Matthew 1

English: The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ വംശാവലി:

English: Abraham brings forth Isaac; and Isaac brings forth Jacob; and Jacob brings forth Judas and his brethren;

Malayalam: അബ്രാഹാം യിസ്ഹാക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യിസ്ഹാക്ക്ക് യാക്കോബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യാക്കോബ് യെഹൂദയെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Judas brings forth Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares brings forth Esrom; and Esrom brings forth Aram;

Malayalam: യെഹൂദാ താമാരിൽ പാരെസിനെയും സാരഹിനെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; പാരെസ് ഹെസ്രോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Aram brings forth Aminadab; and Aminadab brings forth Naasson; and Naasson brings forth Salmon;

Malayalam: ഹെസ്രോൻ ആരാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആരാം അമ്മീനാദാബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അമ്മീനാദാബ് നഹശോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; നഹശോൻ ശല്മോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Salmon brings forth Booz of Rachab; and Booz brings forth Obed of Ruth; and Obed brings forth Jesse;

Malayalam: ശല്മോൻ രഹാബിൽ ബോവസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ബോവസ് രൂത്തിൽ ഓബേദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ഓബേദ് യിശ്ശായിയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Jesse brings forth David the king; and David the king brings forth Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

Malayalam: യിശ്ശായി ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ദാവീദ്, ഊരീയാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായിരുന്നവളിൽ ശലോമോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Solomon brings forth Roboam; and Roboam brings forth Abia; and Abia brings forth Asa;

Malayalam: ശലോമോൻ രെഹബ്യാമെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; രെഹബ്യാം അബീയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അബീയാവ് ആസയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Asa brings forth Josaphat; and Josaphat brings forth Joram; and Joram brings forth Ozias;

Malayalam: ആസാ യോശാഫാത്തിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യോശാഫാത്ത് യോരാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യോരാം ഉസ്സീയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Ozias brings forth Joatham; and Joatham brings forth Achaz; and Achaz brings forth Ezekias;

Malayalam: ഉസ്സീയാവു യോഥാമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യോഥാം ആഹാസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആഹാസ് ഹിസ്കീയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Ezekias brings forth Manasses; and Manasses brings forth Amon; and Amon brings forth Josias;

Malayalam: ഹിസ്കീയാവു മനശ്ശെയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മനശ്ശെ ആമോസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആമോസ് യോശിയാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Josias brings forth Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

Malayalam: യോശിയാവു യെഖൊന്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും ബാബേൽപ്രവാസകാലത്തു ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias brings forth Salathiel; and Salathiel brings forth Zorobabel;

Malayalam: ബാബേൽപ്രവാസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യെഖൊന്യാവു ശെയല്തീയേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ശെയല്തീയേൽ സെരുബ്ബാബേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Zorobabel brings forth Abiud; and Abiud brings forth Eliakim; and Eliakim brings forth Azor;

Malayalam: സെരുബ്ബാബേൽ അബീഹൂദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അബീഹൂദ് എല്യാക്കീമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; എല്യാക്കീം ആസോരിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And Azor brings forth Sadoc; and Sadoc brings forth Achim; and Achim brings forth Eliud;

Malayalam: ആസോർ സാദോക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; സാദോക്ക്ക് ആഖീമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ആഖീം എലീഹൂദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

English: And Eliud brings forth Eleazar; and Eleazar brings forth Matthan; and Matthan brings forth Jacob;

Malayalam: എലീഹൂദ് എലീയാസരെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; എലീയാസർ മത്ഥാനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; മത്ഥാൻ യാക്കോബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

English: And Jacob brings forth Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Malayalam: യാക്കോബ് മറിയയുടെ ഭർത്താവായ യോസേഫിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു. അവളിൽ നിന്നു ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു പേരുള്ള യേശു ജനിച്ചു.

English: So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ തലമുറകൾ ആകെ അബ്രാഹാം മുതൽ ദാവീദുവരെ പതിന്നാലും ദാവീദു മുതൽ ബാബേൽപ്രവാസത്തോളം പതിന്നാലും ബാബേൽപ്രവാസം മുതൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിനോളം പതിന്നാലും ആകുന്നു.

English: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was likewise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ജനനം ഈ വണ്ണം ആയിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ അമ്മയായ മറിയ യോസേഫിന്നു വിവാഹം നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ടശേഷം അവർ കൂടിവരുമ്മുമ്പെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ ഗർഭിണിയായി എന്നു കണ്ടു.

English: Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately.

Malayalam: അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവായ യോസേഫ് നീതിമാനാകകൊണ്ടും അവൾക്കു ലോകാപവാദം വരുത്തുവാൻ അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടും അവളെ ഗൂഢമായി ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഭാവിച്ചു.

English: But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ നിനെച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ കർത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതൻ അവന്നു സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി: ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫേ, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ മറിയയെ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ ശങ്കിക്കേണ്ടാ; അവളിൽ ഉല്പാദിതമായതു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ ആകുന്നു.

English: And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Malayalam: അവൾ ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; അവൻ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു രക്ഷിപ്പാനിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നീ അവന്നു യേശു എന്നു പേർ ഇടേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Malayalam: “കന്യക ഗർഭിണിയായി ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും. അവന്നു ദൈവം നമ്മോടുകൂടെ എന്നർത്ഥമുള്ള ഇമ്മാനൂവേൽ എന്നു പേർ വിളിക്കും”

English: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Malayalam: എന്നു കർത്താവു പ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിവൃത്തിയാകുവാൻ ഇതൊക്കെയും സംഭവിച്ചു.

English: Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Malayalam: യോസേഫ് ഉറക്കം ഉണർന്നു. കർത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു, ഭാര്യയെ ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടു.

English: And had sexual contact with her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Malayalam: മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കുംവരെ അവൻ അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല. മകന്നു അവൻ യേശു എന്നു പേർ വിളിച്ചു.
