Proverbs 16

English: The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

Malayalam: ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യന്നുള്ളവ; നാവിന്റെ ഉത്തരമോ യഹോവയാൽ വരുന്നു.

English: All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weights the spirits.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യന്നു തന്റെ വഴികളൊക്കെയും വെടിപ്പായി തോന്നുന്നു; യഹോവയോ ആത്മാക്കളെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നു.

English: Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ യഹോവെക്കു സമർപ്പിക്ക; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ സാധിക്കും.

English: The LORD has made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Malayalam: യഹോവ സകലത്തെയും തന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശത്തിന്നായി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അനർത്ഥദിവസത്തിന്നായി ദുഷ്ടനെയും കൂടെ.

English: Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Malayalam: ഗർവ്വമുള്ള ഏവനും യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; അവന്നു ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നതിന്നു ഞാൻ കയ്യടിക്കുന്നു.

English: By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

Malayalam: ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയുംകൊണ്ടു അകൃത്യം പരിഹരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; യഹോവാഭക്തികൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യർ ദോഷത്തെ വിട്ടകലുന്നു.

English: When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Malayalam: ഒരുത്തന്റെ വഴികൾ യഹോവെക്കു ഇഷ്ടമായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അവന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെയും അവനോടു ഇണക്കുന്നു.

English: Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

Malayalam: ന്യായരഹിതമായ വലിയ വരവിനെക്കാൾ നീതിയോടെയുള്ള അല്പം നല്ലതു.

English: A man's heart devises his way: but the LORD directs his steps.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയം തന്റെ വഴിയെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കാലടികളെയോ യഹോവ ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

English: A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth trangresses not in judgment.

Malayalam: രാജാവിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടു; ന്യായവിധിയിൽ അവന്റെ വായ് പിഴെക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

English: A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work.

Malayalam: ഒത്ത വെള്ളിക്കോലും ത്രാസും യഹോവെക്കുള്ളവ; സഞ്ചിയിലെ പടി ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാകുന്നു.

English: It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതു രാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും വെറുപ്പു; നീതികൊണ്ടല്ലോ സിംഹാസനം സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുന്നതു.

English: Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaks right.

Malayalam: നീതിയുള്ള അധരങ്ങൾ രാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും പ്രസാദം; നേർ പറയുന്നവനെ അവർ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

English: The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.

Malayalam: രാജാവിന്റെ ക്രോധം മരണദൂതന്നു തുല്യം; ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോ അതിനെ ശമിപ്പിക്കും.

English: In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.

Malayalam: രാജാവിന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശത്തിൽ ജീവൻ ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പ്രസാദം പിന്മഴെക്കുള്ള മേഘം പോലെയാകുന്നു.

English: How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Malayalam: തങ്കത്തെക്കാൾ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതു എത്ര നല്ലതു! വെള്ളിയെക്കാൾ വിവേകം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതു എത്ര ഉത്തമം!

English: The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keeps his way perserves his soul.

Malayalam: ദോഷം അകറ്റിനടക്കുന്നതു നേരുള്ളവരുടെ പെരുവഴി; തന്റെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

English: Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Malayalam: നാശത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ ഗർവ്വം; വീഴ്ചകൂ മുമ്പെ ഉന്നതഭാവം.

English: Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Malayalam: ഗർവ്വികളോടുകൂടെ കവർച്ച പങ്കിടുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ താഴ്മയുള്ളവരോടുകൂടെ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനായിരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

English: He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusts in the LORD, happy is he.

Malayalam: തിരുവചനം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ നന്മ കണ്ടെത്തും; യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

English: The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increases learning.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയൻ വിവേകി എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും; അധരമാധുര്യം വിദ്യയെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that has it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

Malayalam: വിവേകം വിവേകിക്കു ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു. ഭോഷന്മാരുടെ പ്രബോധനമോ ഭോഷത്വം തന്നേ.

English: The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ ഹൃദയം അവന്റെ വായെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾക്കു വിദ്യ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Malayalam: ഇമ്പമുള്ള വാക്കു തേൻ കട്ടയാകുന്നു; മനസ്സിന്നു മധുരവും അസ്ഥികൾക്കു ഔഷധവും തന്നേ;

English: There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Malayalam: ചിലപ്പോൾ ഒരു വഴി മനുഷ്യന്നു ചൊവ്വായി തോന്നുന്നു. അതിന്റെ അവസാനമോ മരണവഴികൾ അത്രേ.

English: He that labours labours for himself; for his mouth craves it of him.

Malayalam: പണിക്കാരന്റെ വിശപ്പു അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു പണി ചെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വായ് അവനെ അതിന്നായി നിർബ്ബന്ധിക്കുന്നു.

English: An ungodly man digs up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.

Malayalam: നിസ്സാരമനുഷ്യൻ പാതകം എന്ന കുഴികുഴിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ കത്തുന്ന തീ ഉണ്ടു.

English: A perverse man sows strife: and a whisperer separates chief friends.

Malayalam: വക്രതയുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ വഴക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ഏഷണിക്കാരൻ മിത്രങ്ങളെ ഭേദിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: A violent man entices his neighbour, and leads him into the way that is not good.

Malayalam: സഹാസക്കാരൻ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ വശീകരിക്കയും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത വഴിയിൽ നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: He shuts his eyes to devise perverse things: moving his lips he brings evil to pass.

Malayalam: കണ്ണു അടെക്കുന്നവൻ വക്രത നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; വപ്പു കടിക്കുന്നവൻ ദോഷം നിവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

English: The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.

Malayalam: നരച്ച തല ശോഭയുള്ള കിരീടമാകുന്നു; നീതിയുടെ മാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അതിനെ പ്രാപിക്കാം.

English: He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.

Malayalam: ദീർഘക്ഷമയുള്ളവൻ യുദ്ധവീരനിലും ജിതമാനസൻ പട്ടണം പിടിക്കുന്നവനിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ.

English: The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

Malayalam: ചീട്ടു മടിയിൽ ഇടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വിധാനമോ യഹോവയാലത്രേ.
