Psalms 8

English: O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth! who have set your glory above the heavens.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നാമം ഭൂമിയിലൊക്കെയും എത്ര ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായിരിക്കുന്നു! നീ ആകാശത്തിൽ നിന്റെ തേജസ്സു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Out of the mouth of babes and infants have you ordained strength because of yours enemies, that you might still the enemy and the avenger.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ വൈരികൾനിമിത്തം, ശത്രുവിനെയും പകയനെയും മിണ്ടാതാക്കുവാൻ തന്നേ, നീ ശിശുക്കളുടെയും മുലകുടിക്കുന്നവരുടെയും വായിൽനിന്നു ബലം നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;

Malayalam: നിന്റെ വിരലുകളുടെ പണിയായ ആകാശത്തെയും നീ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ചന്ദ്രനെയും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെയും നോക്കുമ്പോൾ,

English: What is man, that you are mindful of him? and the son of man, that you visit him?

Malayalam: മർത്യനെ നീ ഓർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ എന്തു? മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ സന്ദർശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ എന്തുമാത്രം?

English: For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honour.

Malayalam: നീ അവനെ ദൈവത്തെക്കാൾ അല്പം മാത്രം താഴ്ത്തി, തേജസ്സും ബഹുമാനവും അവനെ അണിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet:

Malayalam: നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കു നീ അവനെ അധിപതിയാക്കി, സകലത്തെയും അവന്റെ കാൽകീഴെയാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

English: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

Malayalam: ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും എല്ലാം കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും

English: The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passes through the paths of the seas.

Malayalam: ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളെയും സമുദ്രത്തിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെയും സമുദ്രമാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന സകലത്തെയും തന്നേ.

English: O LORD our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth!

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളുടെ കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നാമം ഭൂമിയിലൊക്കെയും എത്ര ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായിരിക്കുന്നു!
