Acts 22

English: Men, brethren, and fathers, hear all of you my defence which I make now unto you.

Malayalam: സഹോദരന്മാരും പിതാക്കന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, എനിക്കു ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള പ്രതിവാദം കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ.

English: (And when they heard that he spoke in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he says,)

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ എബ്രായഭാഷയിൽ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവർ അധികം മൌനമായി നിന്നു. അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as all of you all are this day.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കിലിക്യയിലെ തർസൊസിൽ ജനിച്ച യെഹൂദനും ഈ നഗരത്തിൽ വളർന്നു ഗമാലിയേലിന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ ഇരുന്നു പിതാക്കനാരുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം സൂക്ഷ്മതയോടെ അഭ്യസിച്ചവനുമാകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ഇന്നു ഇരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ദൈവസേവയിൽ എരിവുള്ളവനായിരുന്നു.

English: And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ പുരുഷന്മാരെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും പിടിച്ചു കെട്ടി തടവിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചും ഈ മാർഗ്ഗക്കാരെ കൊല്ലുവാനും മടിക്കാതെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചുംവന്നു.

English: As also the high priest does bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, in order to be punished.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതനും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ സംഘം ഒക്കെയും എനിക്കു സാക്ഷികൾ; അവരോടു സഹോദരന്മാർക്കായി എഴുത്തു വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടു ദമസ്കൊസിൽ പാർക്കുന്നവരെയും പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടി ദണ്ഡനത്തിന്നായി യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവിടേക്കു യാത്രയായി.

English: And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ പ്രയാണം ചെയ്തു ദമസ്കൊസിനോടു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ ഏകദേശം ഉച്ചെക്കു പെട്ടെന്നു ആകശത്തുനിന്നു വലിയോരു വെളിച്ചം എന്റെ ചുറ്റും മിന്നി.

English: And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecute you me?

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നിലത്തു വീണു: ശൌലേ, ശൌലെ, നീ എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു എന്നോടു പറയുന്ന ഒരു ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു.

English: And I answered, Who are you, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute.

Malayalam: കർത്താവേ, നീ ആർ എന്നു ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: നീ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്ന നസറായനായ യേശു ആകുന്നു ഞാൻ എന്നു അവൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spoke to me.

Malayalam: എന്നോടു കൂടെയുള്ളവർ വെളിച്ചം കണ്ടു എങ്കിലും എന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടില്ല.

English: And I said, What shall I do, LORD? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told you of all things which are appointed for you to do.

Malayalam: കർത്താവേ ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചുതിന്നു കർത്താവു എന്നോടു; എഴുന്നേറ്റു ദമസ്കൊസിലേക്കു പോക; നീ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അവിടെ നിന്നോടു പറയും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.

Malayalam: ആ വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ തേജസ്സു ഹേതുവായിട്ടു കണ്ണു കാണായ്കയാൽ കൂടെയുള്ളവർ എന്നെ കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചു നടത്തി; അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ദമസ്കൊസിൽ എത്തി.

English: And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,

Malayalam: അവിടെ പാർക്കുന്ന സകല യെഹൂദന്മാരാലും നല്ല സാക്ഷ്യം കൊണ്ടവനായി ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം ഭക്തിയുള്ള പുരുഷനായ അനന്യാസ് എന്നൊരുത്തൻ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുനിന്നു;

English: Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive your sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.

Malayalam: സഹോദരനായ ശൌലെ, കാഴ്ചപ്രാപിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ആ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ ഞാൻ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു അവനെ കണ്ടു.

English: And he said, The God of our fathers has chosen you, that you should know his will, and see that Just One, and should hear the voice of his mouth.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവൻ എന്നോടു: നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം നിന്നെ തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അറിവാനും നീതിമാനായവനെ കാണ്മാനും അവന്റെ വായിൽ നിന്നും വചനം കേൾപ്പാനും നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: For you shall be his witness unto all men of what you have seen and heard.

Malayalam: നീ കാണ്കയും കേൾക്കയും ചെയ്തതിന്നു സകലമനുഷ്യർക്കും നീ അവന്റെ സാക്ഷിയായിത്തീരും.

English: And now why tarry you? arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Malayalam: ഇനി താമസിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവന്റെ നാം വിളിച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ കഴുകിക്കളക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നേരം ഒരു വിവശതയിൽ ആയി അവനെ കണ്ടു:

English: And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get you quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive your testimony concerning me.

Malayalam: നീ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു വേഗം യെരൂശലേം വിട്ടുപോക; നീ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സാക്ഷ്യം അവർ കൈക്കൊൾകയില്ല എന്നു എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചു

English: And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on you:

Malayalam: അതിന്നു ഞാൻ: കർത്താവേ, നിന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ തടവിൽ ആക്കുകയും പള്ളിതോറും അടിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു എന്നും

English: And when the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ സാക്ഷിയായ സ്തെഫാനൊസിന്റെ രക്തം ചൊരിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഞാനും സമ്മതിച്ചു അരികെ നിന്നു അവനെ കൊല്ലുന്നവരുടെ വസ്ത്രം കാത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു എന്നും അവർ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send you far behind unto the Gentiles.

Malayalam: അവൻ എന്നോടു: നീ പോക; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ദൂരത്തു ജാതികളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു അയക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

Malayalam: ഈ വാക്കോളം അവർ അവന്നു ചെവികൊടുത്തു; പിന്നെ: ഇങ്ങനെത്തവനെ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളക; അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു യോഗ്യമല്ല എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And as they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air,

Malayalam: അവർ കൂക്കലിട്ടും വസ്ത്രം കീറിക്കളഞ്ഞും പൂഴി വാരി മേലോട്ടു എറിഞ്ഞും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ

English: The chief captain commanded him to be brought into the castle, and bade that he should be examined by scourging; that he might know wherefore they cried so against him.

Malayalam: അവർ ഇങ്ങനെ അവന്റെ നേരെ ആർക്കുവാൻ സംഗതി എന്തു എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ചമ്മട്ടികൊണ്ടു അവനോടു ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു സഹസ്രാധിപൻ പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ കോട്ടയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു.

English: And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?

Malayalam: തന്നെ വാറു കൊണ്ടു കെട്ടുമ്പോൾ പൌലൊസ് അരികെ നില്ക്കുന്ന ശതാധിപനോടു: റോമപൌരനും വിസ്താരം കഴിയാത്തവനുമായ മനുഷ്യനെ ചമ്മട്ടി കൊണ്ടു അടിക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: When the centurion heard that, he went and told the chief captain, saying, Take heed what you do: for this man is a Roman.

Malayalam: ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ശതാധിപൻ ചെന്നു സഹസ്രാധിപനോടു: നീ എന്തു ചെയ്‍വാൻ പോകുന്നു? ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ റോമപൌരൻ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: Then the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell me, are you a Roman? He said, Yea.

Malayalam: സഹസ്രാധിപൻ വന്നു: നീ റോമപൌരൻ തന്നേയോ? എന്നോടു പറക എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു:

English: And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.

Malayalam: അതെ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ ഏറിയ മുതൽ കൊടുത്തു ഈ പൌരത്വം സമ്പാദിച്ചു എന്നു സഹസ്രാധിപൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: ഞാനോ അങ്ങനെ ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പൌലൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then immediately they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

Malayalam: ഭേദ്യം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഭാവിച്ചവർ ഉടനെ അവനെ വിട്ടുമാറി; സഹസ്രാധിപനും അവൻ റോമപൌരൻ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവനെ ബന്ധിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

English: On the next day, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he loosed him from his bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before them.

Malayalam: പിറ്റെന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ പൌലൊസിന്മേൽ ചുമത്തുന്ന കുറ്റത്തിന്റെ സൂക്ഷ്മം അറിവാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും കൂടി വരുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു അവനെ കെട്ടഴിച്ചു താഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നിറുത്തി.
