Luke 12

English: In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware all of you of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Malayalam: അതിന്നിടെ പുരുഷാരം തമ്മിൽ ചവിട്ടുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ആയിരം ആയിരമായി തിങ്ങിക്കൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവൻ ആദ്യം ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങിതു: “പരീശന്മാരുടെ പുളിച്ചമാവായ കപടഭക്തി സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

English: For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Malayalam: മൂടിവെച്ചതു ഒന്നും വെളിച്ചത്തു വരാതെയും ഗൂഢമായതു ഒന്നും അറിയാതെയും ഇരിക്കയില്ല.

English: Therefore whatsoever all of you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which all of you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഇരുട്ടത്തു പറഞ്ഞതു എല്ലാം വെളിച്ചത്തു കേൾക്കും; അറകളിൽ വെച്ചു ചെവിയിൽ മന്ത്രിച്ചതു പുരമുകളിൽ ഘോഷിക്കും.

English: And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരായ നിങ്ങളോടു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു: “ദേഹത്തെ കൊന്നിട്ടു പിന്നെ അധികമായി ഒന്നും ചെയ്‍വാൻ കഴിയാത്തവരെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

English: But I will forewarn you whom all of you shall fear: Fear him, which after he has killed has power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Malayalam: ആരെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരാം. കൊന്നിട്ടു നരകത്തിൽ തള്ളിക്കളവാൻ അധികാരമുള്ളവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുവിൻ: അതേ, അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുവിൻ ” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

Malayalam: രണ്ടു കാശിന്നു അഞ്ചു കുരികിലിനെ വില്ക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? അവയിൽ ഒന്നിനെപ്പോലും ദൈവം മറന്നുപോകുന്നില്ല.

English: But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: all of you are of more value than many sparrows.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ തലയിലെ മുടിപോലും എല്ലാം എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ആകയാൽ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഏറിയ കുരികിലിനെക്കാളും നിങ്ങൾ വിശേഷതയുള്ളവർ.

English: Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും എന്നെ ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞാൽ അവനെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനും ദൈവദൂതന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഏറ്റുപറയും.

English: But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുന്നവനെ ദൈവദൂതന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ തള്ളിപ്പറയും.

English: And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemes against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ നേരെ ഒരു വാക്കു പറയുന്ന ഏവനോടും ക്ഷമിക്കും; പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ നേരെ ദൂഷണം പറയുന്നവനോടോ ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല ” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take all of you no thought how or what thing all of you shall answer, or what all of you shall say:

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളെ പള്ളികൾക്കും കോയ്മകൾക്കും അധികാരങ്ങൾക്കും മുമ്പിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകുമ്പോൾ എങ്ങനെയോ എന്തോ പ്രതിവാദിക്കേണ്ടു? എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു എന്നു വിചാരിപ്പെടേണ്ടാ;

English: For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what all of you ought to say.

Malayalam: പറയേണ്ടതു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ആ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കും.

English: And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

Malayalam: പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ അവനോടു: ഗുരോ, ഞാനുമായി അവകാശം പകുതിചെയ്‍വാൻ എന്റെ സഹോദരനോടു കല്പിച്ചാലും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?

Malayalam: അവനോടു അവൻ: “മനുഷ്യാ, എന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ന്യായകർത്താവോ പങ്കിടുന്നവനോ ആക്കിയതു ആർ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവരോടു: “സകലദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹവും സൂക്ഷിച്ചു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ; ഒരുത്തന്നു സമൃദ്ധിഉണ്ടായാലും അവന്റെ വസ്തുവകയല്ല അവന്റെ ജീവന്നു ആധാരമായിരിക്കുന്നതു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

Malayalam: ഒരുപമയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ധനവാനായോരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഭൂമി നന്നായി വിളഞ്ഞു.

English: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? എന്റെ വിളവു കൂട്ടിവെപ്പാൻ സ്ഥലം പോരാ എന്നു ഉള്ളിൽ വിചാരിച്ചു.

English: And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്യും; എന്റെ കളപ്പുരകളെ പൊളിച്ചു അധികം വലിയവ പണിതു എന്റെ വിളവും വസ്തുവകയും എല്ലാം അതിൽ കൂട്ടിവെക്കും.

English: And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take yours ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

Malayalam: എന്നിട്ടു എന്നോടുതന്നേ; നിനക്കു ഏറിയ ആണ്ടുകൾക്കു മതിയായ അനവധി വസ്തുവക സ്വരൂപിച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആശ്വസിക്ക, തിന്നുക, കുടിക്ക, ആനന്ദിക്ക എന്നു പറയും. ദൈവമോ അവനോടു:

English: But God said unto him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?

Malayalam: മൂഢാ, ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും. പിന്നെ നീ ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചതു ആർക്കാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Malayalam: ദൈവവിഷയമായി സമ്പന്നനാകാതെ തനിക്കു തന്നേ നിക്ഷേപിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കാര്യം ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു.

English: And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what all of you shall eat; neither for the body, what all of you shall put on.

Malayalam: അവൻ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ആകയാൽ എന്തു തിന്നും എന്നു ജീവന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടും എന്തു ഉടുക്കും എന്നു ശരീരത്തിന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടും വിചാരപ്പെടരുതു” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: The life is more than food, and the body is more than raiment.

Malayalam: ആഹാരത്തെക്കാൾ ജീവനും ഉടുപ്പിനെക്കാൾ ശരീരവും വലുതല്ലോ.

English: Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them: how much more are all of you better than the fowls?

Malayalam: കാക്കയെ നോക്കുവിൻ; അതു വിതെക്കുന്നില്ല, കൊയ്യുന്നില്ല, അതിന്നു പാണ്ടികശാലയും കളപ്പുരയും ഇല്ല; എങ്കിലും ദൈവം അതിനെ പുലർത്തുന്നു. പറവജാതിയെക്കാൾ നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര വിശേഷമുള്ളവർ!

English: And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

Malayalam: പിന്നെ വിചാരപ്പെടുന്നതിനാൽ തന്റെ നീളത്തിൽ ഒരു മുഴം കൂട്ടുവാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ആർക്കു കഴിയും?

English: If all of you then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take all of you thought for the rest?

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയതിന്നുപോലും നിങ്ങൾ പോരാത്തവർ എങ്കിൽ ശേഷമുള്ളതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരപ്പെടുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Malayalam: താമര എങ്ങനെ വളരുന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിപ്പിൻ; അവ അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കുന്നില്ല നൂൽക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; എന്നാൽ ശലോമോൻ പോലും തന്റെ സകല മഹത്വത്തിലും ഇവയിൽ ഒന്നിനോളം ചമഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല ” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O all of you of little faith?

Malayalam: ഇന്നുള്ളതും നാളെ അടുപ്പിൽ ഇടുന്നതുമായ വയലിലെ പുല്ലിനെ ദൈവം ഇങ്ങനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അല്പവിശ്വസികളേ, നിങ്ങളെ എത്ര അധികം?

English: And seek not all of you what all of you shall eat, or what all of you shall drink, neither be all of you of doubtful mind.

Malayalam: എന്തു തിന്നും എന്തു കുടിക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ചിന്തിച്ചു ചഞ്ചലപ്പെടരുതു.

English: For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that all of you have need of these things.

Malayalam: ഈ വക ഒക്കെയും ലോകജാതികൾ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവോ ഇവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആവശ്യം എന്നു അറിയുന്നു.

English: But rather seek all of you the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ രാജ്യം അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; അതോടുകൂടെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇതും കിട്ടും.

English: Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Malayalam: ചെറിയ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടമേ, ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു രാജ്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കു നല്കുവാൻ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Sell that all of you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതു വിറ്റു ഭിക്ഷകൊടുപ്പിൻ; കള്ളൻ അടുക്കയോ പുഴു കെടുക്കയോ ചെയ്യാത്ത സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ പഴകിപ്പോകാത്ത മടിശ്ശീലകളും തീർന്നുപോകാത്ത നിക്ഷേപവും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ.

English: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ നിക്ഷേപം ഉള്ളേടത്തു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയവും ഇരിക്കും.

English: Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളുടെ അര കെട്ടിയും വിളക്കു കത്തിയും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ.

English: And all of you yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may open unto him immediately.

Malayalam: യജമാനൻ കല്യാണത്തിന്നു പോയി വന്നു മുട്ടിയാൽ ഉടനെ വാതിൽ തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ എപ്പോൾ മടങ്ങിവരും വന്നു കാത്തുനില്ക്കുന്ന ആളുകളോടു നിങ്ങൾ തുല്യരായിരിപ്പിൻ.

English: Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to food, and will come forth and serve them.

Malayalam: യജമാനൻ വരുന്നേരം ഉണർന്നിരിക്കുന്നവരായി കാണുന്ന ദാസന്മാർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ; അവൻ അര കെട്ടി അവരെ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരുത്തുകയും വന്നു അവർക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായി നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

Malayalam: അവൻ രണ്ടാം യാമത്തിൽ വന്നാലും മൂന്നാമതിൽ വന്നാലും അങ്ങനെ കണ്ടു എങ്കിൽ അവർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

English: And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

Malayalam: കള്ളൻ ഇന്ന നാഴികെക്കു വരുന്നു എന്നു വിട്ടുടയവൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവൻ ഉണർന്നിരുന്നു തന്റെ വീടു തുരപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയില്ല എന്നറിവിൻ.

English: Be all of you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when all of you think not.

Malayalam: നിനയാത്ത നാഴികയിൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ വരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളും ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിപ്പിൻ.

English: Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speak you this parable unto us, or even to all?

Malayalam: കർത്താവേ, ഈ ഉപമ പറയുന്നതു ഞങ്ങളോടോ എല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെയോ എന്നു പത്രൊസ് ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു കർത്താവു പറഞ്ഞതു:

English: And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?

Malayalam: തക്കസമയത്തു ആഹാരവീതം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യജമാനൻ തന്റെ വേലക്കാരുടെ മേൽ ആക്കുന്ന വിശ്വസ്തനും ബുദ്ധിമാനുമായ ഗൃഹവിചാരകൻ ആർ?

English: Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.

Malayalam: യജമാനൻ വരുമ്പോൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുകാണുന്ന ദാസൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

English: Truthfully I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he has.

Malayalam: അവൻ തനിക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിന്നും അവനെ വിചാരകനാക്കിവെക്കും” എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the male servants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദാസൻ: യജമാനൻ താമസിച്ചേ വരികയുള്ളു എന്നു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു ബാല്യക്കാരെയും ബാല്യക്കാരത്തികളെയും തല്ലുവാനും തിന്നു കുടിച്ചു മദിപ്പാനും തുടങ്ങിയാൽ,

English: The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

Malayalam: അവൻ നോക്കിയിരിക്കാത്ത നാളിലും അറിയാത്ത നാഴികയിലും ആ ദാസന്റെ യജമാനൻ വന്നു അവനെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയും അവന്നു അവിശ്വാസികളോടുകൂടെ പങ്കു കല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

English: And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Malayalam: യജമാനന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഒരുങ്ങാതെയും അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യാതെയുമിരിക്കുന്ന ദാസന്നു വളരെ അടികൊള്ളും.

English: But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Malayalam: അറിയാതെകണ്ടു അടിക്കു യോഗ്യമായതു ചെയ്തവന്നോ കുറയ അടി കൊള്ളും; വളരെ ലഭിച്ചവനോടു വളരെ ആവശ്യപ്പെടും; അധികം ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങിയവനോടു അധികം ചോദിക്കും.

English: I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

Malayalam: ഭൂമിയിൽ തീ ഇടുവാൻ ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഇപ്പോഴേ കത്തിയെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ മറ്റെന്തു ഇച്ഛിക്കേണ്ടു?

English: But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

Malayalam: എങ്കിലും എനിക്കു ഒരു സ്നാനം ഏല്പാൻ ഉണ്ടു; അതു കഴിയുവോളം ഞാൻ എത്ര ഞെരുങ്ങുന്നു.

English: Suppose all of you that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Malayalam: ഭൂമിയിൽ സമാധാനം നല്കുവാൻ ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ? അല്ലല്ല, ഛിദ്രം വരുത്തുവാൻ അത്രേ” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

Malayalam: ഇനിമേൽ ഒരു വീട്ടിൽ ഇരുവരോടു മൂവരും മൂവരോടു ഇരുവരും ഇങ്ങനെ അഞ്ചുപേർ തമ്മിൽ ഛിദ്രിച്ചിരിക്കും.

English: The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Malayalam: അപ്പൻ മകനോടും മകൻ അപ്പനോടും അമ്മ മകളോടും മകൾ അമ്മയോടും അമ്മാവിയമ്മ മരുമകളോടും മരുമകൾ അമ്മാവിയമ്മയോടും ഛിദ്രിച്ചിരിക്കും.

English: And he said also to the people, When all of you see a cloud rise out of the west, immediately all of you say, There comes a shower; and so it is.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നു മേഘം പൊങ്ങുന്നതു കാണുമ്പോൾ പെരുമഴ വരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഉടനെ പറയുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: And when all of you see the south wind blow, all of you say, There will be heat; and it comes to pass.

Malayalam: തെക്കൻ കാറ്റു ഊതുന്നതു കണ്ടാലോ അത്യുഷ്ണം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു പറയുന്നു; അതു സംഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

English: All of you hypocrites, all of you can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that all of you do not discern this time?

Malayalam: കപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, ഭൂമിയുടെയും ആകാശത്തിന്റെയും ഭാവത്തെ വിവേചിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയാം;

English: Yea, and why even of yourselves judge all of you not what is right?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഈ കാലത്തെ വിവേചിപ്പാൻ അറിയാത്തതു എങ്ങനെ? ന്യായമായതു എന്തെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ സ്വയമായി വിധിക്കാത്തതും എന്തു?

English: When you go with yours adversary to the magistrate, as you are in the way, give diligence that you may be delivered from him; lest he hale you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer cast you into prison.

Malayalam: പ്രതിയോഗിയോടുകൂടെ അധികാരിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുമ്പോൾ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു അവനോടു നിരന്നുകൊൾവാൻ ശ്രമിക്ക; അല്ലാഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ നിന്നെ ന്യായാധിപന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇഴെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പോകയും ന്യായാധിപൻ നിന്നെ കോൽക്കാരന്റെ പക്കൽ ഏല്പിക്കയും കോൽക്കാരൻ തടവിൽ ആക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

English: I tell you, you shall not depart thence, till you have paid the very last mite.
