English: When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

Malayalam: യേശു യോഹന്നാനെക്കാൾ അധികം ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ചേർത്തു സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പരീശന്മാർ കേട്ടു എന്നു കർത്താവു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ —

English: (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അല്ലാതെ, യേശു തന്നേ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചില്ലതാനും —

English: He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

Malayalam: അവൻ യെഹൂദ്യദേശം വിട്ടു പിന്നെയും ഗലീലെക്കു യാത്രയായി.

English: And he must essentially go through Samaria.

Malayalam: അവൻ ശമര്യയിൽകൂടി കടന്നുപോകേണ്ടിവന്നു.

English: Then comes he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ അവൻ സുഖാർ എന്നൊരു ശമര്യപട്ടണത്തിൽ യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പുത്രനായയോസേഫിന്നു കൊടുത്ത നിലത്തിന്നരികെ എത്തി.

English: Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

Malayalam: അവിടെ യാക്കോബിന്റെ ഉറവുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. യേശു വഴി നടന്നു ക്ഷീണിച്ചിട്ടു ഉറവിന്നരികെ ഇരുന്നു; അപ്പോൾ ഏകദേശം ആറാം മണിനേരം ആയിരുന്നു.

English: There comes a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus says unto her, Give me to drink.

Malayalam: ഒരു ശമര്യസ്ത്രീ വെള്ളം കോരുവാൻ വന്നു; യേശു അവളോടു: “എനിക്കു കുടിപ്പാൻ തരുമോ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy food.)

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളെ കൊള്ളുവാൻ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പോയിരുന്നു.

English: Then says the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

Malayalam: ശമര്യസ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: നീ യെഹൂദൻ ആയിരിക്കെ ശമര്യക്കാരത്തിയായ എന്നോടു കുടിപ്പാൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യെഹൂദന്മാർക്കും ശമര്യർക്കും തമ്മിൽ സമ്പർക്കമില്ല —

English: Jesus answered and said unto her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, Give me to drink; you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു: “നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനവും നിന്നോടു കുടിപ്പാൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരെന്നും അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ നീ അവനോടു ചോദിക്കയും അവൻ ജീവനുള്ള വെള്ളം നിനക്കു തരികയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: The woman says unto him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then have you that living water?

Malayalam: സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: യജമാനനേ, നിനക്കു കോരുവാൻ പാത്രം ഇല്ലല്ലോ; കിണറു ആഴമുള്ളതാകുന്നു; പിന്നെ ജീവനുള്ള വെള്ളം നിനക്കു എവിടെ നിന്നു?

English: Are you greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Malayalam: നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ യാക്കോബിനെക്കാൾ നീ വലിയവനോ? അവൻ ആകുന്നു ഈ കിണറു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നതു; അവനും അവന്റെ മക്കളും മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇതിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിച്ചു പോന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again:

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു: “ഈ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കുന്നവന്നു എല്ലാം പിന്നെയും ദാഹിക്കും.

English: But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കൊടുക്കുന്ന വെള്ളം കുടിക്കുന്നവന്നോ ഒരുനാളും ദാഹിക്കയില്ല; ഞാൻ കൊടുക്കുന്ന വെള്ളം അവനിൽ നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കു പൊങ്ങിവരുന്ന നീരുറവായിത്തീരും” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: The woman says unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come here to draw.

Malayalam: സ്ത്രീ അവനാടു: യജമാനനേ, എനിക്കു ദാഹിക്കാതെയും ഞാൻ കോരുവാൻ ഇവിടത്തോളം വരാതെയുമിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആ വെള്ളം എനിക്കു തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto her, Go, call your husband, and come here.

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു: “പോയി ഭർത്താവിനെ വിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവരിക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, You have well said, I have no husband:

Malayalam: എനിക്കു ഭർത്താവു ഇല്ല എന്നു സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: “എനിക്കു ഭർത്താവു ഇല്ല എന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞതു ശരി.

English: For you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband: in that said you truly.

Malayalam: അഞ്ചു ഭർത്താക്കന്മാർ നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ ഉള്ളവനോ ഭർത്താവല്ല; നീ പറഞ്ഞതു സത്യം തന്നേ” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: The woman says unto him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

Malayalam: സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: യജമാനനേ, നീ പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു.

English: Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and all of you say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഈ മലയിൽ നമസ്കരിച്ചുവന്നു; നമസ്കരിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന സ്ഥലം യെരൂശലേമിൽ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when all of you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “സ്ത്രീയേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു വിശ്വസിക്ക; നിങ്ങൾ പിതാവിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നതു ഈ മലയിലും അല്ല യെരൂശലേമിലും അല്ല എന്നുള്ള നാഴിക വരുന്നു.

English: All of you worship all of you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്തതിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങളോ അറിയുന്നതിനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നു; രക്ഷ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നല്ലോ വരുന്നതു.

English: But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.

Malayalam: സത്യനമസ്കാരികൾ പിതാവിനെ ആത്മാവിലും സത്യത്തിലും നമസ്കരിക്കുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു. തന്നേ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നവർ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ ആയിരിക്കേണം എന്നു പിതാവു ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

English: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Malayalam: ദൈവം ആത്മാവു ആകുന്നു; അവനെ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നവർ ആത്മാവിലും സത്യത്തിലും നമസ്കരിക്കേണം.

English: The woman says unto him, I know that Messiah comes, which is called Christ: when he has come, he will tell us all things.

Malayalam: സ്ത്രീ അവനോടു: മശീഹ — എന്നുവെച്ചാൽ ക്രിസ്തു — വരുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; അവൻ വരുമ്പോൾ സകലവും അറിയിച്ചുതരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto her, I that speak unto you am he.

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു: “നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഞാൻ തന്നേ മശീഹ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seek you? or, Why talk you with her?

Malayalam: ഇതിന്നിടയിൽ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വന്നു അവൻ സ്ത്രീയോടു സംസാരിക്കയാൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു എങ്കിലും: നീ എന്തു ചോദിക്കുന്നു? അവളോടു എന്തു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ആരും ചോദിച്ചില്ല.

English: The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and says to the men,

Malayalam: അനന്തരം സ്ത്രീ പാത്രം വെച്ചിട്ടു പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെന്നു ജനങ്ങളോടു:

English: Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ വന്നുകാണ്മിൻ; അവൻ പക്ഷേ ക്രിസ്തു ആയിരിക്കുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

Malayalam: അവർ പട്ടണത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.

English: In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

Malayalam: അതിന്നിടയിൽ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: റബ്ബീ, ഭക്ഷിച്ചാലും എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: But he said unto them, I have food to eat that all of you know not of.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: “നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്ത ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു ഉണ്ടു” എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Therefore said the disciples one to another, Has any man brought him ought to eat?

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ വല്ലവനും അവന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവോ എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto them, My food is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്തു അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി തികെക്കുന്നതു തന്നെ എന്റെ ആഹാരം.

English: Say not all of you, There are yet four months, and then comes harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Malayalam: ഇനി നാലു മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു കൊയ്ത്തു വരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങൾ തല പൊക്കി നോക്കിയാൽ നിലങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ കൊയ്ത്തിന്നു വെളുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു കാണും” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: And he that reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit unto life eternal: that both he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together.

Malayalam: “വിതെക്കുന്നവനും കൊയ്യുന്നവനും ഒരുമിച്ചു സന്തോഷിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം കൊയ്യുന്നവൻ കൂലി വാങ്ങി നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കു വിളവു കൂട്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.

English: And herein is that saying true, One sows, and another reaps.

Malayalam: വിതെക്കുന്നതു ഒരുത്തൻ, കൊയ്യുന്നതു മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ എന്നുള്ള പഴഞ്ചൊൽ ഇതിൽ ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: I sent you to reap that whereon all of you bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and all of you are entered into their labours.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതു കൊയ്‍വാൻ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; മറ്റുള്ളവർ അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചു; അവരുടെ അദ്ധ്വാനഫലത്തിലേക്കു നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും അവൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു സ്ത്രീ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു നിമിത്തം ആ പട്ടണത്തിലെ പല ശമര്യരും അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

English: So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ ശമര്യർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു തങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ പാർക്കേണം എന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; അവൻ രണ്ടുനാൾ അവിടെ പാർത്തു.

English: And many more believed because of his own word;

Malayalam: ഏറ്റവും അധികംപേർ അവന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു വിശ്വസിച്ചു:

English: And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of your saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Malayalam: ഇനി നിന്റെ വാക്കുകൊണ്ടല്ല ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതു; ഞങ്ങൾ തന്നേ കേൾക്കയും അവൻ സാക്ഷാൽ ലോകരക്ഷിതാവു എന്നു അറികയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സ്ത്രീയോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

Malayalam: രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ അവിടം വിട്ടു ഗലീലെക്കു പോയി.

English: For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet has no honour in his own country.

Malayalam: പ്രവാചകന്നു തന്റെ പിതൃദേശത്തു ബഹുമാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു യേശു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

English: Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഗലീലയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഗലീലക്കാർ തങ്ങളും പെരുന്നാളിന്നു പോയി അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽവെച്ചു പെരുനാളിൽ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ അംഗീകരിച്ചു.

English: So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

Malayalam: അവൻ പിന്നെയും താൻ വെള്ളം വീഞ്ഞാക്കിയ ഗലീലയിലെ കാനാവിൽ വന്നു. അന്നു മകൻ രോഗിയായിരുന്നോരു രാജഭൃത്യൻ കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

Malayalam: യേശു യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഗലീലയിൽ വന്നു എന്നു അവൻ കേട്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു, തന്റെ മകൻ മരിപ്പാറായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവൻ വന്നു അവനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: Then said Jesus unto him, Except all of you see signs and wonders, all of you will not believe.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “നിങ്ങൾ അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും കണ്ടിട്ടല്ലാതെ വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: The nobleman says unto him, Sir, come down before my child die.

Malayalam: രാജഭൃത്യൻ അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, പൈതൽ മരിക്കുംമുമ്പേ വരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto him, Go your way; your son lives. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; നിന്റെ മകൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു വിശ്വസിച്ചു ആ മനുഷ്യൻ പോയി.

English: And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Your son lives.

Malayalam: അവൻ പോകയിൽ അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു മകൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

Malayalam: അവന്നു ഭേദം വന്ന നാഴിക അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ അവനോടു: ഇന്നലെ ഏഴുമണിക്കു പനി വിട്ടുമാറി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Your son lives: and himself believed, and his whole house.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നിന്റെ മകൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ എന്നു അപ്പൻ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു താനും കുടുംബം ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

English: This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

Malayalam: യേശു യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ നിന്നു ഗലീലയിൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ ഇതു രണ്ടാമത്തെ അടയാളമായിട്ടു ചെയ്തു.
