Job 28

English: Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.

Malayalam: വെള്ളിക്കു ഒരു ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനവും പൊന്നു ഊതിക്കഴിപ്പാൻ ഒരു സ്ഥലവും ഉണ്ടു.

English: Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.

Malayalam: ഇരിമ്പു മണ്ണിൽനിന്നെടുക്കുന്നു; കല്ലുരുക്കി ചെമ്പെടുക്കുന്നു.

English: He sets an end to darkness, and searches out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യൻ അന്ധകാരത്തിന്നു ഒരതിർ വെക്കുന്നു; കൂരിരുളിലെയും അന്ധതമസ്സിലെയും കല്ലിനെ അങ്ങേയറ്റംവരെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: The flood breaks out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.

Malayalam: പാർപ്പുള്ളേടത്തുനിന്നു ദൂരെ അവർ കുഴികുത്തുന്നു; കടന്നുപോകുന്ന കാലിന്നു അവർ മറന്നു പോയവർ തന്നേ; മനുഷ്യർക്കു അകലെ അവർ തൂങ്ങി ആടുന്നു.

English: As for the earth, out of it comes bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.

Malayalam: ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ആഹാരം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ അധോഭാഗം തീകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ മറിയുന്നു.

English: The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it has dust of gold.

Malayalam: അതിലെ പാറകൾ നീലരത്നത്തിന്റെ ഉല്പത്തിസ്ഥാനം; കനകപ്പൊടിയും അതിൽ ഉണ്ടു.

English: There is a path which no fowl knows, and which the vulture's eye has not seen:

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ പാത കഴുകൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; പരുന്തിന്റെ കണ്ണു അതിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

English: The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.

Malayalam: പുളെച്ച കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങൾ അതിൽ ചവിട്ടീട്ടില്ല; ഘോരസിംഹം അതിലെ നടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

English: He puts forth his hand upon the rock; he overturns the mountains by the roots.

Malayalam: അവർ തീക്കൽപാറയിലേക്കു കൈനീട്ടുന്നു; പർവ്വതങ്ങളെ അവർ വേരോടെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

English: He cuts out rivers among the rocks; and his eye sees every precious thing.

Malayalam: അവർ പാറകളുടെ ഇടയിൽകൂടി നടകളെ വെട്ടുന്നു; അവരുടെ കണ്ണു വിലയേറിയ വസ്തുക്കളെയൊക്കെയും കാണുന്നു.

English: He binds the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid brings he forth to light.

Malayalam: അവർ നീരൊഴുക്കുകളെ ചോരാതവണ്ണം അടെച്ചു നിർത്തുന്നു; ഗുപ്തമായിരിക്കുന്നതു അവർ വെളിച്ചത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.

English: But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ജ്ഞാനം എവിടെ കണ്ടുകിട്ടും? വിവേകത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം എവിടെ?

English: Man knows not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ വില മനുഷ്യൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ല.

English: The depth says, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me.

Malayalam: അതു എന്നിൽ ഇല്ല എന്നു ആഴി പറയുന്നു; അതു എന്റെ പക്കൽ ഇല്ല എന്നു സമുദ്രവും പറയുന്നു.

English: It cannot be got for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.

Malayalam: തങ്കം കൊടുത്താൽ അതു കിട്ടുന്നതല്ല; അതിന്റെ വിലയായി വെള്ളി തൂക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാറുമില്ല.

English: It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

Malayalam: ഓഫീർപൊന്നോ വിലയേറിയ ഗോമേദകമോ നീലരത്നമോ ഒന്നും അതിന്നു ഈടാകുന്നതല്ല;

English: The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.

Malayalam: സ്വർണ്ണവും സ്ഫടികവും അതിനോടു ഒക്കുന്നില്ല; തങ്കം കൊണ്ടുള്ള പണ്ടങ്ങൾക്കു അതിനെ മാറിക്കൊടുപ്പാറില്ല.

English: No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.

Malayalam: പവിഴത്തിന്റെയും പളുങ്കിന്റെയും പേർ മിണ്ടുകേ വേണ്ടാ; ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വില മുത്തുകളിലും കവിഞ്ഞതല്ലോ.

English: The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.

Malayalam: കൂശിലെ പുഷ്പരാഗം അതിനോടു ഒക്കുന്നില്ല; തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു അതിന്റെ വില മതിക്കാകുന്നതുമല്ല.

English: Whence then comes wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ ജ്ഞാനം എവിടെനിന്നു വരുന്നു? വിവേകത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം എവിടെ?

English: Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.

Malayalam: അതു സകലജീവികളുടെയും കണ്ണുകൾക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾക്കു അതു ഗുപ്തമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചെവികൊണ്ടു അതിന്റെ കേൾവി കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു നരകവും മരണവും പറയുന്നു.

English: God understands the way thereof, and he knows the place thereof.

Malayalam: ദൈവം അതിന്റെ വഴി അറിയുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം അവന്നു നിശ്ചയമുണ്ടു.

English: For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heaven;

Malayalam: അവൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളോളവും നോക്കുന്നു; ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കീഴിലൊക്കെയും കാണുന്നു.

English: To make the weight for the winds; and he weights the waters by measure.

Malayalam: അവൻ കാറ്റിനെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുകയും വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അളവു നിശ്ചയിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:

Malayalam: അവൻ മഴെക്കു ഒരു നിയമവും ഇടിമിന്നലിന്നു ഒരു വഴിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയപ്പോൾ

English: Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.

Malayalam: അവൻ അതു കണ്ടു വർണ്ണിക്കയും അതു സ്ഥാപിച്ചു പരിശോധിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

English: And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Malayalam: കർത്താവിനോടുള്ള ഭക്തി തന്നേ ജ്ഞാനം; ദോഷം അകന്നു നടക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ വിവേകം എന്നു അവൻ മനുഷ്യനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
