Proverbs 3

English: My son, forget not my law; but let yours heart keep my commandments:

Malayalam: മകനേ, എന്റെ ഉപദേശം മറക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ കല്പനകളെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

English: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.

Malayalam: അവ ദീർഘായുസ്സും ജീവകാലവും സമാധാനവും നിനക്കു വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചുതരും.

English: Let not mercy and truth forsake you: bind them about your neck; write them upon the table of yours heart:

Malayalam: ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും നിന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകരുതു; അവയെ നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ കെട്ടിക്കൊൾക; നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പലകയിൽ എഴുതിക്കൊൾക.

English: So shall you find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ നീ ദൈവത്തിന്നും മനുഷ്യർക്കും ബോദ്ധ്യമായ ലാവണ്യവും സൽബുദ്ധിയും പ്രാപിക്കും.

English: Trust in the LORD with all yours heart; and lean not unto yours own understanding.

Malayalam: പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്ക; സ്വന്ത വിവേകത്തിൽ ഊന്നരുതു.

English: In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ എല്ലാവഴികളിലും അവനെ നിനെച്ചുകൊൾക; അവൻ നിന്റെ പാതകളെ നേരെയാക്കും;

English: Be not wise in yours own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Malayalam: നിനക്കു തന്നേ നീ ജ്ഞാനിയായ്തോന്നരുതു; യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ദോഷം വിട്ടുമാറുക.

English: It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your bones.

Malayalam: അതു നിന്റെ നാഭിക്കു ആരോഗ്യവും അസ്ഥികൾക്കു തണുപ്പും ആയിരിക്കും.

English: Honour the LORD with your substance, and with the first-fruits of all yours increase:

Malayalam: യഹോവയെ നിന്റെ ധനംകൊണ്ടും എല്ലാവിളവിന്റെയും ആദ്യഫലംകൊണ്ടും ബഹുമാനിക്ക.

English: So shall your barns be filled with plenty, and your presses shall burst out with new wine.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ കളപ്പുരകൾ സമൃദ്ധിയായി നിറയും; നിന്റെ ചക്കുകളിൽ വീഞ്ഞു കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകും.

English: My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

Malayalam: മകനേ, യഹോവയുടെ ശിക്ഷയെ നിരസിക്കരുതു; അവന്റെ ശാസനയിങ്കൽ മുഷികയും അരുതു.

English: For whom the LORD loves he corrects; even as a father the son in whom he delights.

Malayalam: അപ്പൻ ഇഷ്ടപുത്രനോടു ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ യഹോവ താൻ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവനെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

English: Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനും വിവേകം ലഭിക്കുന്ന നരനും ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

English: For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ സമ്പാദനം വെള്ളിയുടെ സമ്പാദനത്തിലും അതിന്റെ ലാഭം തങ്കത്തിലും നല്ലതു.

English: She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared unto her.

Malayalam: അതു മുത്തുകളിലും വിലയേറിയതു; നിന്റെ മനോഹരവസ്തുക്കൾ ഒന്നും അതിന്നു തുല്യമാകയില്ല.

English: Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യിൽ ദീർഘായുസ്സും ഇടങ്കയ്യിൽ ധനവും മാനവും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

Malayalam: അതിന്റെ വഴികൾ ഇമ്പമുള്ള വഴികളും അതിന്റെ പാതകളെല്ലാം സമാധാനവും ആകുന്നു.

English: She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retains her.

Malayalam: അതിനെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നവർക്കു അതു ജീവ വൃക്ഷം; അതിനെ കരസ്ഥമാക്കുന്നവർ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

English: The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding has he established the heavens.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനത്താൽ യഹോവ ഭൂമിയെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു; വിവേകത്താൽ അവൻ ആകാശത്തെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

English: By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

Malayalam: അവന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്താൽ ആഴങ്ങൾ പിളർന്നു; മേഘങ്ങൾ മഞ്ഞു പൊഴിക്കുന്നു.

English: My son, let not them depart from yours eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

Malayalam: മകനേ, ജ്ഞാനവും വകതിരിവും കാത്തുകൊൾക; അവ നിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽനിന്നു മാറിപ്പോകരുതു.

English: So shall they be life unto your soul, and grace to your neck.

Malayalam: അവ നിനക്കു ജീവനും നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിന്നു അലങ്കാരവും ആയിരിക്കും.

English: Then shall you walk in your way safely, and your foot shall not stumble.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ നീ നിർഭയമായി വഴിയിൽ നടക്കും; നിന്റെ കാൽ ഇടറുകയുമില്ല.

English: When you lie down, you shall not be afraid: yea, you shall lie down, and your sleep shall be sweet.

Malayalam: നീ കിടപ്പാൻ പോകുമ്പോൾ നിനക്കു പേടി ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; കിടക്കുമ്പോൾ നിന്റെ ഉറക്കം സുഖകരമായിരിക്കും.

English: Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes.

Malayalam: പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള പേടി ഹേതുവായും ദുഷ്ടന്മാർക്കു വരുന്ന നാശംനിമിത്തവും നീ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

English: For the LORD shall be your confidence, and shall keep your foot from being taken.

Malayalam: യഹോവ നിന്റെ ആശ്രയമായിരിക്കും; അവൻ നിന്റെ കാൽ കുടുങ്ങാതവണ്ണം കാക്കും.

English: Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of yours hand to do it.

Malayalam: നന്മ ചെയ്‍വാൻ നിനക്കു പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളപ്പോൾ അതിന്നു യോഗ്യന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കരുതു.

English: Say not unto your neighbour, Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give; when you have it by you.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു: പോയിവരിക, നാളെത്തരാം എന്നു പറയരുതു.

English: Devise not evil against your neighbour, seeing he dwells securely by you.

Malayalam: കൂട്ടുകാരൻ സമീപേ നിർഭയം വസിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അവന്റെ നേരെ ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കരുതു.

English: Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done you no harm.

Malayalam: നിനക്കു ഒരു ദോഷവും ചെയ്യാത്ത മനുഷ്യനോടു നീ വെറുതെ ശണ്ഠയിടരുതു.

English: Envy you not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

Malayalam: സാഹസക്കാരനോടു നീ അസൂയപ്പെടരുതു; അവന്റെ വഴികൾ ഒന്നും തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കയുമരുതു.

English: For the perverse is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

Malayalam: വക്രതയുള്ളവൻ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാർക്കോ അവന്റെ സഖ്യത ഉണ്ടു.

English: The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesses the habitation of the just.

Malayalam: യഹോവയുടെ ശാപം ദുഷ്ടന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടു; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തെയോ അവൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

English: Surely he scorns the scorners: but he gives grace unto the lowly.

Malayalam: പരിഹാസികളെ അവൻ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു; എളിയവക്കോ അവൻ കൃപ നല്കുന്നു.

English: The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനികൾ ബഹുമാനത്തെ അവകാശമാക്കും; ഭോഷന്മാരുടെ ഉയർച്ചയോ അപമാനം തന്നേ.
