Judges 5

English: Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,

English: Praise all of you the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

Malayalam: നായകന്മാർ യിസ്രായേലിനെ നയിച്ചതിന്നും ജനം സ്വമേധയാ സേവിച്ചതിന്നും യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിൻ.

English: Hear, O all of you kings; give ear, O all of you princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.

Malayalam: രാജാക്കന്മാരേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരേ, ചെവിതരുവിൻ; ഞാൻ പാടും യഹോവെക്കു ഞാൻ പാടും; യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു കീർത്തനം ചെയ്യും.

English: LORD, when you went out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നീ സേയീരിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുകയിൽ, ഏദോമ്യദേശത്തുകൂടി നീ നടകൊൾകയിൽ, ഭൂമി കുലുങ്ങി, ആകാശം പൊഴിഞ്ഞു, മേഘങ്ങൾ വെള്ളം ചൊരിഞ്ഞു,

English: The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

Malayalam: യഹോവാസന്നിധിയിൽ മലകൾ കുലുങ്ങി, യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു മുമ്പിൽ ആ സീനായി തന്നേ.

English: In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways.

Malayalam: അനാത്തിൻ പുത്രനാം ശംഗരിൻ നാളിലും, യായേലിൻ കാലത്തും പാതകൾ ശൂന്യമായി. വഴിപോക്കർ വളഞ്ഞ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നു.

English: The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

Malayalam: ദെബോരയായ ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുംവരെ, യിസ്രായേലിൽ മാതാവായെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുംവരെ നായകന്മാർ യിസ്രായേലിൽ അശേഷം അറ്റുപോയിരുന്നു.

English: They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?

Malayalam: അവർ നൂതനദേവന്മാരെ വരിച്ചു; ഗോപുരദ്വാരത്തിങ്കൽ യുദ്ധംഭവിച്ചു. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നാല്പതിനായിരത്തിൻ മദ്ധ്യേ പരിചയും കുന്തവും കണ്ടതേയില്ല.

English: My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless all of you the LORD.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ഹൃദയം യിസ്രായേൽനായകന്മാരോടു പറ്റുന്നു; ജനത്തിലെ സ്വമേധാസേവകരേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിൻ.

English: Speak, all of you that ride on white asses, all of you that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.

Malayalam: വെള്ളക്കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു കയറുന്നവരേ, പരവതാനികളിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവരേ, കാൽനടയായി പോകുന്നവരേ, വർണ്ണിപ്പിൻ!

English: They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

Malayalam: വില്ലാളികളുടെ ഞാണൊലിയോടകലേ നീർപ്പാത്തിക്കിടയിൽ അവിടെ അവർ യഹോവയുടെ നീതികളെ യിസ്രായേലിലെ ഭരണനീതികളെ കഥിക്കും. യഹോവയുടെ ജനം അന്നു ഗോപുരദ്വാരത്തിങ്കൽ ചെന്നു.

English: Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead your captivity captive, you son of Abinoam.

Malayalam: ഉണരുക, ഉണരുക, ദെബോരയേ, ഉണരുക, ഉണർന്നു, പാട്ടുപാടുക. എഴുന്നേൽക്ക, ബാരാക്കേ, അബീനോവാമാത്മജാ. നിന്റെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോക.

Malayalam: അന്നു ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരുടെ ശിഷ്ടവും പടജ്ജനവും ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു. വീരന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ യഹോവയും എനിക്കായി ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു.

English: Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after you, Benjamin, among your people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.

Malayalam: എഫ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു അമാലേക്കിൽ വേരുള്ളവരും, ബെന്യാമീനേ, നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ നിന്റെ ജനസമൂഹത്തിൽ മാഖീരിൽനിന്നു അധിപന്മാരും സെബൂലൂനിൽനിന്നു നായകദണ്ഡധാരികളും വന്നു.

English: And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.

Malayalam: യിസ്സാഖാർ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ദെബോരയോടുകൂടെ യിസ്സാഖാർ എന്നപോലെ ബാരാക്കും താഴ്വരയിൽ അവനോടുകൂടെ ചാടി പുറപ്പെട്ടു. രൂബേന്റെ നീർച്ചാലുകൾക്കരികെ ഘനമേറിയ മനോനിർണ്ണയങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി.

English: Why abode you among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

Malayalam: ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്കരികെ കുഴലൂത്തു കേൾപ്പാൻ നീ തൊഴുത്തുകൾക്കിടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്നതെന്തു? രൂബേന്റെ നീർച്ചാലുകൾക്കരികെ ഘനമേറിയ മനോനിർണ്ണയങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി.

English: Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.

Malayalam: ഗിലെയാദ് യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ പാർത്തു. ദാൻ കപ്പലുകൾക്കരികെ താമസിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ആശേർ സമുദ്രതീരത്തു അനങ്ങാതിരുന്നു തുറമുഖങ്ങൾക്കകത്തു പാർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeopardized their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

Malayalam: സെബൂലൂൻ പ്രാണനെ ത്യജിച്ച ജനം; നഫ്താലി പോർക്കളമേടുകളിൽ തന്നേ.

English: The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

Malayalam: രാജാക്കന്മാർ വന്നു പൊരുതു: താനാക്കിൽവെച്ചു മെഗിദ്ദോവെള്ളത്തിന്നരികെ കനാന്യഭൂപന്മാർ അന്നു പൊരുതു, വെള്ളിയങ്ങവർക്കു കൊള്ളയായില്ല.

English: They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

Malayalam: ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ പൊരുതു അവ സീസെരയുമായി സ്വഗതികളിൽ പൊരുതു.

English: The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, you have trodden down strength.

Malayalam: കീശോൻ തോടു പുരാതനനദിയാം കീശോൻ തോടു തള്ളിയങ്ങവരെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി. എൻ മനമേ, നീ ബലത്തോടെ നടകൊൾക.

English: Then were the horse-hoofs broken by the means of the prancings, the prancings of their mighty ones.

Malayalam: അന്നു വല്ഗിതത്താൽ, ശൂരവല്ഗിതത്താൽ കുതിരകൂളമ്പുകൾ ഘട്ടനം ചെയ്തു.

English: Curse all of you Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse all of you bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

Malayalam: മേരോസ് നഗരത്തെ ശപിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ, അതിൻ നിവാസികളെ ഉഗ്രമായി ശപിപ്പിൻ എന്നു യഹോവാദൂതൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. അവർ യഹോവെക്കു തുണയായി വന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ശൂരന്മാർക്കെതിരെ യഹോവെക്കു തുണയായി തന്നേ.

English: Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

Malayalam: കേന്യനാം ഹേബേരിൻ ഭാര്യയാം യായേലോ നാരീജനത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹം ലഭിച്ചവൾ, കൂടാരവാസിനീജനത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹം ലഭിച്ചവൾ.

English: He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

Malayalam: തണ്ണീർ അവൻ ചോദിച്ചു, പാൽ അവൾ കൊടുത്തു; രാജകീയപാത്രത്തിൽ അവൾ ക്ഷീരം കൊടുത്തു.

English: She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer; and with the hammer she stroke Sisera, she stroke off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

Malayalam: കുറ്റിയെടുപ്പാൻ അവൾ കൈനീട്ടി തന്റെ വലങ്കൈ പണിക്കാരുടെ ചുറ്റികെക്കുനീട്ടി; സീസെരയെ തല്ലി അവന്റെ തല തകർത്തു അവന്റെ ചെന്നി കുത്തിത്തുളെച്ചു.

English: At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down: at her feet he bowed, he fell: where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

Malayalam: അവളുടെ കാൽക്കൽ അവൻ കുനിഞ്ഞുവീണു, അവളുടെ കാൽക്കൽ അവൻ കുനിഞ്ഞുവീണു കിടന്നു; കുനിഞ്ഞേടത്തു തന്നേ അവൻ ചത്തുകിടന്നു.

English: The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?

Malayalam: സീസെരയുടെ അമ്മ കിളിവാതിലൂടെ കുനിഞ്ഞുനിന്നു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ജാലകത്തൂടെ വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞിതു: അവന്റെ തേർ വരുവാൻ വൈകുന്നതു എന്തു? രഥചക്രങ്ങൾക്കു താമസം എന്തു?

English: Her wise ladies answered her, yea, she returned answer to herself,

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനമേറിയ നായകിമാർ അതിന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു; താനും തന്നോടു മറുപടി ആവർത്തിച്ചു:

English: Have they not succeeded? have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of divers colours, a prey of divers colours of needlework, of divers colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?

Malayalam: കിട്ടിയ കൊള്ള അവർ പങ്കിടുകയല്ലെയോ? ഓരോ പുരുഷന്നു ഒന്നും രണ്ടും പെണ്ണുങ്ങൾ, സീസെരെക്കു കൊള്ള വിചിത്രവസ്ത്രം വിചിത്രത്തയ്യലായ കൊള്ളയും കൂടെ. കൊള്ളക്കാരുടെ കഴുത്തിൽ വിചിത്രശീല ഈരണ്ടു കാണും.

English: So let all yours enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ ഒക്കെയും ഇവ്വണം നശിക്കട്ടെ. അവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരോ സൂര്യൻ പ്രതാപത്തോടെ ഉദിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ. പിന്നെ ദേശത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടായി.
