English: Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

Malayalam: യേശു മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർപ്പിച്ച ലാസർ പാർത്ത ബേഥാന്യയിലേക്കു യേശു പെസഹെക്കു ആറുദിവസം മുമ്പെ വന്നു.

English: There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.

Malayalam: അവിടെ അവർ അവന്നു ഒരു അത്താഴം ഒരുക്കി; മാർത്ത ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തു, ലാസരോ അവനോടുകൂടെ പന്തിയിൽ ഇരുന്നവരിൽ ഒരുവൻ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ മറിയ വിലയേറിയ സ്വച്ഛജടാമാംസിതൈലം ഒരു റാത്തൽ എടുത്തു യേശുവിന്റെ കാലിൽ പൂശി തന്റെ തലമുടികൊണ്ടു കാൽ തുവർത്തി; തൈലത്തിന്റെ സൌരഭ്യം കൊണ്ടു വീടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then says one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായി അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാനുള്ള യൂദാ ഈസ്കര്യോത്താവു:

English: Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

Malayalam: ഈ തൈലം മുന്നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശിന്നു വിറ്റു ദിരിദ്രന്മാർക്കു കൊടുക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Malayalam: ഇതു ദരിദ്രന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടല്ല, അവൻ കള്ളൻ ആകകൊണ്ടും പണസ്സഞ്ചി തന്റെ പക്കൽ ആകയാൽ അതിൽ ഇട്ടതു എടുത്തുവന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അത്രേ പറഞ്ഞതു.

English: Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying has she kept this.

Malayalam: യേശുവോ: അവളെ വിടുക; എന്റെ ശവസംസ്കാരദിവസത്തിന്നായി അവൾ ഇതു സൂക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ.

English: For the poor always all of you have with you; but me all of you have not always.

Malayalam: ദരിദ്രന്മാർ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ഞാൻ എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഇല്ലതാനും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം യേശുവിന്റെ നിമിത്തം മാത്രമല്ല, അവൻ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർപ്പിച്ച ലാസരെ കാണ്മാനായിട്ടുംകൂടെ വന്നു.

English: But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;

Malayalam: അവൻ ഹേതുവായി അനേകം യെഹൂദന്മാർ ചെന്നു

English: Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.

Malayalam: യേശുവിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കയാൽ ലാസരെയും കൊല്ലേണം എന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർ ആലോചിച്ചു.

English: On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

Malayalam: പിറ്റേന്നു പെരുന്നാൾക്കു വന്നോരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വരുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടിട്ടു

English: Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord.

Malayalam: ഈത്തപ്പനയുടെ കുരുത്തോല എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ ചെന്നു: ഹോശന്നാ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായി കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വരുന്നവൻ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ എന്നു ആർത്തു.

English: And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

Malayalam: യേശു ഒരു ചെറിയ കഴുതയെ കണ്ടിട്ടു അതിന്മേൽ കയറി.

English: Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, your King comes, sitting on an ass's colt.

Malayalam: “സീയോൻ പുത്രി, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഇതാ നിന്റെ രാജാവു കഴുതക്കുട്ടിപ്പുറത്തു കയറിവരുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

English: These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

Malayalam: ഇതു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ആദിയിൽ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; യേശുവിന്നു തേജസ്കരണം വന്നശേഷം അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും തങ്ങൾ അവന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു എന്നും അവർക്കു ഓർമ്മ വന്നു.

English: The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

Malayalam: അവൻ ലാസരെ കല്ലറയിൽ നിന്നു വിളിച്ചു മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരുഷാരം സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.

Malayalam: അവൻ ഈ അടയാളം ചെയ്തപ്രകാരം പുരുഷാരം കേട്ടിട്ടു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു.

English: The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive all of you how all of you prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ പരീശന്മാർ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ: നമുക്കു ഒന്നും സാധിക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ലോകം അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ആയിപ്പോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

Malayalam: പെരുനാളിൽ നമസ്കരിപ്പാൻ വന്നവരിൽ ചില യവനന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.

Malayalam: ഇവർ ഗലീലയിലെ ബേത്ത്സയിദക്കാരനായ ഫിലിപ്പൊസിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവനോടു: യജമാനനേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കു യേശുവിനെ കാണ്മാൻ താല്പര്യമുണ്ടു എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

English: Philip comes and tells Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

Malayalam: ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് ചെന്നു അന്ത്രെയാസിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അന്ത്രെയാസും ഫിലിപ്പൊസും കൂടെ ചെന്നു യേശുവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തേജസ്കരിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള നാഴിക വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.

Malayalam: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: കോതമ്പുമണി നിലത്തു വീണു ചാകുന്നില്ല എങ്കിൽ അതു തനിയേ ഇരിക്കും; ചത്തു എങ്കിലോ വളരെ വിളവുണ്ടാകും.

English: He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Malayalam: തന്റെ ജീവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവൻ അതിനെ കളയും; ഇഹലോകത്തിൽ തന്റെ ജീവനെ പകെക്കുന്നവൻ അതിനെ നിത്യജീവന്നായി സൂക്ഷിക്കും.

English: If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ; ഞാൻ ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു എന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനും ഇരിക്കും; എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്നവനെ പിതാവു മാനിക്കും.

English: Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കലങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? പിതാവേ, ഈ നാഴികയിൽനിന്നു എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഇതു നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ ഈ നാഴികയിലേക്കു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Father, glorify your name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

Malayalam: പിതാവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ. അപ്പോൾ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു; ഞാൻ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നൊരു ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായി:

English: The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spoke to him.

Malayalam: അതുകേട്ടിട്ടു അരികെ നില്ക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരം: ഇടി ഉണ്ടായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; മറ്റു ചിലർ ഒരു ദൈവദൂതൻ അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു: ഈ ശബ്ദം എന്റെ നിമിത്തമല്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം അത്രേ ഉണ്ടായതു.

English: Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Malayalam: ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ന്യായവിധി ആകുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുവിനെ പുറത്തു തള്ളിക്കളയും.

English: And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Malayalam: ഞാനോ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ടാൽ എല്ലാവരെയും എങ്കലേക്കു ആകർഷിക്കും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: This he said, signifying what death he should die.

Malayalam: ഇതു താൻ മരിപ്പാനുള്ള മരണവിധം സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതത്രേ.

English: The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abides for ever: and how says you, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

Malayalam: പുരുഷാരം അവനോടു: ക്രിസ്തു എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കും എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ വായിച്ചുകേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ഉയർത്തപ്പെടേണ്ടതെന്നു നീ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? ഈ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while all of you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു അവരോടു: ഇനി കുറെകാലം മാത്രം വെളിച്ചം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇരിക്കും; ഇരുൾ നിങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വെളിച്ചം ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം നടന്നുകൊൾവിൻ. ഇരുളിൽ നടക്കുന്നവൻ താൻ എവിടെ പോകുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

English: While all of you have light, believe in the light, that all of you may be the children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു വെളിച്ചം ഉള്ളടത്തോളം വെളിച്ചത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

Malayalam: ഇതു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടു യേശു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി അവരെ വിട്ടു മറഞ്ഞു. അവർ കാൺകെ അവൻ ഇത്ര വളരെ അടയാളങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തിട്ടും അവർ അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

English: That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Malayalam: “കർത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങൾ കേൾപ്പിച്ചതു ആർ വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു? കർത്താവിന്റെ ഭുജം ആർക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു?” എന്നു യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ പറഞ്ഞ വചനം നിവൃത്തിയാവാൻ ഇടവന്നു.

English: Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,

Malayalam: അവർക്കു വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതിന്റെ കാരണം യെശയ്യാവു വേറെ ഒരേടത്തു പറയുന്നതു:

English: He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

Malayalam: അവർ കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണുകയോ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കയോ മനം തിരികയോ താൻ അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ കണ്ണു അവൻ കുരുടാക്കി ഹൃദയം തടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”

English: These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.

Malayalam: യെശയ്യാവു അവന്റെ തേജസ്സു കണ്ടു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു ഇതു പറഞ്ഞതു.

English: Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

Malayalam: എന്നിട്ടും പ്രമാണികളിൽ തന്നേയും അനേകർ അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; പള്ളിഭ്രഷ്ടർ ആകാതിരിപ്പാൻ പരീശന്മാർ നിമിത്തം ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞില്ലതാനും.

English: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Malayalam: അവർ ദൈവത്താലുള്ള മാനത്തെക്കാൾ മനുഷ്യരാലുള്ള മാനത്തെ അധികം സ്നേഹിച്ചു.

English: Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me.

Malayalam: യേശു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്നിലല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനിൽ തന്നേ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.

English: And he that sees me sees him that sent me.

Malayalam: എന്നെ കാണുന്നവൻ എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കാണുന്നു.

English: I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.

Malayalam: എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരും ഇരുളിൽ വസിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ വെളിച്ചമായി ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Malayalam: എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിക്കാത്തവനെ ഞാൻ വിധിക്കുന്നില്ല; ലോകത്തെ വിധിപ്പാനല്ല, ലോകത്തെ രക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

English: He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Malayalam: എന്റെ വചനം കൈക്കൊള്ളാതെ എന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നവനെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നവൻ ഉണ്ടു; ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ച വചനം തന്നേ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളിൽ അവനെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും.

English: For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ സ്വയമായി സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവു തന്നേ ഞാൻ ഇന്നതു പറയേണം എന്നും ഇന്നതു സംസാരിക്കേണം എന്നും കല്പന തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ കല്പന നിത്യജീവൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു പിതാവു എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
