Matthew 15

English: Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു പരീശന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു:

English: Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പൂർവ്വന്മാരുടെ സമ്പ്രദായം ലംഘിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ കൈ കഴുകുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

English: But he answered and said unto them, Why do all of you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പ്രദായംകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവകല്പന ലംഘിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: For God commanded, saying, Honour your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.

Malayalam: അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നും അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ ദുഷിക്കുന്നവൻ മരിക്കേണം എന്നും ദൈവം കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

English: But all of you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever you might be profited by me;

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളോ ഒരുത്തൻ അപ്പനോടു എങ്കിലും അമ്മയോടു എങ്കിലും: നിനക്കു എന്നാൽ ഉപകാരമായി വരേണ്ടതു വഴിപാടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ

English: And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have all of you made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

Malayalam: അവൻ അപ്പനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറയുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പ്രദായത്താൽ നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവവചനത്തെ ദുർബ്ബലമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: All of you hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,

Malayalam: കപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു യെശയ്യാവു:

English: This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Malayalam: “ഈ ജനം അധരം കൊണ്ടു എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം എന്നെ വിട്ടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Malayalam: മാനുഷകല്പനകളായ ഉപദേശങ്ങളെ അവർ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വ്യർത്ഥമായി ഭജിക്കുന്നു” എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രവചിച്ചതു ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തെ അരികെ വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ.

English: Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യന്നു അശുദ്ധിവരുത്തുന്നതു വായിക്കകത്തു ചെല്ലുന്നതു അല്ല, വായിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതത്രേ; അതു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.”

English: Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Know you that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അടുക്കെ വന്നു: പരീശന്മാർ ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഇടറിപ്പോയി എന്നു അറിയുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: “സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവു നട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത തൈ ഒക്കെയും വേരോടെ പറിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

English: Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Malayalam: അവരെ വിടുവിൻ; അവർ കുരുടന്മാരായ വഴികാട്ടികൾ അത്രേ; കുരുടൻ കുരുടനെ വഴിനടത്തിയാൽ ഇരുവരും കുഴിയിൽ വീഴും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.

Malayalam: പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു: ആ ഉപമ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus said, Are all of you also yet without understanding?

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങളും ഇന്നുവരെ ബോധമില്ലാത്തവരോ?

English: Do not all of you yet understand, that whatsoever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

Malayalam: വായിക്കകത്തു കടക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വയറ്റിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു മറപ്പുരയിൽ പോകുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

English: But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Malayalam: വായിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതോ ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു; അതു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.

English: For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Malayalam: എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ ദുശ്ചിന്ത, കുലപാതകം, വ്യഭിചാരം, പരസംഗം, മോഷണം, കള്ളസാക്ഷ്യം, ദൂഷണം എന്നിവ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു.

English: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നതു ഇതത്രേ; കഴുകാത്ത കൈകൊണ്ടു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതോ മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നില്ല.”

English: Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

Malayalam: യേശു അവിടം വിട്ടു, സോർ സീദോൻ എന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Malayalam: ആ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു കനാന്യസ്ത്രീ വന്നു, അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, ദാവീദ്പുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ; എന്റെ മകൾക്കു ഭൂതോപദ്രവം കഠിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവളോടു ഒരു വാക്കും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അടുക്കെ, വന്നു: അവൾ നമ്മുടെ പിന്നാലെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു; അവളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണമേ എന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: “യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹത്തിലെ കാണാതെപോയ ആടുകളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കല്ലാതെ എന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവൾ വന്നു: കർത്താവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

English: But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Malayalam: അവനോ: “മക്കളുടെ അപ്പം എടുത്തു നായകൂട്ടികൾക്കു ഇട്ടുകൊടുക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൾ: അതേ, കർത്താവേ, നായക്കുട്ടികളും ഉടയവരുടെ മേശയിൽ നിന്നു വീഴുന്ന നുറുക്കുകൾ തിന്നുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is your faith: be it unto you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Malayalam: യേശു അവളോടു: “സ്ത്രീയേ, നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം വലിയതു; നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. ആ നാഴികമുതൽ അവളുടെ മകൾക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

English: And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.

Malayalam: യേശു അവിടെ നിന്നു യാത്രയായി ഗലീലക്കടലരികെ ചെന്നു മലയിൽ കയറി അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു.

English: And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, physically disabled, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

Malayalam: വളരെ പുരുഷാരം മുടന്തർ, കുരുടർ, ഊമർ, കൂനർ മുതലായ പലരെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ വെച്ചു; അവൻ അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി;

English: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the physically disabled to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Malayalam: ഊമർ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതും കൂനർ സൌഖ്യമാകുന്നതും മുടന്തർ നടക്കുന്നതും കുരുടർ കാണുന്നതും പുരുഷാരം കണ്ടിട്ടു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

English: Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കെവിളിച്ചു: “ഈ പുരുഷാരം ഇപ്പോൾ മൂന്നു നാളായി എന്നോടുകൂടെ പാർക്കുന്നു; അവർക്കു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്കു മനസ്സലിവു തോന്നുന്നു; അവരെ പട്ടിണിയായി വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ മനസ്സുമില്ല; അവർ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു തളർന്നുപോയേക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഇത്ര വലിയ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുവാൻ മതിയായ അപ്പം ഈ കാട്ടിൽ നമുക്കു എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus says unto them, How many loaves have all of you? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.

Malayalam: “നിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ എത്ര അപ്പം ഉണ്ടു” എന്നു യേശു ചോദിച്ചു; ഏഴു; കുറെ ചെറുമീനും ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.

Malayalam: അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തോടു നിലത്തു ഇരിപ്പാൻ കല്പിച്ചു,

English: And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

Malayalam: ആ ഏഴു അപ്പവും മീനും എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ പക്കലും ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നും കൊടുത്തു.

English: And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken food that was left seven baskets full.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി; ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം അവർ ഏഴു വട്ടി നിറെച്ചെടുത്തു.

English: And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.

Malayalam: തിന്നവരോ സ്ത്രീകളെയും പൈതങ്ങളെയും കൂടാതെ നാലായിരം പുരുഷന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു പടകിൽ കയറി മഗദാദേശത്തു എത്തി.
