Proverbs 29

English: He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Malayalam: കൂടക്കൂടെ ശാസന കേട്ടിട്ടും ശാഠ്യം കാണിക്കുന്നവൻ നീക്കുപോക്കില്ലാതെ പെട്ടെന്നു നശിച്ചുപോകും.

English: When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn.

Malayalam: നീതിമാന്മാർ വർദ്ധിക്കുമ്പോൾ ജനം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടൻ ആധിപത്യം നടത്തുമ്പോഴോ ജനം നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നു.

English: Whoso loves wisdom rejoices his father: but he that keeps company with harlots spends his substance.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; വേശ്യകളോടു സഹവാസം ചെയ്യുന്നവനോ തന്റെ സമ്പത്തു നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: The king by judgment establishes the land: but he that receives gifts overthrows it.

Malayalam: രാജാവു ന്യായപാലനത്താൽ രാജ്യത്തെ നിലനിർത്തുന്നു; നികുതി വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനോ അതിനെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: A man that flatters his neighbour spreads a net for his feet.

Malayalam: കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു മുഖസ്തുതി പറയുന്നവൻ അവന്റെ കാലിന്നു ഒരു വല വിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous does sing and rejoice.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്കർമ്മി തന്റെ ലംഘനത്തിൽ കുടുങ്ങുന്നു; നീതിമാനോ ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

English: The righteous considers the cause of the poor: but the wicked regards not to know it.

Malayalam: നീതിമാൻ അഗതികളുടെ കാര്യം അറിയുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടനോ പരിജ്ഞാനം ഇന്നതെന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ല.

English: Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.

Malayalam: പരിഹാസികൾ പട്ടണത്തിൽ കോപാഗ്നി ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ജ്ഞാനികളോ ക്രോധത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: If a wise man contends with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

Malayalam: ജ്ഞാനിക്കും ഭോഷന്നും തമ്മിൽ വാഗ്വാദം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു അവൻ കോപിച്ചാലോ ചിരിച്ചാലോ ശമനം വരികയില്ല.

English: The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

Malayalam: രക്തപാതകന്മാർ നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; നേരുള്ളവരോ അവന്റെ പ്രാണരക്ഷ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു.

English: A fool utters all his mind: but a wise man keeps it in till afterwards.

Malayalam: മൂഢൻ തന്റെ കോപത്തെ മുഴുവനും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; ജ്ഞാനിയോ അതിനെ അടക്കി ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

Malayalam: അധിപതി നുണ കേൾപ്പാൻ തുടങ്ങിയാൽ അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരൊക്കെയും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരാകും.

English: The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lightens both their eyes.

Malayalam: ദരിദ്രനും പീഡകനും തമ്മിൽ എതിർപെടുന്നു; ഇരുവരുടെയും കണ്ണു യഹോവ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: The king that faithfully judges the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.

Malayalam: അഗതികൾക്കു വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യുന്ന രാജാവിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും.

English: The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself brings his mother to shame.

Malayalam: വടിയും ശാസനയും ജ്ഞാനത്തെ നല്കുന്നു; തന്നിഷ്ടത്തിന്നു വിട്ടിരുന്ന ബാലനോ അമ്മെക്കു ലജ്ജ വരുത്തുന്നു.

English: When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases: but the righteous shall see their fall.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ പെരുകുമ്പോൾ അതിക്രമം പെരുകുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരോ അവരുടെ വീഴ്ച കാണും.

English: Correct your son, and he shall give you rest; yea, he shall give delight unto your soul.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ മകനെ ശിക്ഷിക്ക; അവൻ നിനക്കു ആശ്വാസമായ്തീരും; അവൻ നിന്റെ മനസ്സിന്നു പ്രമോദംവരുത്തും.

English: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.

Malayalam: വെളിപ്പാടു ഇല്ലാത്തെടത്തു ജനം മര്യാദവിട്ടു നടക്കുന്നു; ന്യായപ്രമാണം കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നവനോ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

English: A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.

Malayalam: ദാസനെ ഗുണീകരിപ്പാൻ വാക്കു മാത്രം പോരാ; അവൻ അതു ഗ്രഹിച്ചാലും കൂട്ടാക്കുകയില്ലല്ലോ.

English: See you a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Malayalam: വാക്കിൽ ബദ്ധപ്പാടുള്ള മനുഷ്യനെ നീ കാണുന്നുവോ? അവനെക്കാൾ മൂഢനെക്കുറിച്ചു അധികം പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ടു.

English: He that delicately brings up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.

Malayalam: ദാസനെ ബാല്യംമുതൽ ലാളിച്ചുവളർത്തുന്നവനോടു അവൻ ഒടുക്കം ദുശ്ശാഠ്യം കാണിക്കും.

English: An angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds in transgression.

Malayalam: കോപമുള്ളവൻ വഴക്കുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ക്രോധമുള്ളവൻ അതിക്രമം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഗർവ്വം അവനെ താഴ്ത്തിക്കളയും; മനോവിനയമുള്ളവനോ മാനം പ്രാപിക്കും.

English: Whoso is partner with a thief hates his own soul: he hears cursing, and betrayed it not.

Malayalam: കള്ളനുമായി പങ്കു കൂടുന്നവൻ സ്വന്ത പ്രാണനെ പകെക്കുന്നു; അവൻ സത്യവാചകം കേൾക്കുന്നു; ഒന്നും പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.

English: The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Malayalam: മാനുഷഭയം ഒരു കണി ആകുന്നു; യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവനോ രക്ഷപ്രാപിക്കും.

English: Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment comes from the LORD.

Malayalam: അനേകർ അധിപതിയുടെ മുഖപ്രസാദം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യന്റെ ന്യായവിധിയോ യഹോവയാൽ വരുന്നു.

English: An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

Malayalam: നീതികെട്ടവൻ നീതിമാന്മാർക്കു വെറുപ്പു; സന്മാർഗ്ഗി ദുഷ്ടന്മാർക്കും വെറുപ്പു.
