Matthew 26

English: And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,

Malayalam: ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞു തീർന്നശേഷം യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു:

English: All of you know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Malayalam: “രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പെസഹ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; അന്നു മനുഷ്യ പുത്രനെ ക്രൂശിപ്പാൻ ഏല്പിക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

Malayalam: അന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും കയ്യഫാമഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ വന്നു കൂടി.

English: And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him.

Malayalam: യേശുവിനെ ഉപായത്താൽ പിടിച്ചു കൊല്ലുവാൻ ആലോചിച്ചു;

English: But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും ജനത്തിൽ കലഹമുണ്ടാകാതിരിപ്പാൻ പെരുനാളിൽ അരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,

Malayalam: യേശു ബേഥാന്യയിൽ കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായിരുന്ന ശീമോന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ

English: There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at food.

Malayalam: ഒരു സ്ത്രീ വിലയേറിയ പരിമളതൈലം നിറഞ്ഞ ഒരു വെണ്കൽഭരണി എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു, അവൻ പന്തിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതു അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ഒഴിച്ചു.

English: But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു മുഷിഞ്ഞു: ഈ വെറും ചെലവു എന്തിന്നു?

English: For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Malayalam: ഇതു വളരെ വിലെക്കു വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രർക്കു കൊടുക്കാമായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble all of you the woman? for she has wrought a good work upon me.

Malayalam: യേശു അതു അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു: “സ്ത്രീയെ അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്തു? അവൾ എങ്കൽ നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ ചെയ്തതു.

English: For all of you have the poor always with you; but me all of you have not always.

Malayalam: ദരിദ്രർ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഉണ്ടു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലായ്പേഴും ഇല്ലതാനും.

English: For in that she has poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

Malayalam: അവൾ ഈ തൈലം എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന്മേൽ ഒഴിച്ചതു എന്റെ ശവസംസ്ക്കാരത്തിന്നായി ചെയ്തതാകുന്നു.

English: Verily I say unto you, Where ever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman has done, be told for a memorial of her.

Malayalam: ലോകത്തിൽ എങ്ങും, ഈ സുവിശേഷം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നേടത്തെല്ലാം, അവൾ ചെയ്തതും അവളുടെ ഓർമ്മെക്കായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

Malayalam: അന്നു പന്തിരുവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായ യൂദാ ഈസ്കര്യോത്താവു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു:

English: And said unto them, What will all of you give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു തരും? ഞാൻ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുതരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു: അവർ അവന്നു മുപ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശു തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

English: And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Malayalam: അന്നു മുതൽ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാൻ അവൻ തക്കം അന്വേഷിച്ചു പോന്നു.

English: Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where will you that we prepare for you to eat the passover?

Malayalam: പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാളിൽ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നീ പെസഹ കഴിപ്പാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കേണ്ടതു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master says, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at your house with my disciples.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങൾ നഗരത്തിൽ ഇന്നവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: എന്റെ സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശിഷ്യരുമായി നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പെസഹ കഴിക്കും എന്നു ഗുരു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറവിൻ.”

English: And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

Malayalam: ശിഷ്യന്മാർ യേശു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു പെസഹ ഒരുക്കി.

English: Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

Malayalam: സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോൾ അവൻ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പന്തിയിൽ ഇരുന്നു.

English: And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

Malayalam: അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ: “നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവൻ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവർ അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിച്ചു: ഞാനോ, ഞാനോ, കർത്താവേ, എന്നു ഓരോരുത്തൻ പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങി.

English: And he answered and said, He that dips his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “എന്നോടുകൂടെ കൈ താലത്തിൽ മുക്കുന്നവൻ തന്നേ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

English: The Son of man goes as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Malayalam: തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യ പുത്രൻ പോകുന്നു സത്യം; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നോ ഹാ കഷ്ടം; ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ജനിക്കാതിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവന്നു കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.”

English: Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, You have said.

Malayalam: എന്നാറെ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന യൂദാ: ഞാനോ, റബ്ബീ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: “നീ തന്നേ” എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

Malayalam: അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്തു: “വാങ്ങി ഭക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; ഇതു എന്റെ ശരീരം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink all of you all of it;

Malayalam: പിന്നെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം ചൊല്ലി അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു: “എല്ലാവരും ഇതിൽ നിന്നു കുടിപ്പിൻ.

English: For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Malayalam: ഇതു അനേകർക്കുവേണ്ടി പാപമോചനത്തിന്നായി ചൊരിയുന്ന പുതിയ നിയമത്തിന്നുള്ള എന്റെ രക്തം;

English: But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പുതുതായി കുടിക്കുംനാൾവരെ ഞാൻ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ ഈ അനുഭവത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഇനി കുടിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവർ സ്തോത്രം പാടിയശേഷം ഒലീവ് മലെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി.

English: Then says Jesus unto them, All you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു: “ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും എങ്കൽ ഇടറും; ഞാൻ ഇടയനെ വെട്ടും; കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ആടുകൾ ചിതറിപ്പോകും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

English: But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം നിങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പായി ഗലീലെക്കു പോകും.”

English: Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of you, yet will I never be offended.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു പത്രൊസ്; എല്ലാവരും നിങ്കൽ ഇടറിയാലും ഞാൻ ഒരുനാളും ഇടറുകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, That this night, before the cock crow, you shall deny me three times.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ കോഴി കൂകുംമുമ്പെ നീ മൂന്നുവട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Malayalam: നിന്നോടു കൂടെ മരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറകയില്ല എന്നു പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അതുപോലെ തന്നേ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then comes Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and says unto the disciples, Sit all of you here, while I go and pray yonder.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം യേശു അവരുമായി ഗെത്ത്ശെമന എന്ന തോട്ടത്തിൽ വന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “ഞാൻ അവിടെ പോയി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു വരുവോളം ഇവിടെ ഇരിപ്പിൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,

English: And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Malayalam: പത്രൊസിനെയും സെബെദി പുത്രന്മാർ ഇരുവരെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു ദുഃഖിച്ചും വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടും തുടങ്ങി:

English: Then says he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry all of you here, and watch with me.

Malayalam: “എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മരണവേദനപോലെ അതിദുഃഖിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ചു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ” എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അല്പം മുമ്പോട്ടുചെന്നു കവിണ്ണുവീണു: “പിതാവേ, കഴിയും എങ്കിൽ ഈ പാനപാത്രം എങ്കൽ നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അല്ല, നീ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ ആകട്ടെ” എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

English: And he comes unto the disciples, and finds them asleep, and says unto Peter, What, could all of you not watch with me one hour?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു, അവർ ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു കണ്ടു, പത്രൊസിനോടു: “എന്നോടു കൂടെ ഒരു നാഴികപോലും ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ?

English: Watch and pray, that all of you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Malayalam: പരീക്ഷയിൽ അകപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഉണർന്നിരുന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ; ആത്മാവു ഒരുക്കമുള്ളതു, ജഡമോ ബലഹീനമത്രേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, your will be done.

Malayalam: രണ്ടാമതും പോയി: “പിതാവേ, ഞാൻ കുടിക്കാതെ അതു നീങ്ങിക്കൂടാ എങ്കിൽ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ആകട്ടെ” എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

English: And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം അവൻ വന്നു, അവർ കണ്ണിന്നു ഭാരം ഏറുകയാൽ പിന്നെയും ഉറങ്ങുന്നതുകണ്ടു.

English: And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Malayalam: അവരെ വിട്ടു മൂന്നാമതും പോയി ആ വചനം തന്നേ ചൊല്ലി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

English: Then comes he to his disciples, and says unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: “ഇനി ഉറങ്ങി ആശ്വസിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ; നാഴിക അടുത്തു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ പാപികളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു;

English: Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that does betray me.

Malayalam: എഴുന്നേല്പിൻ, നാം പോക; ഇതാ, എന്നെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And while he yet spoke, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Malayalam: അവൻ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ പന്തിരുവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായ യൂദയും അവനോടു കൂടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും അയച്ച വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരവും വാളും വടികളുമായി വന്നു.

English: Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Malayalam: അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ; ഞാൻ ഏവനെ ചുംബിക്കുമോ അവൻ തന്നേ ആകുന്നു; അവനെ പിടിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു അവർക്കു ഒരു അടയാളം കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

English: And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: റബ്ബീ, വന്ദനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ചുംബിച്ചു.

English: And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore are you come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “സ്നേഹിതാ, നീ വന്ന കാര്യം എന്തു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവർ അടുത്തു യേശുവിന്മേൽ കൈ വെച്ചു അവനെ പിടിച്ചു.

English: And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and stroke off his ear.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെയുള്ളവരിൽ ഒരുവൻ കൈ നീട്ടി വാൾ ഊരി, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസനെ വെട്ടി അവന്റെ കാതു അറുത്തു.

English: Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again your sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “വാൾ ഉറയിൽ ഇടുക; വാൾ എടുക്കുന്നവർ ഒക്കെയും വാളാൽ നശിച്ചുപോകും.

English: Think you that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Malayalam: എന്റെ പിതാവിനോടു ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ലെഗ്യോനിലും അധികം ദൂതന്മാരെ എന്റെ അരികെ നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ?

English: But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾക്കു എങ്ങനെ നിവൃത്തിവരും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are all of you come out as against a thief with swords and staves in order to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and all of you laid no hold on me.

Malayalam: ആ നാഴികയിൽ യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോടു: “ഒരു കള്ളന്റെ നേരെ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ പിടിപ്പാൻ വാളും വടിയുമായി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ദിവസേന ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ പിടിച്ചില്ല.

English: But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഇതു ഒക്കെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ എഴുത്തുകൾ നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു സംഭവിച്ചു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ വിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോയി.

English: And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

Malayalam: യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചവരോ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫായുടെ അടുക്കൽ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടിയിരുന്നേടത്തു അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

English: But Peter followed him far off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് ദൂരവെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അരമനയോളം പിൻചെന്നു, അകത്തു കടന്നു അവസാനം കാണ്മാൻ സേവകന്മാരോടുകൂടി ഇരുന്നു

English: Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

Malayalam: മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും യേശുവിനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചു;

English: But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

Malayalam: കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികൾ പലരും വന്നിട്ടും പറ്റിയില്ല.

English: And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

Malayalam: ഒടുവിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ വന്നു: ദൈവമന്ദിരം പൊളിച്ചു മൂന്നു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു വീണ്ടും പണിവാൻ എനിക്കു കഴിയും എന്നു ഇവൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness against you?

Malayalam: മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവനോടു: നീ ഒരു ഉത്തരവും പറയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇവർ നിന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you be the Christ, the Son of God.

Malayalam: യേശുവോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു. മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ പിന്നെയും അവനോടു: നീ ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുതന്നേയോ? പറക എന്നു ഞാൻ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്നോടു ആണയിട്ടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus says unto him, You have said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall all of you see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു; ഇനി മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ സർവ്വശക്തന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നതും ആകാശമേഘങ്ങളെ വാഹനമാക്കി വരുന്നതും നിങ്ങൾ കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now all of you have heard his blasphemy.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ വസ്ത്രം കീറി: ഇവൻ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറഞ്ഞു; ഇനി സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നമുക്കു എന്തു ആവശ്യം? നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ദൈവദൂഷണം കേട്ടുവല്ലോ:

English: What think all of you? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: അവൻ മരണയോഗ്യൻ എന്നു അവർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others stroke him with the palms of their hands,

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവർ അവന്റെ മുഖത്തു തുപ്പി, അവനെ മുഷ്ടിചുരുട്ടി കുത്തി, ചിലർ അവനെ കന്നത്തടിച്ചു:

English: Saying, Prophesy unto us, you Christ, Who is he that stroke you?

Malayalam: ഹേ, ക്രിസ്തുവേ, നിന്നെ തല്ലിയതു ആർ എന്നു ഞങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, You also were with Jesus of Galilee.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് പുറത്തു നടുമുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നു. അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു വേലക്കാരത്തി വന്നു: നീയും ഗലീലക്കാരനായ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what you says.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു അവൻ: നീ പറയുന്നതു എനിക്കു തിരിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു എല്ലാവരും കേൾക്കെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പടിപ്പുരയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ മറ്റൊരുത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടു അവിടെയുള്ളവരോടു: ഇവനും നസറായനായ യേശുവിനോടു കൂടെയായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

English: And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

Malayalam: ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവൻ രണ്ടാമതും ആണയോടെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely you also are one of them; for your speech betrayed you.

Malayalam: അല്പനേരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവിടെ നിന്നവർ അടുത്തുവന്നു പത്രൊസിനോടു: നീയും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉള്ളവൻ സത്യം; നിന്റെ ഉച്ചാരണവും നിന്നെ വെളിവാക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പ്രാകുവാനും ആണയിടുവാനും തുടങ്ങി; ഉടനെ കോഴി കൂകി.

English: And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, you shall deny me three times. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Malayalam: എന്നാറെ: “കോഴി കൂകുമുമ്പേ നീ മൂന്നു വട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു പത്രൊസ് ഓർത്തു പുറത്തു പോയി അതി ദുഃഖത്തോടെ കരഞ്ഞു.
