Luke 9

English: Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Malayalam: അവൻ പന്തിരുവരെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിച്ചു, സകല ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെമേലും വ്യാധികളെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുവാനും അവർക്കു ശക്തിയും അധികാരവും കൊടുത്തു;

English: And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Malayalam: ദൈവരാജ്യം പ്രസംഗിപ്പാനും രോഗികൾക്കു സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തുവാനും അവരെ അയച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു:

English: And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor pouch, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

Malayalam: വഴിക്കു വടിയും പൊക്കണവും അപ്പവും പണവും ഒന്നും എടുക്കരുതു; രണ്ടു ഉടുപ്പും അരുതു.

English: And whatsoever house all of you enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ ഏതു വീട്ടിൽ എങ്കിലും ചെന്നാൽ അവിടം വിട്ടുപോകുംവരെ അവിടെത്തന്നെ പാർപ്പിൻ.

English: And whosoever will not receive you, when all of you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

Malayalam: ആരെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാതിരുന്നാൽ ആ പട്ടണം വിട്ടു അവരുടെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലിൽനിന്നു പൊടി തട്ടിക്കളവിൻ.

English: And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

Malayalam: അവർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു എങ്ങും സുവിശേഷിച്ചും രോഗികളെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയും കൊണ്ടു ഊർതോറും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

English: Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;

Malayalam: സംഭവിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം ഇടപ്രഭുവായ ഹെരോദാവു കേട്ടു.

English: And of some, that Elijah had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.

Malayalam: യോഹന്നാൻ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നു ചിലരും ഏലീയാവു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു ചിലരും പുരാതനപ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നു മറ്റുചിലരും പറക കൊണ്ടു ഹെരോദാവു ചഞ്ചലിച്ചു:

English: And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

Malayalam: യോഹന്നാനെ ഞാൻ ശിരഃഛേദം ചെയ്തു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളതു കേൾക്കുന്ന ഇവൻ ആർ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ കാണ്മാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു.

English: And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

Malayalam: അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർ മടങ്ങിവന്നിട്ടു തങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു. അവൻ അവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ബേത്ത്സയിദ എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു തനിച്ചു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

English: And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spoke unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

Malayalam: അതു പുരുഷാരം അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു. അവൻ അവരെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അവരോടു സംസാരിക്കയും രോഗശാന്തി വേണ്ടിയവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

English: And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

Malayalam: പകൽ കഴിവാറായപ്പോൾ പന്തിരുവർ അടുത്തുവന്നു അവനോടു: ഇവിടെ നാം മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ആയിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു പുരുഷാരം ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ഊരുകളിലും കുടികളിലും പോയി രാത്രി പാർപ്പാനും ആഹാരം വാങ്ങുവാനും വേണ്ടി അവരെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But he said unto them, Give all of you them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy food for all this people.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ അവർക്കു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ കൊടുപ്പിൻ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: അഞ്ചപ്പവും രണ്ടുമീനും അല്ലാതെ അധികം ഞങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ ഇല്ല; ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി ഈ സകലജനത്തിന്നും വേണ്ടി ഭോജ്യങ്ങൾ കൊള്ളേണമോ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

Malayalam: ഏകദേശം അയ്യായിരം പുരുഷന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ അവർ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “അവരെ അമ്പതു വീതം പന്തിപന്തിയായി ഇരുത്തുവിൻ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And they did so, and made them all sit down.

Malayalam: അവർ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു എല്ലാവരെയും ഇരുത്തി.

English: Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

Malayalam: അവൻ ആ അഞ്ചു അപ്പവും രണ്ടു മീനും എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കി അവയെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നു വിളമ്പുവാൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു.

English: And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി, ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം പന്ത്രണ്ടു കൊട്ട എടുത്തു.

English: And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

Malayalam: അവൻ തനിച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അവരോടു: “പുരുഷാരം എന്നെ ആരെന്നു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others say, that one of the old prophets has risen again.

Malayalam: യോഹന്നാൻസ്നാപകൻ എന്നും ചിലർ ഏലീയാവു എന്നും മറ്റു ചിലർ പുരാതന പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നും പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: He said unto them, But whom say all of you that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ആരെന്നു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he strictly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

Malayalam: “ഇതു ആരോടും പറയരുതെന്നു” അവൻ അവരോടു അമർച്ചയായിട്ടു കല്പിച്ചു.

English: Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

Malayalam: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ പലതും സഹിക്കയും മൂപ്പന്മാർ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർ ശാസ്ത്രികൾ എന്നിവർ അവനെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലുകയും അവൻ മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Malayalam: പിന്നെ അവൻ എല്ലാവരോടും പറഞ്ഞതു: “എന്നെ അനുഗമിപ്പാൻ ഒരുത്തൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാൽ അവൻ തന്നെത്താൻ നിഷേധിച്ചു നാൾതോറും തന്റെ ക്രൂശ് എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ.

English: For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Malayalam: ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാൽ അതിനെ കളയും; എന്റെ നിമിത്തം ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ജീവനെ കളഞ്ഞാലോ അതിനെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

English: For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

Malayalam: ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ സർവ്വലോകവും നേടീട്ടു തന്നെത്താൻ നഷ്ടമാക്കിക്കളകയോ ചേതം വരുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്താൻ അവന്നു എന്തു പ്രയോജനം?

English: For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Malayalam: ആരെങ്കിലും എന്നെയും എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ചു നാണിച്ചാൽ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തന്റെയും പിതാവിന്റെയും വിശുദ്ധദൂതന്മാരുടെയും മഹത്വത്തിൽ വരുമ്പോൾ നാണിക്കും.

English: But I tell you truthfully, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദൈവരാജ്യം കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവർ ചിലർ ഇവിടെ നിൽക്കുന്നവരിൽ ഉണ്ടു സത്യം” എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

English: And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

Malayalam: ഈ വാക്കുകളെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഏകദേശം എട്ടുനാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവൻ പത്രൊസിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പാൻ മലയിൽ കയറിപ്പോയി.

English: And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and flashing.

Malayalam: അവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുമ്പോൾ മുഖത്തിന്റെ ഭാവം മാറി, ഉടുപ്പു മിന്നുന്ന വെള്ളയായും തിർന്നു.

English: And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elijah:

Malayalam: രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാർ അവനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു; മോശെയും ഏലീയാവും തന്നേ.

English: Who appeared in glory, and spoke of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

Malayalam: അവർ തേജസ്സിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷരായി അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ പ്രാപിപ്പാനുള്ള നിര്യാണത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചു.

English: But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

Malayalam: പത്രൊസും കൂടെയുള്ളവരും ഉറക്കത്താൽ ഭാരപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു; ഉണർന്നശേഷം അവന്റെ തേജസ്സിനെയും അവനോടു കൂടെ നില്ക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരെയും കണ്ടു.

English: And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: not knowing what he said.

Malayalam: അവർ അവനെ വിട്ടുപിരിയുമ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടു: ഗുരോ, നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു; ഞങ്ങൾ മൂന്നു കുടിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ, ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു താൻ പറയുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അറിയാതെ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: While he thus spoke, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

Malayalam: ഇതു പറയുമ്പോൾ ഒരു മേഘം വന്നു അവരുടെമേൽ നിഴലിട്ടു. അവർ മേഘത്തിൽ ആയപ്പോൾ പേടിച്ചു.

English: And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Malayalam: മേഘത്തിൽനിന്നു: ഇവൻ എന്റെ പ്രിയപുത്രൻ, ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിൻ എന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായി.

English: And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

Malayalam: ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായ നേരത്തു യേശുവിനെ തനിയേ കണ്ടു; അവർ കണ്ടതു ഒന്നും ആ നാളുകളിൽ ആരോടും അറിയിക്കാതെ മൌനമായിരുന്നു.

English: And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

Malayalam: പിറ്റെന്നാൾ അവർ മലയിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി വന്നപ്പോൾ ബഹുപുരുഷാരം അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു.

English: And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I plead to you, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.

Malayalam: കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരാൾ നിലവിളിച്ചു: ഗുരോ, എന്റെ മകനെ കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ എനിക്കു ഏകജാതൻ ആകുന്നു.

English: And, lo, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out; and it tears him that he foams again, and bruising him hardly departs from him.

Malayalam: ഒരാത്മാവു അവനെ പിടിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ പൊടുന്നനവേ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അതു അവനെ നുരെപ്പിച്ചു പിടെപ്പിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവനെ ഞെരിച്ചിട്ടു പ്രയാസത്തോടെ വിട്ടുമാറുന്നു.

English: And I besought your disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

Malayalam: അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാൻ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring your son here.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു: “അവിശ്വാസവും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നിങ്ങളെ സഹിക്കും? നിന്റെ മകനെ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരിക” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു;

English: And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

Malayalam: അവൻ വരുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ ഭൂതം അവനെ തള്ളിയിട്ടു പിടെപ്പിച്ചു. യേശു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചു ബാലനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി, അപ്പനെ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

English: And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

Malayalam: എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയിങ്കൽ വിസ്മയിച്ചു. യേശു ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ ഒക്കെയും എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു:

English: Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

Malayalam: “നിങ്ങൾ ഈ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ: മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാൻ പോകുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

Malayalam: ആ വാക്കു അവർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; അതു തിരിച്ചറിയാതവണ്ണം അവർക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; ആ വാക്കു സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ അവർ ശങ്കിച്ചു.

English: Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

Malayalam: അവരിൽവെച്ചു ആർ വലിയവൻ എന്നു ഒരു വാദം അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നടന്നു.

English: And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

Malayalam: യേശു അവരുടെ ഹൃദയവിചാരം കണ്ടു ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തു അരികെ നിറുത്തി:

English: And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receives me: and whosoever shall receive me receives him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

Malayalam: “ഈ ശിശുവിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും കൈക്കൊണ്ടാൽ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവനോ എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരിലും ചെറിയവനായവൻ അത്രേ വലിയവൻ ആകും” എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in your name; and we forbad him, because he follows not with us.

Malayalam: നാഥാ, ഒരുത്തൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നതു ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു; ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കായ്കയാൽ അവനെ വിരോധിച്ചു എന്നു യോഹന്നാൻ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യേശു അവനോടു:

English: And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Malayalam: വിരോധിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രതികൂലമല്ലാത്തവൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

Malayalam: അവന്റെ ആരോഹണത്തിന്നുള്ള കാലം തികയാറായപ്പോൾ അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്രയാവാൻ മനസ്സു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു തനിക്കു മുമ്പായി ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു.

English: And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.

Malayalam: അവർ പോയി അവന്നായി വട്ടംകൂട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു ശമര്യക്കാരുടെ ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ചെന്നു.

English: And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ അവർ അവനെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടില്ല.

English: And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, will you that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elijah did?

Malayalam: അതു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരായ യാക്കോബും യോഹന്നാനും കണ്ടിട്ടു: കർത്താവേ, (ഏലിയാവു ചെയ്തതുപോലെ) ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു തീ ഇറങ്ങി അവരെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നതു നിനക്കു സമ്മതമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, All of you know not what manner of spirit all of you are of.

Malayalam: അവൻ തിരിഞ്ഞു അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു: (“നിങ്ങൾ ഏതു ആത്മാവിന്നു അധീനർ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല;

English: For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യ പുത്രൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ പ്രാണങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാനല്ല രക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ വന്നതു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.) അവർ വേറൊരു ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു പോയി.

English: And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow you anywhere you go.

Malayalam: അവർ വഴിപോകുമ്പോൾ ഒരുത്തൻ അവനോടു: നീ എവിടെപോയാലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has not where to lay his head.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “കുറുനരികൾക്കു കുഴിയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവജാതിക്കു കൂടും ഉണ്ടു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നോ തല ചായിപ്പാൻ സ്ഥലമില്ല ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

Malayalam: വേറൊരുത്തനോടു: “എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാറെ അവൻ: ഞാൻ മുമ്പെ പോയി എന്റെ അപ്പനെ കുഴിച്ചിടുവാൻ അനുവാദം തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go you and preach the kingdom of God.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവനോടു: “മരിച്ചവർ തങ്ങളുടെ മരിച്ചവരെ കുഴിച്ചിടട്ടെ; നീയോ പോയി ദൈവരാജ്യം അറിയിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And another also said, Lord, I will follow you; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

Malayalam: മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ: കർത്താവേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കാം; ആദ്യം എന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവരോടു യാത്ര പറവാൻ അനുവാദം തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: “കലപ്പെക്കു കൈ വെച്ച ശേഷം പുറകോട്ടു നോക്കുന്നവൻ ആരും ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്നു കൊള്ളാകുന്നവനല്ല ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
