Job 29

English: Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

Malayalam: ഇയ്യോബ് പിന്നെയും സുഭാഷിതം ചൊല്ലിയതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

English: Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me;

Malayalam: അയ്യോ പണ്ടത്തെ മാസങ്ങളിലെപ്പോലെ ദൈവം എന്നെ കാത്തുപോന്ന നാളുകളിലെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ആയെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

English: When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;

Malayalam: അന്നു അവന്റെ ദീപം എന്റെ തലെക്കു മീതെ പ്രകാശിച്ചു; അവന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്താൽ ഞാൻ ഇരുട്ടിൽ കൂടി നടന്നു

English: As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;

Malayalam: എന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഖ്യത ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും സർവ്വശക്തൻ എന്നോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കയും.

English: When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;

Malayalam: എന്റെ മക്കൾ എന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്ത എന്റെ ശുഭകാലത്തിലെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ആയെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

English: When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;

Malayalam: അന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ കാലുകളെ വെണ്ണകൊണ്ടു കഴുകി; പാറ എനിക്കു തൈലനദികളെ ഒഴുക്കിത്തന്നു.

English: When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street!

Malayalam: ഞാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു പടിവാതിൽക്കൽ ചെന്നു. വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തു എന്റെ ഇരിപ്പിടം വെക്കുമ്പോൾ

English: The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up.

Malayalam: യൌവനക്കാർ എന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഒളിക്കും; വൃദ്ധന്മാർ എഴുന്നേറ്റുനില്ക്കും.

English: The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.

Malayalam: പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ സംസാരം നിർത്തി, കൈകൊണ്ടു വായ്പൊത്തും.

English: The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.

Malayalam: ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം അടങ്ങും; അവരുടെ നാവു അണ്ണാക്കോടു പറ്റും.

English: When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me:

Malayalam: എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ട ചെവി എന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തും; എന്നെ കണ്ട കണ്ണു എനിക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം നല്കും.

English: Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.

Malayalam: നിലവിളിച്ച എളിയവനെയും അനാഥനെയും തുണയറ്റവനെയും ഞാൻ വിടുവിച്ചു.

English: The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.

Malayalam: നശിക്കുമാറായവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം എന്റെ മേൽ വന്നു; വിധവയുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ഞാൻ സന്തോഷം കൊണ്ടു ആർക്കുമാറാക്കി.

English: I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ നീതിയെ ധരിച്ചു; അതു എന്റെ ഉടുപ്പായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ ന്യായം ഉത്തരീയവും തലപ്പാവും പോലെയായിരുന്നു.

English: I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ കുരുടന്നു കണ്ണും മുടന്തന്നു കാലും ആയിരുന്നു.

English: I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.

Malayalam: ദരിദ്രന്മാർക്കു ഞാൻ അപ്പനായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ അറിയാത്തവന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം പരിശോധിച്ചു.

English: And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.

Malayalam: നീതികെട്ടവന്റെ അണപ്പല്ലു ഞാൻ തകർത്തു; അവന്റെ പല്ലിൻ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ഇരയെ പറിച്ചെടുത്തു.

English: Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.

Malayalam: എന്റെ കൂട്ടിൽവെച്ചു ഞാൻ മരിക്കും; ഹോൽപക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ദീർഘായുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കും.

English: My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.

Malayalam: എന്റെ വേർ വെള്ളത്തോളം പടർന്നുചെല്ലുന്നു; എന്റെ കൊമ്പിന്മേൽ മഞ്ഞു രാപാർക്കുന്നു.

English: My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.

Malayalam: എന്റെ മഹത്വം എന്നിൽ പച്ചയായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വില്ലു എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ പുതുകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യർ കാത്തിരുന്നു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കും; എന്റെ ആലോചന കേൾപ്പാൻ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കും.

English: After my words they spoke not again; and my speech dropped upon them.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ചശേഷം അവർ മിണ്ടുകയില്ല; എന്റെ മൊഴി അവരുടെമേൽ ഇറ്റിറ്റു വീഴും.

English: And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

Malayalam: മഴെക്കു എന്നപോലെ അവർ എനിക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കും; പിന്മഴെക്കെന്നപോലെ അവർ വായ്പിളർക്കും.

English: If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.

Malayalam: അവർ നിരാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവരെ നോക്കി പുഞ്ചിരിയിടും; എന്റെ മുഖപ്രസാദം അവർ മങ്ങിക്കയുമില്ല.

English: I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforts the mourners.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ അവരുടെ വഴി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു തലവനായിട്ടു ഇരിക്കും; സൈന്യസഹിതനായ രാജാവിനെപ്പോലെയും ദുഃഖിതന്മാരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെയും ഞാൻ വസിക്കും;
