Luke 24

English: Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Malayalam: അവർ ഒരുക്കിയ സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം എടുത്തു ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ദിവസം അതികാലത്തു കല്ലറെക്കൽ എത്തി,

English: And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

Malayalam: കല്ലറയിൽ നിന്നു കല്ലു ഉരുട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞതായി കണ്ടു.

English: And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

Malayalam: അകത്തു കടന്നാറെ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കണ്ടില്ല.

English: And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

Malayalam: അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവർ ചഞ്ചലിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മിന്നുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു പുരുഷാന്മാർ അരികെ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

English: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek all of you the living among the dead?

Malayalam: ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മുഖം കുനിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ജീവനുള്ളവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

English: He is not here, but has risen: remember how he spoke unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

Malayalam: അവൻ ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു;

English: Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Malayalam: മുമ്പെ ഗലീലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ പാപികളായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിക്കയും അവൻ മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

English: And they remembered his words,

Malayalam: അവർ അവന്റെ വാക്കു ഓർത്തു,

English: And returned from the tomb, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

Malayalam: കല്ലറ വിട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി പതിനൊരുവർ മുതലായ എല്ലാവരോടും ഇതു ഒക്കെയും അറിയിച്ചു.

English: It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

Malayalam: അവർ ആരെന്നാൽ മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ, യോഹന്നാ, യാക്കോബിന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നവർ തന്നേ. അവരോടുകൂടെയുള്ള മറ്റു സ്ത്രീകളും അതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

Malayalam: ഈ വാക്കു അവർക്കു വെറും കഥപോലെ തോന്നി; അവരെ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

English: Then arose Peter, and ran unto the tomb; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

Malayalam: (എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കല്ലറെക്കൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു കുനിഞ്ഞു നോക്കി, തുണി മാത്രം കണ്ടു, സംഭവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.)

English: And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

Malayalam: അന്നു തന്നേ അവരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ഏഴു നാഴിക ദൂരമുള്ള എമ്മവുസ്സ് എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു പോകയിൽ

English: And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

Malayalam: ഈ സംഭവിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒക്കെയും തമ്മിൽ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

English: And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

Malayalam: സംസാരിച്ചും തർക്കിച്ചും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു താനും അടുത്തുചെന്നു അവരോടു ചേർന്നു നടന്നു.

English: But their eyes were held that they should not know him.

Malayalam: അവനെ അറിയാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ കണ്ണു നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു.

English: And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that all of you have one to another, as all of you walk, and are sad?

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങൾ വഴിനടന്നു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കുന്ന ഈ കാര്യം എന്തു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അവർ വാടിയ മുഖത്തോടെ നിന്നു.

English: And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Are you only a stranger in Jerusalem, and have not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

Malayalam: ക്ളെയൊപ്പാവു എന്നു പേരുള്ളവൻ; യെരൂശലേമിലെ പരദേശികളിൽ നീ മാത്രം ഈ നാളുകളിൽ അവിടെ സംഭവിച്ച കാര്യം അറിയാതിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

Malayalam: “ഏതു” എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ദൈവത്തിന്നും സകലജനത്തിനും മുമ്പാകെ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും ശക്തിയുള്ള പ്രവാചകനായിരുന്ന നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു തന്നേ.

English: And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

Malayalam: നമ്മുടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രമാണികളും അവനെ മരണവിധിക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിച്ചു.

English: But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളോ അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനുള്ളവൻ എന്നു ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു; അത്രയുമല്ല, ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു ഇന്നു മൂന്നാം നാൾ ആകുന്നു.

English: Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the tomb;

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചില സ്ത്രീകൾ രാവിലെ കല്ലറെക്കൽ പോയി

English: And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ശരീരം കാണാതെ മടങ്ങിവന്നു അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ദർശനം കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And certain of them which were with us went to the tomb, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചിലർ കല്ലറക്കൽ ചെന്നു സ്ത്രീകൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ തന്നേ കണ്ടു; അവനെ കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.

English: Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “അയ്യോ, ബുദ്ധിഹീനരേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത മന്ദബുദ്ധികളേ,

English: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

Malayalam: ക്രിസ്തു ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടു തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൽ കടക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Malayalam: മോശെ തുടങ്ങി സകലപ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ നിന്നും എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിലും തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു അവർക്കു വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

English: And they drew nigh unto the village, where they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

Malayalam: അവർ പോകുന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തോടു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകുന്ന ഭാവം കാണിച്ചു.

English: But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

Malayalam: അവരോ: ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാർക്കുക; നേരം വൈകി അസ്തമിപ്പാറായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരോടുകൂടെ പാർപ്പാൻ ചെന്നു.

English: And it came to pass, as he sat at food with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

Malayalam: അവരുമായി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അപ്പം എടുത്തു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

English: And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Malayalam: ഉടനെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു അവർ അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അവർക്കു അപ്രത്യക്ഷനായി

English: And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Malayalam: അവൻ വഴിയിൽ നമ്മോടു സംസാരിച്ചു തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തെളിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം നമ്മുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

Malayalam: ആ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ അവർ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.

English: Saying, The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon.

Malayalam: കർത്താവു വാസ്തവമായി ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്നു പറയുന്ന പതിനൊരുവരെയും കൂടെയുള്ളവരെയും കണ്ടു.

English: And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

Malayalam: വഴിയിൽ സംഭവിച്ചതും അവൻ അപ്പം നുറുക്കുകയിൽ തങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയായ്‍വന്നതും അവർ വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And as they thus spoke, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and says unto them, Peace be unto you.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നു: (“നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു”.)

English: But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

Malayalam: അവർ ഞെട്ടി ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; ഒരു ഭൂതത്തെ കാണുന്നു എന്നു അവർക്കു തോന്നി.

English: And he said unto them, Why are all of you troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു “നിങ്ങൾ കലങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സംശയം പൊങ്ങുന്നതും എന്തു?

English: Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as all of you see me have.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ തന്നെ ആകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ കയ്യും കാലും നോക്കി അറിവിൻ; എന്നെ തൊട്ടുനോക്കുവിൻ; എന്നിൽ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഭൂതത്തിന്നു മാംസവും അസ്ഥിയും ഇല്ലല്ലോ ”എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when he had thus spoken, he showed them his hands and his feet.

Malayalam: (ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ കയ്യും കാലും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു.)

English: And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have all of you here any food?

Malayalam: അവർ സന്തോഷത്താൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ അതിശയിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരോടു: “തിന്നുവാൻ വല്ലതും ഇവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ടോ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

Malayalam: അവർ ഒരു ഖണ്ഡം വറുത്ത മീനും (തേൻ കട്ടയും) അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു.

English: And he took it, and did eat before them.

Malayalam: അതു അവൻ വാങ്ങി അവർ കാൺകെ തിന്നു.

English: And he said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു: “ഇതാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു. മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിലും സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങളിലും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും നിവൃത്തിയാകേണം എന്നുള്ളതു തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

English: Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Malayalam: തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തിരിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയെ തുറന്നു.

English: And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it was essential for Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

Malayalam: ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും

English: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും യെരൂശലേമിൽ തുടങ്ങി സകലജാതികളിലും പ്രസംഗിക്കയും വേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And all of you are witnesses of these things.

Malayalam: ഇതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.

English: And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry all of you in the city of Jerusalem, until all of you be imbued with power from on high.

Malayalam: എന്റെ പിതാവു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതിനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ അയക്കും. നിങ്ങളോ ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു ശക്തി ധരിക്കുവോളം നഗരത്തിൽ പാർപ്പിൻ ”എന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

Malayalam: അനന്തരം അവൻ അവരെ ബേഥാന്യയോളം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൈ ഉയർത്തി അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

English: And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

Malayalam: അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയിൽ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു (സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തു).

English: And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

Malayalam: അവർ (അവനെ നമസ്ക്കരിച്ചു) മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു

English: And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Malayalam: എല്ലായ്പോഴും ദൈവലായത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു ദൈവത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പോന്നു.
