന്മേൽ ഇരിക്കരുതു എന്നുവെച്ചു അവരുടെ കാൽ ഒടിച്ചു എടുപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ പീലാത്തൊസിനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ പടയാളികൾ വന്നു ഒന്നാമത്തവന്റെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട മറ്റെവന്റെയും കാൽ ഒടിച്ചു.

English: But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

Malayalam: അവർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു, അവൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു കാൺകയാൽ അവന്റെ കാൽ ഒടിച്ചില്ല.

English: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും പടയാളികളിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ കുന്തംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ വിലാപ്പുറത്തു കുത്തി; ഉടനെ രക്തവും വെള്ളവും പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

English: And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knows that he says true, that all of you might believe.

Malayalam: ഇതു കണ്ടവൻ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങളും വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു താൻ സത്യം പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അറിയുന്നു.

English: For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

Malayalam: “അവന്റെ ഒരു അസ്ഥിയും ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല” എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തു നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചു.

English: And again another scripture says, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Malayalam: “അവർ കുത്തിയവങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കും” എന്നു മറ്റൊരു തിരുവെഴുത്തും പറയുന്നു.

English: And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം, യെഹൂദന്മാരെ പേടിച്ചിട്ടു രഹസ്യത്തിൽ യേശുവിന്റെ ഒരു ശിഷ്യനായിരുന്ന അരിമത്യയിലെ യോസേഫ് യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാൻ പീലാത്തൊസിനോടു അനുവാദം ചോദിച്ചു. പീലാത്തൊസ് അനുവദിക്കയാൽ അവൻ വന്നു അവന്റെ ശരീരം എടുത്തു.

English: And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.

Malayalam: ആദ്യം രാത്രിയിൽ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന നിക്കൊദേമൊസും ഏകദേശം നൂറുറാത്തൽ മൂറും അകിലും കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഒരു കൂട്ടു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

English: Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

Malayalam: അവർ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം എടുത്തു യെഹൂദന്മാർ ശവം അടക്കുന്ന മര്യാദപ്രകാരം അതിനെ സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗത്തോടുകൂടെ ശീലപൊതിഞ്ഞു കെട്ടി.

English: Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new tomb, wherein was never man yet laid.

Malayalam: അവനെ ക്രൂശിച്ച സ്ഥലത്തുതന്നേ ഒരു തോട്ടവും ആ തോട്ടത്തിൽ മുമ്പെ ആരെയും വെച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത പുതിയോരു കല്ലറയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the tomb was nigh at hand.

Malayalam: ആ കല്ലറ സമീപം ആകകൊണ്ടു അവർ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരുക്കനാൾ നിമിത്തം യേശുവിനെ അവിടെ വച്ചു.
