Mark 4

English: And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.

Malayalam: അവൻ പിന്നെയും കടൽക്കരെവെച്ചു ഉപദേശിപ്പാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അപ്പോൾ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു കൂടുകകൊണ്ടു അവൻ പടകിൽ കയറി കടലിൽ ഇരുന്നു; പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും കടലരികെ കരയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,

Malayalam: അവൻ ഉപമകളാൽ അവരെ പലതും ഉപദേശിച്ചു, ഉപദേശത്തിൽ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു:

English: Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

Malayalam: “കേൾപ്പിൻ; വിതെക്കുന്നവൻ വിതെപ്പാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

English: And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

Malayalam: വിതെക്കുമ്പോൾ ചിലതു വഴിയരികെ വിണു; പറവകൾ വന്നു അതു തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

English: And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

Malayalam: മറ്റു ചിലതു പാറസ്ഥലത്തു ഏറെ മണ്ണില്ലാത്തേടത്തു വീണു; മണ്ണിന്നു താഴ്ച ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ മുളെച്ചുവന്നു.

English: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

Malayalam: സൂര്യൻ ഉദിച്ചാറെ ചൂടു തട്ടി, വേരില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

Malayalam: മറ്റു ചിലതു മുള്ളിന്നിടയിൽ വീണു; മുള്ളു മുളെച്ചു വളർന്നു അതിനെ ഞെരുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അതു വിളഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

English: And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

Malayalam: മറ്റു ചിലതു നല്ലമണ്ണിൽ വീണിട്ടു മുളെച്ചു വളർന്നു ഫലം കൊടുത്തു; മുപ്പതും അറുപതും നൂറും മേനി വിളഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto them, He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

Malayalam: “കേൾപ്പാൻ ചെവി ഉള്ളവൻ കേൾക്കട്ടെ” എന്നും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം അവൻ തനിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ളവൻ പന്തിരുവരുമായി ആ ഉപമകളെക്കുറിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Malayalam: അവരോടു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ മർമ്മം നിങ്ങൾക്കു നല്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; പുറത്തുള്ളവർക്കോ സകലവും ഉപമകളാൽ ലഭിക്കുന്നു.”

English: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Malayalam: അവർ മനംതിരിയാതെയും അവരോടു ക്ഷമിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവർ കണ്ടിട്ടും അറിയാതിരിപ്പാനും കേട്ടിട്ടും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതിരിപ്പാനും സംഗതിവരും.

English: And he said unto them, Know all of you not this parable? and how then will all of you know all parables?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ഈ ഉപമ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? പിന്നെ മറ്റെ ഉപമകൾ ഒക്കെയും എങ്ങനെ ഗ്രഹിക്കും?”

English: The sower sows the word.

Malayalam: “വിതെക്കുന്നവൻ വചനം വിതെക്കുന്നു.

English: And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan comes immediately, and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Malayalam: വചനം വിതച്ചിട്ടു വഴിയരികെ വീണതു, കേട്ട ഉടനെ സാത്താൻ വന്നു ഹൃദയങ്ങളിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ട വചനം എടുത്തുകളയുന്നതാകുന്നു.

English: And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ പാറസ്ഥലത്തു വിതെച്ചതു വചനം കേട്ട ഉടനെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവർ;

English: And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും അവർ ഉള്ളിൽ വേരില്ലാതെ ക്ഷണികന്മാർ ആകുന്നു; വചനം നിമിത്തം ഉപദ്രവമോ പീഡയോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു.

English: And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

Malayalam: മുള്ളിന്നിടയിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു

English: And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

Malayalam: ഇഹലോകത്തിന്റെ ചിന്തകളും ധനത്തിന്റെ വഞ്ചനയും മറ്റുവിഷയ മോഹങ്ങളും അകത്തു കടന്നു, വചനത്തെ ഞെരുക്കി നഷ്ഫലമാക്കി തീർക്കുന്നതാകുന്നു.

English: And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Malayalam: നല്ലമണ്ണിൽ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ വചനം കേൾക്കയും അംഗീകരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ തന്നേ; അവർ മുപ്പതും അറുപതും നൂറും മേനി വിളയുന്നു.”

English: And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “വിളക്കു കത്തിച്ചു പറയിൻ കീഴിലോ കട്ടിൽക്കീഴിലോ വെക്കുമാറുണ്ടോ? വിളക്കുതണ്ടിന്മേലല്ലയോ വെക്കുന്നതു?

English: For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

Malayalam: വെളിപ്പെടുവാനുള്ളതല്ലാതെ ഗൂഢമായതു ഒന്നും ഇല്ല; വെളിച്ചത്തു വരുവാനുള്ളതല്ലാതെ മറവായതു ഒന്നും ഇല്ല.

English: If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

Malayalam: കേൾപ്പാൻ ചെവി ഉള്ളവൻ കേൾക്കട്ടെ.

English: And he said unto them, Take heed what all of you hear: with what measure all of you mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു സൂക്ഷിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ അളക്കുന്ന അളവു കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കും അളന്നുകിട്ടും; അധികമായും കിട്ടും.

English: For he that has, to him shall be given: and he that has not, from him shall be taken even that which he has.

Malayalam: ഉള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടോ ഉള്ളതുംകൂടെ എടുത്തുകളയും” എന്നും അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “ദൈവരാജ്യം ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ മണ്ണിൽ വിത്തു എറിഞ്ഞശേഷം

English: And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how.

Malayalam: രാവും പകലും ഉറങ്ങിയും എഴുന്നേറ്റും ഇരിക്കെ അവൻ അറിയാതെ വിത്തു മുളെച്ചു വളരുന്നതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു.

English: For the earth brings forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

Malayalam: ഭൂമി സ്വയമായി മുമ്പെ ഞാറും പിന്നെ കതിരും പിന്നെ കതിരിൽ നിറഞ്ഞ മണിയും ഇങ്ങനെ വിളയുന്നു.

English: But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.

Malayalam: ധാന്യം വിളയുമ്പോൾ കൊയ്ത്തായതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ ഉടനെ അരിവാൾ വെക്കുന്നു.”

English: And he said, Unto which shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ എങ്ങനെ ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു? ഏതു ഉപമയാൽ അതിനെ വർണ്ണിക്കേണ്ടു?

English: It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:

Malayalam: അതു കടുകുമണിയോടു സദൃശം; അതിനെ മണ്ണിൽ വിതെക്കുമ്പോൾ ഭൂമിയിലെ എല്ലാവിത്തിലും ചെറിയതു.

English: But when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും വിതെച്ചശേഷം വളർന്നു, സകലസസ്യങ്ങളിലും വലുതായിത്തീർന്നു, ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾ അതിന്റെ നിഴലിൽ വസിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വലുതായ കൊമ്പുകളെ വിടുന്നു.

English: And with many such parables spoke he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പല ഉപമകളാൽ അവർക്കു കേൾപ്പാൻ കഴിയുംപോലെ അവരോടു വചനം പറഞ്ഞുപോന്നു.

English: But without a parable spoke he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Malayalam: ഉപമ കൂടാതെ അവരോടു ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞതുമില്ല; തനിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു സകലവും വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കും.

English: And the same day, when the even was come, he says unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

Malayalam: അന്നു സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോൾ: “നാം അക്കരെക്കു പോക” എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു

English: And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

Malayalam: അവർ പുരുഷാരത്തെ വിട്ടു, താൻ പടകിൽഇരുന്നപാടെ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി; മറ്റു ചെറുപടകുകളും കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു;

English: And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ വലിയ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു ഉണ്ടായി: പടകിൽ തിര തള്ളിക്കയറുകകൊണ്ടു അതു മുങ്ങുമാറായി.

English: And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, care you not that we perish?

Malayalam: അവൻ അമരത്തു തലയണ വെച്ചു ഉറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു; അവർ അവനെ ഉണർത്തി: ഗുരോ, ഞങ്ങൾ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നതിൽ നിനക്കു വിചാരം ഇല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Malayalam: അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു കാറ്റിനെ ശാസിച്ചു, കടലിനോടു: “അനങ്ങാതിരിക്ക, അടങ്ങുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കാറ്റു അമർന്നു, വലിയ ശാന്തത ഉണ്ടായി.

English: And he said unto them, Why are all of you so fearful? how is it that all of you have no faith?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങൾ ഇങ്ങനെ ഭീരുക്കൾ ആകുവാൻ എന്തു? നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇപ്പോഴും വിശ്വാസമില്ലയോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Malayalam: അവർ വളരെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു: കാറ്റും കടലും കൂടെ ഇവനെ അനുസരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; ഇവൻ ആർ എന്നു തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
