Luke 7

English: Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

Malayalam: ജനം കേൾക്കെ തന്റെ വചനം ഒക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞുതീർന്ന ശേഷം അവൻ കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ ചെന്നു.

English: And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

Malayalam: അവിടെ ഒരു ശതാധിപന്നു പ്രിയനായ ദാസൻ ദീനം പിടിച്ചു മരിപ്പാറായിരുന്നു.

English: And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

Malayalam: അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ വസ്തുത കേട്ടിട്ടു, അവൻ വന്നു തന്റെ ദാസനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടിതിന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.

English: And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

Malayalam: അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു താല്പര്യമായി അപേക്ഷിച്ചു: നീ അതു ചെയ്തുകൊടുപ്പാൻ അവൻ യോഗ്യൻ;

English: For he loves our nation, and he has built us a synagogue.

Malayalam: അവൻ നമ്മുടെ ജനത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരു പള്ളിയും തീർപ്പിച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not yourself: for I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof:

Malayalam: യേശു അവരോടുകൂടെ പോയി, വീട്ടിനോടു അടുപ്പാറായപ്പോൾ ശതാധിപൻ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: കർത്താവേ, പ്രയാസപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നി എന്റെ പുരെക്കകത്തു വരുവാൻ ഞാൻ പോരാത്തവൻ.

English: Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto you: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ ഞാൻ യോഗ്യൻ എന്നു എനിക്കു തോന്നിട്ടില്ല. ഒരു വാക്കു കല്പിച്ചാൽ എന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന്നു സൌഖ്യംവരും.

English: For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.

Malayalam: ഞാനും അധികാരത്തിന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ട മനുഷ്യൻ; എന്റെ കീഴിൽ പടയാളികൾ ഉണ്ടു; ഒരുവനോടു പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ പോകുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുവനോടു വരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ വരുന്നു; എന്റെ ദാസനോടു: ഇതു ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

English: When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Malayalam: യേശു അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവങ്കൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി, അനുഗമിക്കുന്ന കൂട്ടത്തോടു: “യിസ്രായേലിൽകൂടെ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള വിശ്വാസം ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

English: And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

Malayalam: ശതാധിപൻ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിരുന്നവർ വീട്ടിൽ മടങ്ങി വന്നപ്പോൾ ദാസനെ സൌഖ്യത്തോടെ കണ്ടു.

English: And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.

Malayalam: പിറ്റെന്നാൾ അവൻ നയിൻ എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും വളരെ പുരുഷാരവും കൂടെ പോയി.

English: Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

Malayalam: അവൻ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ വാതിലോടു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ മരിച്ചുപോയ ഒരുത്തനെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; അവൻ അമ്മക്കു ഏകജാതനായ മകൻ; അവളോ വിധവ ആയിരുന്നു. പട്ടണത്തിലെ ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരവും അവളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

Malayalam: അവളെ കണ്ടിട്ടു കർത്താവു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അവളോടു: “കരയേണ്ടാ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അടുത്തു ചെന്നു മഞ്ചം തൊട്ടു ചുമക്കുന്നവർ നിന്നു.

English: And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto you, Arise.

Malayalam: “ബാല്യക്കാരാ എഴുന്നേൽക്ക എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

Malayalam: മരിച്ചവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഇരുന്നു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ തുടങ്ങി; അവൻ അവനെ അമ്മെക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

English: And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet has risen up among us; and, That God has visited his people.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവർക്കും ഭയംപിടിച്ചു: ഒരു വലിയ പ്രവാചകൻ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം തന്റെ ജനത്തെ സന്ദർശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചു.

English: And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.

Malayalam: അവനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഈ ശ്രുതി യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ ഒക്കെയും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള നാടെങ്ങും പരന്നു.

English: And the disciples of John showed him of all these things.

Malayalam: ഇതു ഒക്കെയും യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

English: And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Are you he that should come? or look we for another?

Malayalam: എന്നാറെ യോഹന്നാൻ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ രണ്ടുപേരെ വിളിച്ചു, കർത്താവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: വരുവാനുള്ളവൻ നീയോ? അല്ല, ഞങ്ങൾ മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

English: When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist has sent us unto you, saying, Are you he that should come? or look we for another?

Malayalam: ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: വരുവാനുള്ളവൻ നീയോ? അല്ല, ഞങ്ങൾ മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ എന്നു ചോദിപ്പാൻ യോഹന്നാൻസ്നാപകൻ ഞങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

Malayalam: ആ നാഴികയിൽ അവൻ വ്യാധികളും ദണ്ഡങ്ങളും ദുരാത്മാക്കളും പിടിച്ച പലരെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും പല കുരുടന്മാർക്കു കാഴ്ച നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവരോടു:

English: Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things all of you have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Malayalam: “കുരുടർ കാണുന്നു; മുടന്തർ നടക്കുന്നു; കുഷ്ഠരോഗികൾ ശുദ്ധരായിത്തീരുന്നു; ചെകിടർ കേൾക്കുന്നു; മരിച്ചവർ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു; ദിരദ്രന്മാരോടു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ കാണുകയും കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു യോഹന്നാനെ ചെന്നു അറിയിപ്പിൻ.

English: And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ എങ്കൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകാത്തവൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went all of you out into the wilderness in order to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

Malayalam: യോഹന്നാന്റെ ദൂതന്മാർ പോയശേഷം അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തോടു യോഹന്നാനെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങിയതു: “നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു കാണ്മാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോയി? കാറ്റിനാൽ ഉലയുന്ന ഓടയോ?

English: But what went all of you out in order to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

Malayalam: അല്ല, എന്തു കാണ്മാൻ പോയി? മാർദ്ദവവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച മനുഷ്യനെയോ? മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു സുഖഭോഗികളായി നടക്കുന്നവർ രാജധാനികളിൽ അത്രേ.

English: But what went all of you out in order to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

Malayalam: അല്ല, എന്തു കാണ്മാൻ പോയി? ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെയൊ? അതേ, പ്രവാചകനിലും മികച്ചവനെ തന്നേ” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു:

English: This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before you.

Malayalam: “ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൂതനെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി അയക്കുന്നു; അവൻ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിനക്കു വഴി ഒരുക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചാകുന്നു”.

English: For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

Malayalam: സ്ത്രീകളിൽ നിന്നു ജനിച്ചവരിൽ യോഹന്നാനെക്കാൾ വലിയവൻ ആരുമില്ല; ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയവനോ അവനിലും വലിയവൻ” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.--

English: And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ജനം ഒക്കെയും ചുങ്കക്കാരും കേട്ടിട്ടു യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റതിനാൽ ദൈവത്തെ നീതീകരിച്ചു.

English: But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

Malayalam: “എങ്കിലും പരീശന്മാരും ന്യായശാസ്ത്രിമാരും അവനാൽ സ്നാനം ഏൽക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചന തങ്ങൾക്കു വൃഥാവാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു-

English: And the Lord said, Unto which then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

Malayalam: ഈ തലമുറയിലെ മനുഷ്യരെ ഏതിനോടു ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു? അവർ ഏതിനോടു തുല്യം?

English: They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and all of you have not danced; we have mourned to you, and all of you have not wept.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കായി കുഴലൂതി, നിങ്ങൾ നൃത്തം ചെയ്തില്ല; ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കായി വിലാപം പാടി, നിങ്ങൾ കരഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു ചന്തസ്ഥലത്തു ഇരുന്നു അന്യോന്യം വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്ന കുട്ടികളോടു അവർ തുല്യർ.

English: For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and all of you say, He has a devil.

Malayalam: യോഹന്നാൻസ്നാപകൻ അപ്പം തിന്നാതെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കാതെയും വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.

English: The Son of man has come eating and drinking; and all of you say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a wine indulger, a friend of publicans and sinners!

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തിന്നും കുടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; തിന്നിയും കുടിയനും ആയ മനുഷ്യൻ ചുങ്കക്കാരുടെയും പാപികളുടെയും സ്നേഹിതൻ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.

English: But wisdom is justified of all her children.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനമോ തന്റെ എല്ലാ മക്കളാലും നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to food.

Malayalam: പരീശന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാൻ അവനെ ക്ഷണിച്ചു; അവൻ പരീശന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരുന്നു.

English: And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at food in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

Malayalam: ആ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പാപിയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ, അവൻ പരീശന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു അറിഞ്ഞു ഒരു വെൺകൽഭരണി പരിമളതൈലം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു,

English: And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Malayalam: പുറകിൽ അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു കണ്ണിനീർകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ കാൽ നനെച്ചുതുടങ്ങി; തലമുടികൊണ്ടു തുടെച്ചു കാൽ ചുംബിച്ചു തൈലം പൂശി.

English: Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner.

Malayalam: അവനെ ക്ഷണിച്ച പരീശൻ അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു: ഇവൻ പ്രവാചകൻ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, തന്നെ തൊടുന്ന സ്ത്രീ ആരെന്നും എങ്ങനെയുള്ളവൾ എന്നും അറിയുമായിരുന്നു; അവൾ പാപിയല്ലോ എന്നു ഉള്ളിൽ പറഞ്ഞു

English: And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto you. And he says, Master, say on.

Malayalam: “ശിമോനേ, നിന്നോടു ഒന്നു പറവാനുണ്ടു” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: ഗുരോ, പറഞ്ഞാലും എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

Malayalam: കടം കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരുത്തന്നു രണ്ടു കടക്കാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഒരുത്തൻ അഞ്ഞൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശും മറ്റവൻ അമ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശും കൊടുപ്പാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

English: And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

Malayalam: വീട്ടുവാൻ അവർക്കു വക ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ അവൻ ഇരുവർക്കും ഇളെച്ചുകൊടുത്തു; എന്നാൽ അവരിൽ ആർ അവനെ അധികം സ്നേഹിക്കും?

English: Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, You have rightly judged.

Malayalam: അധികം ഇളെച്ചുകിട്ടിയവൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ ഊഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ശിമോൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവനോടു: “നീ വിധിച്ചതു ശരി” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, See you this woman? I entered into yours house, you gave me no water for my feet: but she has washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Malayalam: സ്ത്രിയുടെ നേരെ തരിഞ്ഞു ശിമോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ഈ സ്ത്രീയെ കാണുന്നുവോ? ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു, നീ എന്റെ കാലിന്നു വെള്ളം തന്നില്ല; ഇവളോ കണ്ണുനീർകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കാൽ നനെച്ചു തലമുടികൊണ്ടു തുടെച്ചു.

English: You gave me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in has not ceased to kiss my feet.

Malayalam: നീ എനിക്കു ചുംബനം തന്നില്ല; ഇവളോ ഞാൻ അകത്തു വന്നതു മുതൽ ഇടവിടാതെ എന്റെ കാൽ ചുംബിച്ചു.

English: My head with oil you did not anoint: but this woman has anointed my feet with ointment.

Malayalam: നീ എന്റെ തലയിൽ തൈലം പൂശിയില്ല; ഇവളോ പരിമള തൈലംകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കാൽ പൂശി.

English: Wherefore I say unto you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ ഇവളുടെ അനേകമായ പാപങ്ങൾ മോചിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു; അവൾ വളരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചുവല്ലോ; അല്പം മോചിച്ചുകിട്ടിയവൻ അല്പം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു”.

English: And he said unto her, Your sins are forgiven.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ അവളോടു: “നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ മോചിച്ചു തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they that sat at food with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgives sins also?

Malayalam: അവനോടു കൂടെ പന്തിയിൽ ഇരുന്നവർ: പാപമോചനവും കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഇവൻ ആർ എന്നു തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങി.

English: And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

Malayalam: അവനോ സ്ത്രീയോടു: “നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
